Thanks so much for this comparison! No one in my life has been able to tell me the differences, but you confirmed what I thought to be true and more! I have an Accuquilt which is perfect for me since I'm a sewist (not a paper/vinyl crafter, etc). I always wondered about the flexibility with the Cricut, but glad to hear your comments about the glitchiness and other aspects. Now I can share my knowledge with others. I love your honesty and how unapologetic you are for owning all the "gadgets." I got mine as a gift for Christmas and I love it. Congratulations, too, you got AccuQuilt's attention, that's kinda cool!
Thanks so much for commenting and watching I use both of my machines but lately I've been doing tons of custom shapes so I've been using the cricut more. I am about to do a pixel quilt next so it will be accuquilt for the win.
I too am a notion girl , but an older older one. I am anxious to get into quilting for my 6 grandchildren for starters. I just purchased an AccuQuilt manual cutter. I am at my daughters and away from home for another several weeks. I have made my purchases while away. My husband and I have had interesting conversations regarding my deliveries at home. I too have a cricut so your info and opinions are great for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🤗
I'm so excited for you to get into quilting. You are going to have a ton of fun with your new purchases. Stay tuned because I'll be sharing so much more.
Thank you for such a great explanation. I’m looking at accuquilt but it’s so expensive. I like how you said they are both great and do different things. Thanks so much!!!❤
Thank you this was very helpful! I wish I had seen it before I purchased a Cricut Air. I don't care what anyone says, it does not cut fabric. You helped me justify the purchase of an Accu Quilt. I believe the Accu Quilt is right for me, because I am most likely to use it in the way you discussed. Thank you again.
I have the Maker and every machine Cricit has come out with. I started quilting recently and saw the Accuquilt. It’s intriguing but goodness is it expensive! I can’t bring myself to do it. The fact that I have to buy a die each and every time I need a new shape throws me off when the Maker can do it all and more without me needing to buy a die each and every time.
I completely understand. I love my cricut and use it more than my accuquilt but my accuquilt is much faster and easier for certain projects. That price tag hurts but I got mine on sales that they have all the time.
I love love love my go big!! My hubby actually suggested it! I too have bad arthritis and standing and cutting out quilts is painful. I got mine the 2nd year I was out. I own many dies. w can cut out a quilt in 15 minutes! You won't be sorry. And btw cutting up scraps into usable shapes is actually fun!
Wanted you to know that my mother (93 and does no crafts) watched a couple of your videos with me She was amazed at how gifted you are. I am too. Bless you!
I am on my second Cricut. The first one crashed and couldn't be saved. Glitchy is the word. The thing acts like a fool! I am excited about the accuquilt. Thank you for this video!!
Loved the video. I have arthritis and it’s getting more difficult for me to cut my fabric. Plan on buying an Accuquilt from a quilt shop this week. Thanks for the wealth of information. 😀
This is great information! I have just purchased the accuquilt and was always concerned about the waste but when I realised how much waste I had from rushing and cutting pieces wrong partly because cutting is definitely not my favourite thing, the waste is very minimal. I easily waste more from incorrect cutting and continually having to re-square my fabric!
Two years later I find this! Thanks for your honesty and normalizing the hoarding tendencies of crafters. I swore the answer to do you need both was going to be “yes” lol this was very helpful!
just purchased the accuquilt go and your video really helped me understand the difference in the machines--cricuts are good for specific shapes/letters for accents on quilts but for cutting repeated basic shapes, accuquilt seems to be the go to machine---enjoyed your video!
Thank you for your honest opinions. I especially liked what you said about don't buy the Accuquilt unless you're going to use it! I do quilt but want to get into doing tshirts, glassware etc.. so thinking the cricut 3 is the best option for me at this time. Who knows? I may be like you and collect machines! :)
Lol based on what you just said the cricut sounds perfect for you. I have some quilty cricut projects coming soon hope you come back and hang with me again.

Also use it for applque shapes, backing first with Bondaweb, again using own fabrics. I would say it is quite hard to turn the handle though, especially being left handed (handle rotates wrong way!). I manage, but if you had arthritis, for instance, would find it hard to use. Thanks, by the way, for being honest in describing yourself as a beginner. I am fed up with people who have sewn a few years, writing quilting books, and talking as if they are expects, when some of us have gained experience over a lifetime, have qualifications and have taught textiles, but still don't describe ourselves as expert!

