    Fun fact: Mindy Cohn was the voice of Velma in Scooby Doo from 2002-2015. She is also the godmother of 2 of Angelina and Brad Pitts children.

    The facts of life was my all time favorite show from the 80’s , I grew up watching this show and it became my absolute favorite show. I loved all the characters from this show, ( Mrs Garret , Blair , Natalie , Tootie , Jo ) . Jo was my favorite character of all, she had that tough girl image that you just didn’t want to mess with her . I am glad that I can watch this show to this day on DVD . I have the entire box set .

    Oh how I miss these times.. miss all these old shows like bewitched, Jennifer’s place, growing pains, silver spoons, gimme a break, it’s a living, threes company, Etc etc the list goes on. Sad those days are gone but feel so privileged that I got to be a part of it.

    I loved this show when it was originally on, and I still love it today! It’s so gentle and easy to watch, and it just makes you feel good inside to see people so kind and loving towards each other. We sure don’t live in this world anymore!

    This was the last great season of FOL imo. Once it went to pastel and Over Our Heads and Jo lost her ponytail AND Bronx accent it went south fast. Love seasons 2-5 tho

    This was always my favourite of any of the sitcom Halloween episodes. I remembered every detail of it from when I was a kid...except how crazy Natalie's overalls were!

    So Roy also appeared in the Edna's Edibles era. That means he spanned 3 eras - Eastland Cafeteria, Edna's Edibles, and Over Our Heads. It was only in the final era that Jo was not nasty to him.

    FOL, alongside of different Strokes, Good Times, Sanford and Son and countless other classics from the 70's and 80's have kept tv alive. This was a once in a lifetime and I'm glad I was part of it.

      People here kept mentioning Over Our Heads and I had no idea what it meant. I had to look it up. Apparently I stopped watching at that time and/or blocked it from my memory! Sounds like that was a good decision!

    Good episode of a fine show, that tackled a lot of tough subjects . There was an episode on s**cide, several on divorce, death of a favorite teacher, deciding when to lose v*rg**ity, all the big issues for young people.

      Blair at a certain point, was physically as large if not larger than Natalie, yet Natalie was the “fat” character. Lisa got away with being “fat” somehow.

      @@Mister_Listener Lisa didn't get away with it. She was mocked by the media/viewers for her weight gain and sent to fat camp by the producers. Nancy also put on a few pounds at some point, so the show was often referred to as "The _Fats_ of Life" by the mid 1980s.

      Seriously. I was legit scared for a bit. Worried about those kids. But it could still be a valuable lesson for your kids about why doing what Natalie did was wrong. although, you as the parent would have to expand on that as the show didn't really tackle how seriously this could have gone wrong.
      We have an issue with prank culture and kids need to learn the dangers that can come from such elaborate pranks that trigger survival instincts that can turn deadly.

      Really? Every kid in my neighborhood watched this when it was on. Are kids that sensitive these days? It is all very silly stuff with a lesson at the end.
