    Thanks for sharing guys. I bought this pump and it is great. I rode for seven hours yesterday with four different wings across the session - 8 / 6.5 / 5.5 / 4.5. Was a great day! I have severe tendinitis in my forearm and without this pump (and a harness) I could never have done it so this is a real session saver for me!

    I think making this sport more affordable would be the game changer we need. There are so many people who see this sport and say they would love to try it, but then they see the price of gear. A truly beautiful sport, that is really the best evolution of wind and water.

      It truly is the only industry where supply and demand is completely backwards! In the company’s head they say “hey how can we make more money when only so few do this sport? Charge more money. The majority use extremely low wage workers only to charge what it would cost if they built in countries in Europe or USA.

    • @t7639

      @elliotbawden7205 I actually am able to buy at wholesale which is great, that being said I cringe at what the gear is actually made for. Kite companies that were probably going to fold are now switching gears for the latest cash cow. Its very sad that a sport that's about as simple as it gets is unattainable for the majority of people. Its great that there is a new battery powered pump, but not even Damo and Gwenn are immune from the corporate greed that we all are facing. Mic drop.

    I have bought a couple of similar versions in the past year. This one has a nice large battery and you can add battery capacity. In any event, don’t leave your 2-stage manual pump at home since you may need it if the inflator doesn’t want to work that day!

    Thanks for this review and recommendation Damien and Gwen.. I bought this pump and used it today for the first time with my F-one 7m Strike. What a pleasure and luxury to inflate the wing with this pump! The hose and adapter fit my F-one perfectly. I have to get a different hose for my Cabrinha wings, but they are smaller and not a big deal if I have to hand pump. This inflater/deflater is a game changer. I have some tendonitis currently in right elbow and hand pumping a 7m would have been brutal . This pump saved the day!!!! I rested the pump on the underside of my board so the intake wouldn't collect and sand or grass and worked well.

The darn valve didn’t seat properly had to totally deflate and start from scratch. Remembered my 12 volt pump for the inflatable dinghy which I’ll be using next session for sure. The best thing about this type of pumps is the guage is spot on Accurate. The analog gauges that come with hand pumps are mostly wildly inaccurate. Making the adapter work is the only trick. I have a different brand but wouldn't be without it.

    How exactly did you attach the cut hose to the pump before tightening it with a zip tie? In the absence of the adapter for Cabrina and BRM I wanted to do the cut hose work around but the hose appears too small to fit into the pump.

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  Год назад

      Peter, Sorry for the delay... We twist it on and get it over the pump adaptor. Hard to know if your hose is too small. It may be but usually it's a really a tight fit. We cut the hose right at the end of the hand pump and slid it on to the electric pump connection by twisting then zip tied it. You also can ask them if the can send all the attachments from the puffer pro as they now make the attachments after the video we did but comes with the puffer Pro. www.airbankpump.com/products/airbank-puffer-pro-rechargeable-pump I hope this helps. Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Hi Damien, the way you connect a Cabrinha brand hose to the pump, it would only allow you to inflate Cabrinha wings. However, if you make use of their existing hose, make an "adopter" with screw threads on one end (similar to their existing five attachments) and an universal kite pump connection on the other end, then anyone can attach their own brands of pump adopters or brands of pump hoses to it. Perhaps, the "Cabrinha attachment" you mentioned in the video meant for the same thing??

    Product update after a couple weeks. Used for Kites. Pump works great. I can get 6 or 7 sessions in before having to recharge. Some issues with it. It sits very low to the ground so sand intake can be a problem. We put a small air filter on it that you can get from amazon for $10 and that takes care of it. Search for "YXQ 25mm 1" Air Filter". I'd put the link, but last time I added a link my comment disappeared. Damo was right about the hose. Initially I just used an adapter for the Boston connection, but the hose that comes with the pump is just too small for that. You need to get an old (or new) hose and just zip tie it to it. Simple fix. The final thing about it is the opening in the bottom. There is a 12v power cord there that is only used to power the pump, not charge it (plugs into a car cigarette port). It sits in a little cubby underneath. Salt and sand get in there very easily and will soon corrode that 12v piece. I don't ever plan on using that since I'm using it down at the beach, but I didn't want to just cut it off, so I covered the hole with duct tape. I lied, it wasn't the final thing, but this is. The pump is very light as the guys said, really not much more than a regular hand pump. What that means though is that it's not heavy enough to hold down your kite in any kind of moderate wind. I attached a leash to it to hook to the kite, but it's so light that you still need to either put something on the pump, hook it to something else, or sit there and monitor it. I don't mind keeping an eye on things, so I sit and monitor, but keep that in consideration. Even with all the above, I'm still happy to have gotten it.

    i purchased this same pump before i had seen your video and the first time I used it on my F-One 7M strike, I set it for 6 PSI to be safe to not approach or exceed the recommended 8. At around 1.6 PSI I quickly removed the hose connection as i felt the digital gauge was inaccurate as the wing felt already fully inflated. I had no way to tell how correct or incorrect the PSI gauge was but there was no way i was going to destroy and blow up a brand new $1.2K wing. Can someone provide their experiences with setting this pump and walking away and relying on the PSI settings to stop the pump when it should? I've been using standard manual pump for now until i am comfortable with this model.

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  Год назад

      You really should be fine friend! Most hand pumps with gauges are very off the actual PSI. The wings and kites can handle a lot of pressure! Build your trust and confidence your way, but you should be fine. You can always under inflate to say 2 psi and if you are good with that and your wing flys fine for you. Then that is your stopping point moving forward with the electric point. Have a great week!

      @@DamienLeroyRUclips Thanks for speedy reply. I will do as you suggested and set it to 2psi to be totally safe and monitor it as it inflates. So strange that the kite was rock hard (no jokes here please) at around 1.6 on their digital readout when the wing is rated to be proper at 8 psi.

      @m Spring Also, make sure the pump is set in PSI and not bar, sounds like it may have been in bar. I set mine to 8-9 psi all the time and never had an issue, but if you set it to 6 bar then that is way above the recommended pressure for wings and kites.

      I just have this problem solved today. Got a Duotone pump's hose/adopters set from my local kite shop for $8.95. Remove the "pump side adopter" by dipping it into boiling water for 15 seconds to soften the glue and then pull it out. Slip the hose over one of the two Topump SUP adopters and then screw the adopter to the Topump hose "per design". I was able to pump up my 2.5 m Slick to 9.5 psi with ease. Zip tie or glue the connection if you want to make it more secured. I found the Topump hose very short and rigid; the extension worked much better.

Also, they created their own tube connectors so you cannot use any of the usual kite/wing adapters nor connect a regular pump tube to it. Hopefully they will create one but for now do not buy this if you want it for kites or wings. Wait for the correct adapters.

Sure, if you’re taking 1 SUP out, that’s one thing but with my situation, it’s very different. Plus, I travel with my watercraft around the world so a device like this is a game changer when you fly to Lake Como with 3 to 5 watercraft.
