My former foster daughter is married now with her own family. Her daughter just turned 15. Seeing how well she's doing gives me joy. She's living proof that I did something right.
That’s sweet. As our children flew the coop & left from a visit or we ended a phone call I began to say, “I love you. Good night.” It feels far less final.
This is hard to watch because my oldest will be 14 and I'm not ready for these goodbye moments. I'm proud of her accomplishments because she has learning delays and autism and adha but she has came a long way and when she's ready to go on her own I'm going to cry but I'm going to know that she will be fine then I'll have to do it all over again with her baby sister! You are an amazing parent and I appreciate you sharing your life with everyone

I cried when my son told me he was moving out. I felt bad, for making him feel bad. The whole point is to raise them so that they can go out on their own. I loved moving into my first apartment and I just have to remind myself that I want him to have that experience as well.
My both sons moved once they reached 18, it was the worst times of my life, I had to move both times to new apartments,couldn't stand living in the old apartments that I had all the memories of them. When the second moved I even moved to a new city,to really start a new life,new memories.
@@mrsTraveller64 wow I can't imagine how sad and painful that must have been. Im an aunt and I randomly get sad at the things my nieces and nephews use to play with because they are growing up. I still live with my mum at 26. In my culture we don't move out unless we are getting married. and even then we stay close by to our parents. I hope you're get time for eachother 💚

Also,in my country many never marry,they move in with girlfriend/boyfriend and don't bother to get married,maybe when they get older they finally marry, to be able to live together in the same retirement-home!
