People seem to forget the double in 93/94 where Keane and Ince played together for most of the season and Robbo only started 10 games. They were brilliant together. Ince was sold because fergie didn’t like players that he perceived were getting too big for their boots. Ince was a top class player.

I may be wrong but I think it also has to do with how they connected with the fans. I don't think Owen connected with the fans the same way Fowler or Gerrard did. I don't know how Ince connected with either fan base, so I can't really speak on that.

Asking someone who has played for both Liverpool and United which team is bigger is a ridiculous premise.
Ask someone who knows nothing about football. They are both massive clubs with history. Ask any expert to choose and they can't. They are both massive clubs.
    But don't ask. And listen.
Before the question is asked, a bad spell occurs at united. The press, pundits, players will all say Manchester United, "W 6:31 hats going on, they are supposed to be one of the.biggest clubs in the world!".
If Liverpool have a bad patch, it elicits the response, Liverpool aee going through a torrid time.
In the Premier League Era, as the game grew from a sport on a Saturday to almost everyday entertainment, United became number one again.
In the seventies and eighties when Liverpool won everything, United were still widely regarded around the world. From the Busby Babes, Munich and 68, United were best known, biggest.
When Liverpool turn up to play, teams want to win, it is a great result. When United turn up to play, it is the highlight of the season. It is the highlight for Liverpool fans, City fans. United want to beat both, and locally fans expected them too, but wotldwide, beatimg United seems to matter more than beating city or Liverpool.
Its not about results, trophies or even bragging rights. United are a class above. Fact. The game at that level is almost ad much about perception as performance.
And the media, including talk sport are obsessed. Liverpool and City have played each other in the past week. A massive game in the title race. Look through the list of videos in the past fortnight, month, see which team gets the most videos made, which team is used in the title to entice clicks. On the world wide web.
    United.
And after all of it, the football matters too.
City and Liverpool play. Everton scamdalously punished, Arsenal.somehow back top of the table.
    And everybody in the media.
Garnacho scores the goal of the.season. United.
You can argue about who is more successful, playing better, in form. But aside from a decent period for a decade, the.answer as to who is biggest, to anyone outside Liverpool, would be United.
And going purely on the Premier League that took the British game truly global in scale, there is no comparison in terms of fans, finances, and players who would feature in an all time PL top 11.
Neville usually gets picked, not Carra. Keane, Scholes, Cantona, Ronaldo, Rooney Schmichael, all get chosen, or very close. Liverpool was Stevie Gerrard. All time greats.
But Liverpool. A great side, a great history, and with their share of tragedy and dignity. Not taking anything away from them, or their fans, but United are just bigger. They just are.

First time he's heard it my foot! Never scored at Old Trafford, never mind in the FA Cup. 98 was 1-1. the cup game which they lost with the two late goals he got subbed. I was sat a few seats away and asked him what he'd won recently, was trying to get a bite out of him, which worked. He lost the plot jumping up calling me a little... Brad Fridel was on the bench next to him and started chuckling, even your mates laughing at you Charlie. He was lucky he wasn't caught on camera, I also accept I may have been lucky he didn't decide to come over. The scousers didn't like him any more than we did.
