I traded my 2021 Yukon Denali for a 2025 AT4 Ultimate. The interior is absolutely better. The google powered infotainment is a game changer, don’t need apple CarPlay anymore. The google based system is faster than CarPlay. Super cruise is a dream. I use the air suspension to make trailer hookups easier on and off. Can put the audio from rear screens throughout the entire car (my kids love that feature)
Nice vehicle. Good review. Very thorought. Around the 5 min mark though, when you showed the ride height being adjusted, enter/exit, Normal, One and Two, I wish you had stated what exactly those ride heights/road clearance levels are. Do you know, at each level? My understanding is that Normal is like 7 3/4"s and as you increase the 2 spots with the adjustable air ride, you get 8 3/4"s then 9 3/4"s, but the vehicle automatically lowers the heights as speed levels increase. I'd love to confirm exactly though. Thanks
I just noticed, on the window sticker at the very end, though it's the Ultimate, I see reference to the Magnetic Ride Control, but not to the Adjustable Air Ride Suspension. Odd, b/c I think it is supposed to have that.
I wonder which vehicle would handle bad wintertime, snowy, ice local roads and highways during a big snowstorm, this 4WD traditional suv or an AWD Audi Q8 sports suv, assuming both had dedicated new snow tires on them, any idea?
@@geoffgraham4764 That's a really interesting answer. You'd think an suv would always do better, but these days suv's more for city than country, and ironically the Audi at 9" road clearance, up to 11" using the adjustable air ride suspension, it has higher minimum road clearance than most stock suv's or pickup's. So ironic.
A couple question: One, is there youtube and especially a web browser accessible/usable on that big center screen in the front? I'd love to be able to park and use those while seated in the front driver's seat. RUclips for a movie maybe, but mostly to watch some stock or crypto youtube analysis vids, and the web browser to do some stock or crypto research and maybe watch streaming stocks and charts and even place a trade or two. Having RUclips and a web browser for the second row is nice, if they are there, but much less useful for me versus in the front. And two, if you close the two covers in the front center console over the charging pad and cupholders, there is a small raised knob in the center, does that break the plane of something laying across the two padded rails on either side or is it a tad lower? I ask b/c if lower, excellent, because then I can move the center console bac and put my open laptop across those rails, beautiful. But if it's higher, than the laptop would wobble and get damaged if I did that. Prior years that was a great feature, though one that no one ever mentioned in these videos, but in this 2025 model those side rails seem lower and that little knob seems higher so it may not longer work, which would be a shame.
@@omarcortes5754 that’s disappointing. And they don’t even have a proper under body protection or anything that AT4 is to be used for. They want more for the luxury and just slapped an AT4 ultimate badge on there to do what it’s just disappointing if you’re gonna come out with a real offloading SUV they should make it a real offloading SUV with all the bells and whistles
I really like this, but the little things. It's too bad the front dash on top and the rails on either side of the center console cup holders are hard plastic and not nice soft leather. And I'd prefer a nice open pore wood that doesn't smudge to the black high gloss finish on the covers that open and close over the cupholders and phone charger space in the front center console. Oh well.
Totally agree - and doesn't require $26 extra every single fill-up. Also - removing these power steps as "standard" on this trim. Being in the NE these things are an OCD guy's worst nightmare all winter long.
@ ironically - had them on my Wagoneer also (Jeep buyback due to it being in shop 75% of the time I owned it) but the steps were unbearable. I’ve heard all of these steps are the same company and “it is what it is” - but I’ll never have them again.
I’m not being a hater but holy shit is so annoying on these GMC‘s rear driveline you’ve got about 4 inches of ground clearance. They have shit hanging down! What kind of four-wheel-drive off-road vehicle has that. none except the GMC‘s and some of the Ford luxury SUVs. RIDICULOUS ANNOYING.
They need to have an Bench Seat option even on these high trim options
EXACTLY!!!
Ew. Absolutely not
@@JoshuaOverman are you ok I mean give me a good reason why not
Absolutely not. get an Elevation if that i what you need or get a Tahoe LT
@@jasonwhite7302 any trim has to offer bench seat what happened to the costumer always right??
I looked at an Escalade today. It’s was very nice and I could definitely see the difference in brand luxury. That said it was $122k.
This is the exact vehicle and specs I want!!! So dang nice!

Both should do just fine... without instrumented testing I doubt you'd notice a difference.

I’ve been going all week with Michelin X-Ice Snow on a spare set of 18s on my 25 AT4Ult. I drive in Auto 4WD mode and handles like a dream.

I have the 24 Denali Ultimate, is nice to have an AT4 Ultimate trim.
It ain’t gonna really do any offroading compared to an AT4X it’s a wasted trim level on this thing. It doesn’t have front or rear diff locks.

$140 grand, no way in hell it costs them more than $50k to make one of these lol
I prefer the 6.2 liter ecotec V-8 and the XL version, respectively.
They’re having a ton of issues with the new 6.2

Does this have the cylinder deactivation ?
If you get the V8's, yup... get the diesel version instead.
@@t3h8ar0nadding def isn’t ideal for a mom car. Just get the 6.2 and tune it delete the cylinder deactivation.
@JoshuaOverman You add def every like 5k miles... not a big deal. Also, the engines are still failing even with the deactivation disabled.
This needs to be offered with the 5.3, it's 10 grand less and a very good engine.

I agree, but we all know these 100k plus giant SUVs aren't likely to see anything more off road than the occasional gravel driveway.