Wow!!! Loved this video and your comparison. I learned alot and appreciate your comments. I have a Cricut Explorer and I've just started using it to cut fabric. I enjoy cutting HTV and apply them to shirts. So far so good with the fabric. Also, just learning about heat and bond. I'm working on a circle quilt and need a lot of cuts - and I got a specific template to use. I've got about 100 done and need about 300 more. I had to stop and cut about 15 minutes a day as it's hard on my hands. The curve is difficult to cut and I seem to have to go through it a few times. I see that Accuquilt has a die for these - and yes, it's expensive. I googled a comparison and up you came. I'm also looking at the Scan and Cut. You brought up the fact that you need to change out on the mat several times to get your cuts - this would be the same on the Cricut and SNC. The SNC has the ability to cut your own creations too, but since I've got the Cricut, I'm going to continue to use it. I'm going to look at your videos to learn more. I can create a design and scan it into my BabyLock Destiny II then bring it into Embrilliance and create an embroidery design and Stitch Artist to create an applique. So, maybe the Accuquilt is the best for me because I can cut through several pieces of fabric accurately. I think I'll get the cube and see how large of a die I can get. So I'm thinking that if I wanted to cut 30 hearts - and like you said I can cut my scrappy pieces, I think that I would choose to go to the Accuquilt. Thanks so much for this video and allowing me to organize my thoughts on how to do this. Also - I have an awesome African print jelly roll. Can't wait to find your quilt.
Thank you so much for this video! This is exactly what I was looking for. I love to craft and create art with all different kinds of media. I love sewing and have desperately wanted to create a quilt for an embarrassingly long time. The whole process feels intimidating. I have spent years (yikes, I know) collecting supplies that I feel like would make it easier on me. My least favorite thing to do when sewing is cutting out material. I always want to jump right into sewing. Also, I do NOT have a steady hand when it comes to cutting straight lines regardless of what tool I'm cutting with. I've always liked the idea of the Accuquilt and have kept it on my wishlist for awhile. However, since I'm sort of an all around crafter and have the same history with Cricut as you, I'm still leaning toward the Maker. I want something that is versatile and more easily customizable (done in design space rather than purchasing custom dies). Thanks again for helping my fickle self make a decision! I love your raw honesty so I've subscribed and am now looking forward to diving into your other videos!
I am so happy that you found this video. Thank you times 10 mission for subscribing. I love the maker for you especially since you are an all-around crafter. I think you will learn to cut fabric straight when you have the right rulers and rotary cutter for you. I have tons more to share so pop back in when you can.
I have an AccuQuilt Go Big and love it! The AccuQuilt Cubes are wonderful! As a quilter who has gotten into bag making, I think I would really love something to help cut out templates for bag pieces…. Not sure what to get. Those Cricut glitches sound very frustrating. I love your vibe about fabrics!❤️ Thank you for the tip about custom dies!! Yes!!!
I'm so glad you left this comment I'm looking forward to try some of Sara's bag patterns on my cricut. The glitches are frustrating but they are no frequent on the newest machines. I really do love my cricut.
@@MACoutureCrafting, I’m so eager to know how your your efforts with Sara’s patterns go on your Cricut!! Sara’s patterns are great! I love that you’re so familiar with all of these machines! I have virtually no experience with Cricut and feel a bit intimidated, lol! Thanks for such outstanding videos!!
