No mention of Jebao? Probably the best wavemaker with the widest range of types and bang for the buck. By far. Wifi, No wifi, solo, slave linked modes, variety of controls.
People are hesitant with cheap Chinese stuff
It’s an aversion
I know I am
They don’t mention it because they don’t sell it.
how about octo pulse 4
Gyres can be set to run across tops or bottoms of tanks. But with the aiming of these you can set them vertical. And direct one across the front and send along the back.
The Maxspect Gyres have been long overdue for a battery back up for years! Having one would likely make them the top selling wave maker!
You can connect an icecap battery backup to it
@@artrose3921 brilliant!
wont a battery back up for anything work for flow and or lights?
Why no jebao. And the xstream gotta be one of the least low profile pumps you have on the table lol
still love my Jebao swl10
Ryan actually talked about jebao/jecod. They tried carrying them but the manufacturer pretty much blew them off. That was back well before BRS became as big as it is now.
I recently got a small ecoflow inverter battery thing refurbished for around $120 and it works great as a battery backup. It can run my entire pico reef for about a day and half lights, heating pumps and all. And big plus side it works as portable house outlets too
Great vid but to me you missed three things 1) the Tunze wavebox which combined with a few pumps is a great way to mix the water up around your SPS, 2) the value of a pump mover (motor that swivels the punp back and forth) and 3) the Tunze pumps can be modified by replacing the impeller and front cover eg. putting a 6095 cover on a 6055.
Why do you never feature the Tunze Stream 3 6150???
Octopulse 4 always gets the cold shoulder. But it’s the best pump in the hobby that no one knows. More power than an mp40, can be ran on the wave engine, cheap battery backup, only uses 10w at 80% power. Only 200 bucks for the pump only version. Easy to maintain and clean.
I did a couple vids on the new controller for the Octo Pulse pumps! Really nice option for sure. A bit more basic in terms of control, but solid nonetheless!
@@ThomasBReefany word on the controller and the return pumps?
It seems the obvious next step
I personally like the Octopulse 4’s and 2’s. Been running them for years with zero issues.
I have them too, what I dont like is you cant do pulse from 0% it always has to move.I know you can control them with the wave engine but that is not available here in europe.
Hygaar probably the smallest and power for size the highest. Sicce low profile ???
Started a 50 cube recently Acan dominant, realized I gotta do sps or I’m gonna regret it. This is the type of video I need!
Throw some SPS at the top but man i love acan! I am growing a lord/favia island in my SPS dominated 50 cube.
Battery back up is a must for me too. I'm using a single mp40 on my 50 gallon lagoon. I wish they had something between an mp10 and an mp40, they are either to small or to powerful. for my system. My glass it to thick for the mp10. So had to get the mp40.
Hi is this possible have forth and back wave with just one wave maker for example jebao wave maker
Hello guys.
Did you forget about the Tunze wave box or its just lost its place in the game ?
Dude!!
Hi, which wave maker is the most effective for mixing nutrition?
I'm asking because it's crucial to find the best way to blend fertilizer into water without increasing the pH value.
Isn't the Nero the Fish Blender? Like didn't they find that pump just eats fish right up?
Actually the least known powerhead redundancy option is in the Xstream SDC Sicce - even you did not know of that. 😅
I did a vid on it a couple years ago! Solid option with both power and temp monitoring!
The term is Jet Pump. Used in aircraft fuel systems.
Gyre need 80hr. battery backup please!!
Every powerhead brand should make their own battery backup. Period!
The 6095 is the GOAT...
That battery back up is not lithium ion it will degrade quickly through the years
Thomas always gets a 👍
Used to love watching BrsTv vids, but I’m sick of them pushing all the high end equipment and never mentioning cheaper alternatives, I understand they are a business but not everyone can afford a $480 wave maker…
They do cover cost effective options and how to make them better, what else is there to cover on them?
Don't waste your money on Sicce XStream, magnet not strong enough and the flow is pitiful only good for moving the water in your sump.
110% do not recommend the Mp40 and any Mp tbh, trash and will start making noises in a few months!
So another reef corp takes a $40 18ah battery adds about 10 in parts and sells it for 200. Come on reefers we can do better than this, right?
