I need these for my fiesta ST here in Scotland, looking for a 5 spoke design and was going towards compomotive. But seeing this btcc throwback design on a hot hatch just works for me. Can’t find a dealer in uk yet, anyone you can recommend overseas? May have to ship over
I absolutely love the new Veloster- wish we had them in the UK. Wheels look amazing. I loved the Touring cars, especially the Laguna and S40. Remember watching them race at Oulten Park and Will Hoy turned his Mondeo V6 on it’s roof right in front of us! He wasn’t going fast luckily walked away just fine. Great video!
The wheels give it a unique look, i personally would have gone darker with a graphite grey. The car is sweet no matter what u do with it, i love the N.
Love what you did here downsizing the wheels for more sidewall. When will OEMs figure out we want ride quality not massive wheels? Looks amazing man, can't wait to see the autocross video!
Totally agree with the idea to downsize to an 18" wheel but regardless of 1552 being a sponsor, if weight savings was truly a concern for autocross, you could've gotten an 18" wheel that weighs 17lbs (O.Z. Alleeggerita HLT).
1552 was not a sponsor for this video, though this does play like a nice ad for them lol. Totally agree with lighter wheels for Autox. OZ allegerita is a bit on the expensive side. Other flowformed wheels were also contenders. In the end I wanted form more over than function.
As far as looks go, I think what you chose looks awesome. Personally, I think I would have went with something lighter if I planned to track it in any way. The color is fine, it's nice to see something different than black that everyone is doing, including myself. I wanted bronze colored rims but they weren't available in the style I got at the time.
@@ShiftingLanes Wedsport TC105X. About 16.5 lbs per corner on 18x8.5 +50, which is near perfect if you want to keep the stock suspension geometry and not throw the car too far out of balance. I see too many guys going with +35 offsets for more poke, which just ends up making the car feel like it's on ice skates.
Wow i think I might go the same route those just look perfect on the car and I live in NY so the smaller size should be better. Thanks for the video man!
The classic look of the five spoke is timeless imo. These wheels really remind me of the wheels from my all time favorite car - The Mclaren F1! I would’ve definitely went with something a bit lighter though.
I get a little bored with the straight 5 spokes after awhile. Should be good, and look good on the car. Not sure about the paint. I'm definitely looking forward to you modding and auto crossing this car!
This is really helpful.I am going to get a set of wheels for mine before the winter.Did you install the tire pleasure sensor as well?Does it work?If I put the stock wheel back on afterward .Is the oem one still work?I am worry about that.Becasue I am going to install the wheel in the tire shop.I ship it directly to the shop.
@@ShiftingLanes Thanks for your response.Does 18in set up fells softer than the oem set up?For daily driving I need to give my family a ride sometime.I can handle the stock set up but they don"t.😅
I will have to run a second set. I’ve had the Michelin x-ice xi3 and some blizzaks in the past for different cars, and I’ve been generally happy with those. I will make a decision later in the fall with which I’ll go with.
So - to each their own. I personally am also planning on getting a set of the Potenzas as well since the Star Specs aren't offered in larger sizes (that I've seen at least). However, I am not a fan of Fifteen52 wheels at all. They weigh WAY TOO MUCH. I personally don't like any of the wheel styles I've seen of their's either, again, that's just my own opinion.

I’m not sure. But I’m gonna pin this comment to see if anyone can help you out.

thats badass you 3d printed that wrench!
That looks dope! 😮

Great video!
You guys have the i30N right?
You have the I30 that's what some want here in the US we will trade you lols.
In New Zealand we have i30, i30N, and i30N Line and the Veloster N, plus a "normal" turbo and non turbo version. 😁
17 to 18" wheels are the sweet spot on a car like this in my opinion really like the wheel choice think they suit the car!
Thanks dude! 17” is a tougher choice for this car because of the upgraded brakes. But there are some out there.
was not convinced about those wheels until they were mounted. it looks really nice!!!!!
Thanks dude!
I will never disagree with a classic 5-spoke wheel, they're just sorta timeless and look good on everything.
The wheels give it a unique look, i personally would have gone darker with a graphite grey. The car is sweet no matter what u do with it, i love the N.
Looks very nice, much better than before👌👍👊
Nice short video and definitely a good upgrade to the car! Should be quite a fun little AutoX monster! Enjoy it this summer!
They look great Hansen!

Tire spec?
Hey man! Just bought a Veloster N I also live in New Jersey! Hope to see you at shows! I bought fifteen52 Podiums!✌️

@@ShiftingLanes agreed, OZ's are expensive but just doing a quick search on TireRack found them to be the lightest.
I think it looks dope 👌 I wasn't a fan of the wheel but it just works on the N! I definitely see them different now!

Lots of flowformed wheels out there that can be had with 20-21 lb weight.

Omg you’re right. Didn’t even think about that one!
Got these on my Elantra Sport, glad to know if I upgraded to a Veloster N they would still fit!
Brother do you have these wheels laying around???
Honestly I didn’t think I was going to like the wheels but they look good and they serve a purpose 👍🔥

I went for the enkei TS10 on my VN with Continental extreme contact. I think 18in looks better tbh because you can fit some fatter side wall tires
235/40r18 rubber?
Looks awesome!
That is an awesome choice!
How much pressure did you put in those tires?I still not sure.I am going 36 front and 33 rear.Should I follow the stock label?
nice wheels, I got kansei knp 18x9.5 +20 on my 2018 accord sport, wanna trade in for a Veloster N, might poke a hell lot lol we'll see
Does it fit my Volvo?
A bit late but “Glad midsommar” anyway!
They make 5x108 size. You should be good!

Tire sensor was placed in and works well. The TPMS should automatically update when you swap tires.
@@ShiftingLanes Oh.Okay.I will double check.Did you use the hub centering rings?Even the bolt patteres are fit.

Looks great! Picking wheels for the Veloster seems hard considering the stock offset.
Those new rims look REALLY good, hate the OEM rims...alot❗
I live in jersey as well, what are your plans tire wise when it gets cold here?

Lmk if you ever want to sell those wheels
I'm considering purchasing a veloster N and your videos keep selling me on them

How is the fitment, is it flush?
It’s a good fit. Can be made more flush with a small spacer, but I’m really happy with it.
Hey man I’m in Jersey too. Are you on any veloster n groups here in Jersey? Btw the rims could be complemented with the sponsorship logos.
Which Veloster N NJ group?
@@ShiftingLanes I was hoping you knew. Someone needs to start one ASAP.
There nice ,but black would look better , be honest i like the stock ones, plus on a budget for now ,thx good knowledge
rims are all persenal i like 10 spoke ones more do but black on white would have been nice
I like the factory tires better.. I'm over 50 so I made my car into a Limited. 2016 on my channel
🤯🤯🤯❤️❤️❤️
Why do you guys have no views? You never come up on my RUclips with suggested videos.
Ask RUclips. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Lol
235/40r18 rubber?
He didn't answer because it rubs