Hi! Great comparison. ❤️ I’m totally an Accuquilt girl because I don’t appliqué. The only thing I would add is that there are ways to spend less money. The electric cutter is the most expensive, but you can get a regular Go cutter for as little as $150 if you buy used. And I got all of my Studio dies at 50% or more off (60% on Black Friday.) And there are fb pages where you can buy previously owned Accuquilt products for a lot less. I run one.
you are such a hoot. I went with the accuquilt. I run a prayer quilt ministry, and we cut a lot of quilts, and we have gobs of scrap fabric to make use of. I am not much of an applique person, but I do see where the cricuit could be fun as well. but I needed a workhorse for shapes and making up kits
I love this review. I have both of these machines. I purchased the Go Big die to my rheumatoid arthritis. I love the idea of appliqué using the cricket. Frankly without the heat and bond cricket does not work with fabric. I purchased the cricket first for fabric cutting and was so disappointed. Cricket and heat and bond work great! 🎉
Good Evening, just came across your RUclips. I also own a Cricket, AccuQuilt, Baby, Me, Go and Go Big. 3 years ago I started watching Becky Thompson from 'Power with Thread' and Courtney from Albrands. I purchased my Scan-N-Cut at the Houston Quilt Festival. I purchased it because I'm planning to get into embroidery. The Brother Scan-N-Cut will talk to your Embroidery machine and cut fabric for your applique. I sold my Cricket. In a couple of years I'm going to upgrade my sewing machine from a Jaz II to a Brother Embroidery machine so everything can work together. Take a look you won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much for the informative video. I just inherited the AccuQuilt from my mom & dad, and wasn't son sure I wanted to keep it. Now I do! I'm also getting the Cricut Maker 3 for the versatility. Now I'm thinking I might be glad I have both.
I just came across your channel last night and had to subscribe immediately. I'm now working my way through your videos. They're super helpful and I can so easily identify with what you say!!! I am also a crafter who loves to have allll the things. Love your energy too :D
I sew bags. Sling Bags, Tote Bags, etc. I design my own patterns. I need a machine that can use my design and cut out fabric based on my designs. I have several differently-shaped pattern pieces for each different bag. I'd like to be able to somehow get my designs - my shapes - into the machine and then have it cut them out for me. Can either one of these machines do that?
@debihumphrey3734 yes, both actually. There is a company that can make dies for the accuquilt machine for you. Sizzix is another cheaper option too. With the cricut you would have to have your design digitized to svg then you can use it too. If it were me I'd try accuquilt or Sizzix for ease of use.
daggg! I NEED A MAKER! I NEED AN UPGRADE! LOL! now i have a Cricut Air 2 (got her in 2020) and i have been using her ever since but now that i got back into sewing i would love to get a maker so i can cut fabric eventhough Air 2 does cut fabric but Maker cuts a lot more different materials (i forgot about leather!) so that will be my next big purchase!
Thank you for this video trying to find a easier way to cut my quit fabric my hands are starting to cramp up alot and can't use scissors/ Rotary cutter
Lots of good info here I'm trying to start quilting and need to get my whole life in order first so I'm gonna subscribe ...Thank you for your honest opinions
I gonna give my two cents because I have been quilting for a long time....circut is good you can upload images you can design in design space their are not other pieces to buy to make it do what you want. The accuquilt is a good concept but you gotta pay extra for each thing you need to cut. With that being said brother scan and cut will also cut fabric and has an on screen display you can move pieces around on and is WAY more accurate that the circut.
If you're interested in another ideal machine that does everything, a Brother Scan and Cut would be a good candidate. I love Cricut, however, the Brother has the capability to work with Brother sewing and embroidery machines to create quilt patterns.
I have one and my dream machine is still the Brother Disney machine but I love the rotary blade and the fact that I can cut fabric without it being bonded.
Stacy, I would love to have a much more efficient method of cutting! On the Scan n Cut, can you enter a size and have it cut a number of layers of fabric?! Thank you for answering my questions!
Thanks for the demostration. I too am a gadget person and have both machines. I also have the Joy and the Accuquilt Go!. I use both for different things.
Thank you. Loved the video. I'd like to find a comparison of the different Accuquilt machines. I get the impression that some dies don't work on some machines. Besides being bigger and with I don't understand. I'm trying to find one used.
I have three machines. There is the automatic one that is nice and can take the largest dies that are not studio dies. The studio machine is a heavy-duty machine and those dies are very different. If you have any specific questions for me I can try to break it down.
Thank you so much for your information! I love that you state that they are both great machines! And that you need to figure out what you want to focus on and choose the right machine for you! Kind of like trying to play baseball with a football!! Just bought my first Accu Quilt Go Me off Marketplace, brand new for about half the cost of new (apparently she didn't watch your video first!😊).
