Slaps are actually much louder than punches because of the sound of the wind caught in the palm of the hand. Punches don’t usually make a lot of noise because it doesn’t have the same effect, since they are closed fists. The sound they use in movies and shows is just to boost the audiences understanding that an impact was made.

“We’re not talking about some bald fat guy in a toga. We’re talking about god.” Sounds a little like Jo’s describing Buddha. Some religious people believe that their god is the only god.

@@auntydale Oh come now, it's the white man's god that's the real deal! All the others are just knockoffs, even though they were talked about thousands of years before the Judeo-Christian god.

"Tootie! This is NO laughing matter!"
Me - "EVERYTHING is a laughing matter, if you look at it the right way!"
Also.... I had forgotten that Lisa Whelchel agreed to this episode... which is wild, considering her religious views and how she actively stood up against an episode where Blair was supposed to be pregnant.

Interesting. You would think Jo would be the atheist and Blair would be the religious nut. But when it gets in the way of someone she cares about there isn’t much room for god.
