Hi Frank! I love the suburb! My focus is on quality of life and living in a suburb with relative proximity to downtown would be ideal. And I currently live in Ceara, the northeast of Brazil, where the average temperature is 86º F, but personally I love the cold! I'm considering the Austin area to move to. I would have to see employment conditions and things like that, but with each passing day it becomes an inevitable change.
I lived in Austin Texas back in it's hey days. Moved to Austin in 1969 my dad was a pilot and was stationed at Bergstrom AFB. We lived in a south Austin neighborhood off south 1st street on a street called Heartwood. Our house was brand new then. Attending Bedechek Jr. High and Crockett high school. It was really a great time to live in Austin. I'm curious how the neighborhood I lived in is like now? We moved away in 1983.
It's too bad the cost of living is soaring, that will make it difficult for the Band's. Many might have to move to San Antonio then that may become the music hub. I live in Florida now, but I've read that Austins House market costs are similar to San Francisco and Boston? I can't imagine that to be true. They will have to have a big increase in wages for all levels of workers. The bar's will need to increase cover charges. I really don't think the Republicans want that. They love it when folks are suffering, especially Democrats. I left Austin not long after a major gerrymandering happened in 2001 or 2002. I really hate Republican politicians. They have become sadistically insane. Abbott can run as many times as he wants. The evangelicals will vote him back in if the preacher tells them to. Anyway I will always love how Austin was when Ann Richards was Governor. It will get better when the Republicans relocate to Mars, that might be in a few decades but Texas will turn blue again.
Great vid! I was thinking of maybe purchasing one or two houses in cash in the greater Austin area sometime this year. (The suburbs). What do you think is a good location to purchase in? I’ve been thinking of Buda, Leander, and Kyle. Ideally I want to purchase each property at around the $350k mark max. These would be investment properties and the main goal is long-term appreciation (15+ years). Thanks Frank!
@@andrewevans7992 yes. By myself. Rent is 1382 which is average in Austin. As far as a job goes I’ll admit I got lucky. I got it before moving. I work as a manicurist
@@andrewevans7992 sadly no. It was definitely cheaper in CA. I’ve noticed that HEB has a monopoly on grocery stores so that might be a reason why. Rent and gas are cheaper here but everything else in my opinion is more expensive

Check out Greenville, SC. It is a great small city with a affordable cost of living.
They should make a South Park episode about Californians moving to places and changing them at this point
I Think moving back to Austin Texas .Is better .The Economy is better and pays more. Rent is out of control but so is everyplace else .