I have heard that about cricut but I have had mine for several years and I have never had any issues. I had a Silhouette before and I found Cricut so much easier to learn. I have used my Cricut for cutting fabric and it never fails me. I do feel however that Cricut design space is not nearly as good as other options out there. I am so with you on the letters and anything to appliqué.
That is my Disney Bound quilt. Each of the blocks represents a new character and it's my prized possession. I love it more than any other thing I've ever made.
Very informative, however, have you ever tried the brother scan n cut? I'm right there with you sis, I gotta have all the technology and gadgets. Brother has a free app to use, too; and as you probably already know, every design begins as a geometric shape. There are a lot, I mean numerous videos out on you tube to help. You may want to check it out if you've not already purchased a new maker. I'm not a rep for either of these companies but rather tried to learn as I went. Technology has grown so much over the past 5 years. Good luck. Thank you for your knowledge I greatly appreciate your help.
I really need to learn my scan n cut. I can think of tons of projects to use it with. So much information out there I hope to learn as much as possible
I love my Accuquilt. My daughter has the circuits so I can use hers. Money saved. Love your channel. Just found your channel a few days ago. You have a new subscriber.
Have you tried the 2 1/2 strip die for binding? That is the main feature I am looking at the Accuquilt for. I struggle with that part the most as a new quilter so was looking at the Accuiquilt for that reason. I totally have tried to see if my Cricut could do that! lol
@@MACoutureCrafting thank you! I appreciate your insight and agree with a lot of the comments that this video was very helpful and felt like a realistic review.
Thank you I’ve really struggled trying to figure out what’s the better cutting machine for me. I love the dragon pattern could you tell me where you found it or is that your own pattern?
Please start saving those scraps that are left over and donate them to Quilting Club places like Goodwill or thrift stores because other people will take them in my quilts and possibly send them overseas to force in the scraps overseas other people to make quilts with. Thank you for demonstrating these I am probably not gonna get one because I would never get my moneys worth out of it before I die but hey, you know what you’ve done a fantastic comparison and I can’t wait to share this with my rest of my Quilting Friend. 💐
I have been looking at the Accuquilt system and boy it's expensive. I hadn't realised the Cricut could cut fabric! I spend a lot of time cutting 2 1/2" binding. Which machine do you use for cutting binding? I really like the look of the rotary cutter and am not confident about the folding. I also cut 4" strips for making bag straps so that would be another die on the accuquilt?
All cutting methods create waste, particularly triangles and appliqué shapes. Some people actually enjoy recutting the excess to create intentionally scrappy quilts. Or, give your scraps to a scrappy quilter. Or, use your “waste” fabric as stuffing for dog beds or cat beds for the ASPCA or similar organization. In short, waste fabric can be managed.
Thanks for the vedio. It's very informative and educational. I want to buy these cutter's. But, being disabled on a fixed income. I can't afford one. I make quilts to supplement my income. And enjoy crafting and creating custom quilt design's. That's the only down fall I heard about these cutter's. Is of how much waste of material they cause. I like to be able to use all material I buy. So I don't have much waste.
The Accuquilt machines can cut more than fabric. They can cut paper, light cardboard, felt, wool, etc. I have thought about getting a Cricut over many years but I’m just not a paper crafting person. If there is an alphabet I really, really want for a quilt, I have no problem with cutting the letters, tracing them onto fabrics backed with a fusible. I!m a bit older but I can still use scissors with no problem. Oh, I have the 3 different Accuquilt machines, too - they are fabulous.
I love my accuquilt machines too. You are absolutely right I don't know that I'd buy a cricut if I didn't mind cutting by hand. There are definitely ways to get things done without fancy machines but I really get a lot of use out of them.
Thanks for hanging with me. There are a few stores that have the accuquilt for sample. I'm doing an upcoming video on the accuquilt soon so stay tuned.
