I have been growing my hair for 1 year and 3 months (started in September 2020) and still cannot to make a man-bun. My hair grew past my neck (mostly) but the front hair isn't long enough (barely past my lip) to be tied back and just dangles in front of my eyes, when I try to make a bun... Any ways to somehow hide those front hair, without the use of bobby-pins?
Tried growing hair twice but ended up trimming both times, growing it for the 3rd time now from a buzz cut, 2 months in and I feel like my hair is thinning and density is decreasing, maybe because the hair is getting longer so it's thinning a bit, btw I take multi vitamins everyday so ig biotin requirement is fulfilled....btw m 16
My suggestions from experience is drink water, massage your scalp, use a little oil (not too much) wash hair no more than every other day with shampoo, check the ingredients of the products you use (good products make a big difference) and always use conditioner after washing your hair. Have a good balanced diet biotin helps but isn't magic sadly. Also the longer your hair grows the thinner it feels and looks, but be careful to be gentle when drying your hair, this was the big change for as I always used to be brutally towel drying my hair since forever, 6 months after I was more careful and used a hair dryer on medium heat, it was better. Also do try some hair thickening products like hair mousses and I can also recommend all the bluemaan products if you haven't tried them, they're good and i think they're on Amazon if shipping from the USA/Canada is an issue
Also if you feel like your hair is thinning fast, see a doctor and check out hair loss prevention products. But they are never permanent, and hair transplants are usually recommended after 35 years old I think

I've tried growing out my hair in the past only to get a buzz cut twice. I looked good, but always wanted long hair. Now 1 year into my journey from my buzz cut, I can do a high bun and other hairstyles haha. My goal it shoulder length! Don't give up bro, you got this! 😄🤝👍
