Can you add a second pump without buying a second controller?
I’m starting to think these product spotlights are actually just Thomas’ shopping list for setting up his own tank
Ding ding ding! Lol exactly 😂
I can not confirm, nor deny. 🙃
I love these pumps. I really love the fact that you can disconnect them for easy cleaning !!! However, I really wish we could buy the cages through BRS separately so I can always have a clean set ready to go while the dirty ones are soaking.
I like to give Thomas a digital sedative by turning the playback speed down to 0.75...never change though Thomas, i love your enthusiasm 😎
I take him up to 1.25 ... it's reef espresso!
@@rppvt Now that's hardcore reefing
I subbed because of Thomas ....I just discovered he was on this channel ..now I need to binge watch 4 months of videos ..I wish this channel also covered fresh water ....BRS made a good move getting him onboard ..comedy and knowledge
Nice Job Thomas! Your tank looks awesome! Cannot wait to see the progress!
Nice to see you finally have rock work in your tank.
I have the 45 in a 75 gallon and works really nice
These things are just your wishlist ... c'mon brs let Thomas have them for his great vids
I have the ReefWave in my tank. Works perfectly!
Any updates? Still have them and like them???
@Brian Walsh Hi Brian, yes I still have this reefwave and also another one since I've a much larger tank now. Still very happy with them
Aah, I've done my video about it since a while, the 25, unbox and setup, gotta publish it one of those days... Really impressed so far!
And God damnit your, Thomas, performance is incredible 👏
Thanks!!! Looking forward to seeing your take on it too :)
I cant wait for those shirts to be available!!
Merci pour ta vidéo !!! 👍👍👍
Thomas, (perhaps I missed it, but) you forgot to mention that these are compatible with the IceCap Battery Backup (v2)!
I love mine. I have two on my Reefer250
They crazy quiet, super easy to clean, and the footprint allows me to fit on the back or side glass. I was looking at the MP 40's but I have seen mixed reviews due to the RedSea glass thickness.
Just wish when reviews are done the reviewer would cite the cost, warranty, parts availability.
A lot of that can fluctuate, so I think it's best to put things like that in the description, or just omit it. Because if a person is interested in the product, they can do their due diligence on their own. Imagine citing the price in the video and it goes up later on.
It's not even a review, or maybe I missed that part
Thomas is the best.
Can you buy solo pumps for this like the gyre pump to have one on each end of the tank?
Can you set the minimum speed in random mode, or only the max?
I own 2 45 redsea reefwave , but always faced an issue with wifi connectivity. It always take me to the installing firmware and then gives me a fail message . Thats the only downside I have about the gyr wave maker . Other than that it's a good product
Mine is dead silent, and it's really powerful. But I can't figure out how to turn down the flow (besides using it in reverse) and can it do a wave mode?, all I can get is ramp up and down intensity
For me it’s the quietest pump I’ve ever owned, but man is the wireless bad. It’s nine of sight to the controller and it still drops, even changed AP.
What is the lowest GPH this pump can do?
This good enough for 48x24x16 shallow tank?
Just got a reefer 250 will one reefwave be good enough?
Any help how to stop it just pulling my coral to one side on a reefer 250?
Definitely! Placement/mode/intensity can all be adjusted to better suit your specific tank. Jump on the #AskBRStv facebook group and post a picture, describe the issue, and the community will help! Ill be looking out for it!
I would just like to say that I am in the process of building a 90 gallon reef tank and went to your site because I found these vids very helpful. However nearly everything I was interested in buying is currently out of stock. Is this always the state of the site? Is this covid related? Other reef supplys (wont mention names here) seem to have plenty of stock, but after attempting to purchase an overflow box (and colored dry rock, and lights, list goes on) and disheartingly finding the only med-high volume one on your site being out of stock I gave up.
This is indeed covid related. Each manufacturer is having their own unique issues, so depending on factors like where they get parts from, where the products are produced, and restrictions imposed in their particular states/countries, you may see certain products in stock more than others. Under normal circumstances, we aim for an out of stock rate of less than 5% of all products :)
What tank model do you have running in the background?
That would be a Red Sea Reefer XL 300. Awesome dimensions for a medium sized tank!
www.bulkreefsupply.com/reefer-xl-300-system-65-gal-red-sea.html
Do you recommend two ReefWave 25 or one ReefWave 45 in a Reefer 350 tank?
Since the Reefer 350 is right at the max glass thickness for the ReefWave 25's, I would suggest going with the larger 45's
Will it be too much for a 60 gal cube?
I just got the RW 25 in my red sea e max 260 and it seems 2 b perfect! Still dialing it in but @ 60% forward and 100% reverse its spot on
But Can It Run Crysis?
Nice! Haven't seen this in forever.
Where can I get one of the t-shirt your wearing?
We'll have them on the website in the near future 🙂
Would the reefwave 25 be too powerful for a red sea max nano?
The nice thing about DC pumps like the ReefWave is that you can always turn them down as needed. Even so, it's probably more than you need for the Max Nano. If you're set on running a gyre style pump, check out the IceCap 2K. You can remove half of the gyre to reduce the flow to 1000 GPH, then use the included controller to fine tune the flow from there 🙂
Who doesn’t love a gyre hell who doesn’t NEED A GYRE
No complaints or issues of any kind? Pointing out the positives is great but I wish Thomas would include some criticism. Otherwise nice vid.
I bought one, insanely quiet! Downside the shitty wireless is hopeless! Its 5 meters from my AP line of sight, constantly won’t take commands from the phone, yet my smart plugs have no issues. Had to reset it multiple times. Great pump, bad wireless is my verdict
You're a total weirdo 🤣 and I dig it!!
Got it wrong on this one guys. Kinda feel you needed to push product
Icecaps blow... I have 3! SOOOOO loud. If anyone wants to buy 3 for $300.00 so i can get this reef wave I'm down!
First to like let’s go
Dude.. we all know u dont took the plunge.. this was given to you...
Vegan
This guy is weird 😆
A direct rip off of the Max spec Gyre pump, pronunciation is suspect, and could you yell a little bit louder the horses in the neighbors pastures can not quite hear you.Blah Blah Blah
It's written on the box, licensed by gyre... and yes it's silence, my amateur video is just not published yet, God damnit Thomas, killing it.😅
Yell a little more please. The ringing in my ears isn’t bad enough from years of being an aircraft mechanic. This pump must not be selling well. Seems like he only gets this excited is when pushing a terrible product like the Neptune return pump. It had horrible reviews until he pushed it and all the fan boys ran out and bought it. Funny how none of these products ever have any faults at all. I liked Randy way better. I think you got a more honest review.
I have one ..the 45...love it. I don't even need another pump..it handled my flow well for me
Check out my tank if you'd like.