@@MACoutureCrafting Hi, I am not from Accuquilt, but I own a couple of Go’s machines. I saw Lois’s comment regarding converting regular quilt patterns to Accquilt dies. Accuquilt has a conversion guides (25 pages) that you can download. Basically you need to know the finished size listed on your regular pattern and look for the finished size from Accuquilt. I hope this helps you use your Accuquilt more! Pam
Thanks for the great video! The smallest Accuquilt (the GoMe) is on sale and I’m thinking of purchasing it. Do you know if dies from other manufacturers will work on AccuQuilt machines? The Cricut is next in my list! 😀
I completely understand the Accuquilt is very expensive. There are pre owned options for the Accuquilt and pre-owned dies too on some of the Facebook groups.
I love AccuQuilt, I have the Big and the Go. And, tons of their dies. I also have the Cricut Maker. I use the Go Big literally almost daily. The Maker, maybe once every two months. How do you find quilt shapes to cut out from the Maker? So, if I wanted to make the same block from each machine, how would I do it? Thank you!
For blocks I would use the accuquilt for applique I really love the maker. I use it for specialty items. Now that I have the new maker we are good. I'll be cutting a shape with the maker very soon.
I LOVE the quilt in the background of this video! Is that your design - if so I'd love to purchase the pattern. If not would you be willing to share the pattern name with me? I appreciated the comparison of fabric cutters, as I am interested in purchasing one and this video was very helpful. Thank you.
Terri Thanks so much for leaving a comment I am glad my video helped you. The quilt in the back is one of my all time favorites. Each block is in the colors of a different Disney Character. I call in the Disney bound quilt. The pattern is by GnomeAngel its her 100 blocks in 100 days challenge. Kinship sampler.
Very true about how different the two are! Thank you for being so honest! I own both the GO! and the GO BABY!, and they pump out my basic shapes and strips. My quilt label is made on the "Cute Car" die, since both my wife & I own classic VW Bugs. I've been wondering about the Cricut vs the Disney Scan N Cut by Brother . . . have you had the opportunity to try it? Was wondering since my sewing machine is also a "Brother". I have a tendency towards brand loyalty . . .
I love the bug quilt labels that sounds adorable. Although I have the Scan and Cut I still have never used it but I have seen people do tons of applique on the Scan and Cut. Also the ability to scan in fabrics and designs and the fact that you already have a brother machine makes me want to tell you to go with the scan n cut. I absolutely love my cricut but if I were just starting out I think I'd go Brother or Cameo. Hope this helps and thanks for leaving a comment.
Yes, the electric machine is expensive, but Accuquilt has great sales all the time!!! Watch the videos every week or just go to the website and you will find the sale prices - be patient and you will save lots of $$$$. And those scraps can be used - watch the videos!!!!!
Does Crichton Maker 3 have a drunkards path block? Could I size it for different finished block sizes? Both paper and fabric crafts but the trick with cutting fabric is curves including circles…
You can absolutely find a Drunkards path block that you can resize for the cricut but for a block like that, I prefer the Accuquilt because you would need so many.
Since you don't, mind the fabric that gets wasted, I'll be happy to buy your scraps! I'm serious. Let me know if you want to send your scraps to someone who doesn't have much of a stash. Name your price. 💕
You like scraps so much you want to buy them? You wouldn't rather buy yardage? I don't sell my scraps I just choose random people to send them too. Send me an email and I'll put you on the list
You can get Accuquilt Dies on sale / you just got to keep a look out for the sales like black Friday they all so have sale because they discontinue sales which mean they not making that die any more sale i just got three / The Flamingo --Coffee & Tea Meolley & Starry Path all for $ 156.00 and paying mouthly on this you all so can sine up to pay mouthly on your dies

Thanks so much for this video and allowing me to organize my thoughts on how to do this. Also - I have an awesome African print jelly roll. Can't wait to find your quilt.
I'm so happy that you found this video helpful. I'm loving both my machines. I'll be posting a quilt I did with the accuquilt later today hopefully
I love your vibe about fabrics!❤️
Thank you for the tip about custom dies!!
@@Sheryl0705 thank you. Yes a cricut can be intimidating but you just have to go through it.
I love my GO Big and I just go the GO Me to take on retreats
Just stumbled on your video when looking at the AccuQuilt machines and I absolutely love your energy. Gonna look for more of you!
Thank you so much for hanging with me. Stay tuned I have some accuquilt videos coming soon.
Hi! Great comparison. ❤️
I’m totally an Accuquilt girl because I don’t appliqué.
The only thing I would add is that there are ways to spend less money.
The electric cutter is the most expensive, but you can get a regular Go cutter for as little as $150 if you buy used.
And I got all of my Studio dies at 50% or more off (60% on Black Friday.)
And there are fb pages where you can buy previously owned Accuquilt products for a lot less. I run one.
Thanks for the info.
I got my cricut because of you and your earlier videos. I love them.
I'm so happy you love them
you are such a hoot. I went with the accuquilt. I run a prayer quilt ministry, and we cut a lot of quilts, and we have gobs of scrap fabric to make use of. I am not much of an applique person, but I do see where the cricuit could be fun as well. but I needed a workhorse for shapes and making up kits
I think you made the best choice
I love this review. I have both of these machines. I purchased the Go Big die to my rheumatoid arthritis. I love the idea of appliqué using the cricket. Frankly without the heat and bond cricket does not work with fabric. I purchased the cricket first for fabric cutting and was so disappointed. Cricket and heat and bond work great! 🎉
If you get the cricut maker you can cut without heat & bond. It has a lovely rotary blade. I'm so glad you enjoyed the review
Great personality.
@@demimorest963 thank you
I have the AccuQuilt go! I love it but I just need more time to make quilts!!
You and me both
Thank you for a great comparison.
@@Brendaj-sq7ng I'm happy to do it for you.
I love Power Tools With Thread. I have an embroidery machine and I'm going to be doing videos with it real soon.
Great comparison. I'm purchasing the Go! Big today. Thank you for your tutorial! 😊
You are very welcome
I love your video! Thanks for the candid review - I am trying to make up my mind around whether or not to buy the Accuquilt - your review was perfect!
I love my accuquilt but it's a very different machine than that Cricut.
Thank you so much for the informative video. I just inherited the AccuQuilt from my mom & dad, and wasn't son sure I wanted to keep it. Now I do! I'm also getting the Cricut Maker 3 for the versatility. Now I'm thinking I might be glad I have both.
I think you're going to love having both.
Great video. You confirmed what I thought. I am lucky enough to have both.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. You are lucky indeed. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I just came across your channel last night and had to subscribe immediately. I'm now working my way through your videos. They're super helpful and I can so easily identify with what you say!!! I am also a crafter who loves to have allll the things. Love your energy too :D
Thank you so much for hanging with me comments like this keep me going. Stay tuned because I have so much more coming
I enjoyed watching your video, great job comparing both machines. I, too collect many sewing gadgets. Your background quilt is beautiful.
Thank you
The maker is the one I suggest. You will not be disappointed
Excellent discussion on this topic. Learned so much. Thanks
I'm happy to do it.
Thanks M A you did a great job of describing the differences.
My pleasure! I'm glad you like it.
Thank you for this video trying to find a easier way to cut my quit fabric my hands are starting to cramp up alot and can't use scissors/ Rotary cutter
Glad it was helpful! If this is too much of an investment the Martelli Rotary Cutters get lots of love for being easier to use.
Lots of good info here I'm trying to start quilting and need to get my whole life in order first so I'm gonna subscribe ...Thank you for your honest opinions
Thanks so much for subscribing. Jump in to quilting it can help you get it together it's cool like that.
Wanted to see the cricut cut the fabric. I'll be using it for quilting and tshirt iron ons. Accucut is nice but we don't like waste
@@tessajkirkland I might have shown the cricut cutting on my dragon dreams quilt.
Great video. Very fair and clear comparisons. Very pleasant lady!
Thank you so much for watching.
I need to start playing with my scan n cut
You are SO helpful and practical. Thank you!
You got it! I'm so glad to be able to share.
I have a scan n cut and a Silhouette cameo as well.
Stacy, do you use your Scan n Cut to cut fabric? Could it be used to scan and make templates?
Thank you in advance for your input!
@@Sheryl0705 yes, it scans, cuts fabrics and templates can be made as well.
Stacy, I would love to have a much more efficient method of cutting! On the Scan n Cut, can you enter a size and have it cut a number of layers of fabric?! Thank you for answering my questions!
Mac, thanks for all the helpful info. I was happy I waited to the end of the pps's. Super helpful. Teri
I'm glad you enjoyed this
Thanks for the demostration. I too am a gadget person and have both machines. I also have the Joy and the Accuquilt Go!. I use both for different things.
Oh my goodness you totally get me.
Buy both. I love both of mine.
My kinda Lady.🤩
This was a spot on comparison! Thanks, very helpful and I like your energy. 😂I see you love getting your nails done too 😂👍🏾.
I am definitely a nail girley. I'm glad you enjoyed this video.
Lol I love that you got a machine o think you are going to enjoy it.
Would you be able to do a video comparing the scan n cut with the circut?
Unfortunately I still haven't used my scan n cut
Oh I forgot to mention I love the quilt behind you
That quilt might be my favorite Quilt of all time. It's 100 blocks that represent Disney characters.
I replaced it and now I'm good to go. I trust my machine now and it has not failed me yet
Great comparison! Thank you!
I'm glad you liked it
Beautiful quilt behind you.
That is my Disney Bound quilt. Each of the blocks represents a new character and it's my prized possession. I love it more than any other thing I've ever made.
Excellent video!! Thank you for sharing your expertise....exactly the kind of info I was looking for.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting
Thank you for the info. I learned alot,
Glad you liked it
Very informative, however, have you ever tried the brother scan n cut?
Welcome!! I'm so glad you found me. Stay tuned I have lots more to share
Have you tried the 2 1/2 strip die for binding? That is the main feature I am looking at the Accuquilt for. I struggle with that part the most as a new quilter so was looking at the Accuiquilt for that reason.
I totally have tried to see if my Cricut could do that! lol
I have used the strip die it works. I struggle with how to make it bias but it definitely will cut it for you.
Glad it was helpful! The Dragon Dreams quilt is by Apples and Beavers and I love it so much I want to make another.
This is so interesting! Thank you for posting this, are you still using both cutters?
Yes. I am
Great video and just what I was looking for. Thanks for your sincere and honest opinions.
I'm glad you were looking for this video.
Thanks for watching. I've started donating all my scraps and people seem to love them and make quilts with them.
For binding strips & 4 inch strips I'd use the Accuquilt. I Use the cricut for custom shapes and names.
The quilt in your background is stunning!
OOOOh, That might be the most special quilt I've ever made. I call it my Disney Bound Quilt it's based on 100 Disney Characters. Thanks for noticing.
I do just that. People love playing in my scraps and I love giving them to them.
You are very right about waste but the cricut has the ability to move pieces on the computet which really can help with the waste.
Oh I’m a gadget girl, too ! If they make it, I’ll want to buy it!
I am your people we are the same.
Thank you for your excellence. Now, if you just lived next door to me so I could come try these things out.....
Thanks for hanging with me. There are a few stores that have the accuquilt for sample. I'm doing an upcoming video on the accuquilt soon so stay tuned.
Sadly my Accuquilt is getting dusty. The only downside is that it is hard to convert regular quilt patterns to fit the dies.
I know what you mean. I have some interesting things upcoming for mine so stay tuned.
Pam
@@pamtaylor-harris1010 thanks for sharing I'm going to check into it.
Thanks for the great video! The smallest Accuquilt (the GoMe) is on sale and I’m thinking of purchasing it. Do you know if dies from other manufacturers will work on AccuQuilt machines? The Cricut is next in my list! 😀

Thank you for this informative videos. You gave me a lot to think about. I just wish I had a bigger quilt budget and get the AccuQuilt.
I completely understand the Accuquilt is very expensive. There are pre owned options for the Accuquilt and pre-owned dies too on some of the Facebook groups.
The Maker 3 is also a little glitchy with fabric.
I've had pretty trustworthy results with my fabrics. But the software definitely glitches on me.
@@MACoutureCrafting Love your videos!
Are you sure that the cricut maker 3 has no glitches?
My new one didn't. But I've had one that did do some strange stuff but I was able to work through them.
Thank you for the nice comparison. Great you know you are born to be a quilter. :)

Excellent review.
Thank you kindly!
This was super helpful! Thank you for honest opinions. :)
I'm glad thank you for watching.
