I'm a single guy. Adopted a 13 year old. Such hard work but an amazing experience. Love my son. He's 30 now. Married. Love my beautiful boy. Kevin. South Africa
This story made my mind up. I am currently a caregiver for my parents. When they pass I will inherit their 3 bdr house. I planned on selling it but now I plan to keep it and help teens by foster or adopting. I am 55 and have no children of my own. This made me realize I can achieve my dreams as well because being a mom is a gift. Thank You for sharing your family’s story and I hope to one day make it my own!
How precious you shared your desire to reach out! Thank you for your desire to share your home and love! It is my desire to reach out to the lost and broken, and share the love that was given to me in such amazing abundance! We get the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child!
I'm so excited for you. What a wonderful decision. You will be blessed as you bless others! Good luck with your journey. May you find strength and peace with your parents. You are amazing.
I was adopted as a teenager by a family who had three other children adopted as babies. Somehow it worked and I don't remember my life before my mom and dad... And I don't want to. Thank God for people willing to take a chance.
OK. I'm an older man but was UGLY CRYING when the judge was saying his speech for the adoption and Darien's reaction. 😭 I'm an adoptive dad of a 22-year-old young man that came to live with me when he was 13. LOVE THIS STORY!!
I adopted a sibling group, sister and brother, in the 80s. I was and am a single parent, one of the first singles in my state allowed to adopt. The brother had and still has behavioral problems and is mentally disabled. Sister had emotional problems but has grown up, has acquired a social worker type degree, and is raising her two kids to be good citizens. We had good, bad, and great times. I don't regret any of it and encourage others to try adoption. There are a lot of kids out there who need families. My kids are now in their 40s, and I have grandkids. Someday, I hope to have great grandkids. Thank you, God.
I cried the whole way through. I love how this doc was so Darrian centered. It was so moving without telling strangers all about his trauma and potentially crossing his boundaries.
This clip should be shown in every church across America. If people in the church are going to shout pro-life than they need to be ready to take care of those kids that are coming into the world 🙏❤️
You're so right. I was a late stage foster at 11 years old and someone took a chance on me. Everyone said no, she was placed "last to call" since she finally was able to conceive a child which was deemed impossible. She saved my life. She gave me the best chance at life. I love and appreciate her so much for it. You have no idea how much it means to kids (Im 35 now) like Darrian or myself that had that one person that didn't let you down and honestly loves you and cares for your well being. Takes the good with the bad and is willing to ride that storm out. I recently found out 90% plus of fosters are abused. Either by the foster parents or the children placed in the home as well. This shouldn't be okay!!
Most of us are, but it's extremely hard to foster or adopt a child in this system. Even if It wasn't you think it's ok to murder an innocent defenless baby because they may not have a home to go to? Really? Should put kids in the system on a list like we do animal's and put them down when we run out of space? I don't think so not on my watch. The reason why I started workinh in the system is because of my faith and I believe that sets me apart from many of my coworkers. Every Man,Women, and Child I interact with I love because God loves them. If you want to pick a fit that's wort fighting and actually help people get a child in child welfare, become a teacher, or case worker, of foster parent, advocate in your state and federal capital for better laws and better traing.
I can't believe that a young man without parents is being held in a young jail. They need to be a shame of their state. On another note this video brought tears to my eyes!
How do two families *almost* adopt a child? It's so heartbreaking to think of a child alone. Unneeded, unwanted. It's amazing that he still has the ability to love and trust.
"I promise to relentlessly pursue your heart, even when you try to hide it" that's really mom words right there, goodness I'm so glad this teen found his parents and they found him.
i am devastated to learn that children in foster care are put in jail with criminals because they have no home and now where to go- this is criminal and should not be happening in the united states of america
It's absolutely disgusting.. the system could of destroyed this young man's entire life by locking him up in an environment with criminals and by treating him like a criminal.. this bit of information should be made more public, to stop this treatment of vulnerable children..
Happens more than you think....top that off with the foster care system tosses kids away when they turn 18....they basically just kick them out the door with nothing, no guidance, nobody to turn to, no place to go, etc. Yet the US is supposed to be a 1st world country...yet has 3rd world problems where it never should have. Take the government's hands out of the CPS, Foster/adoption system, and put people in charge who can actually fix the problems and that care about kids and not in it for money. The system has been broken for decades and has only gotten worse.
I’m in my mid 30s and don’t have kids. In my heart, I always knew adoption was an option for me, and after seeing this - I would be so grateful and proud at the opportunity to adopt a teenager. Thank you all for sharing your story. ❤
This video showed me that you don't have to be prepared to love a teen, just need to commit. Sometimes, I worry, being barely 30, can I do this? And this couple gives me hope; he gives me hope in adopting a teen is possible.
The algorithm really got me good today. Darien and his family took me on the best kind of emotional roller coaster. I was crying at both ends of the spectrum the entire time; grief, joy, sadness, gratitude, etc. It's absolutely heartbreaking that children have to experience such deep-seated trauma so early in their lives - feeling adult-size feelings in their child-size bodies. But I'm glad Darien could let go of some of his pain during his adoption hearing. I'm so happy this family found each other.
We are raising a young man (age 14) who has been through too much disappointment in his life. Thankfully he's here since age 7 and will be here forever. It's taken a lot of challenges in our lives but gaining his trust and love has been more than worth it. The quote "we wanted to adopt all of him" is the way it needs to be. He's come so far and we couldn't be prouder! I'm happy for Darien and our Aiden.
My heart was so full seeing all the laughter and joy, but it was when she thoughtfully asked Darrien for permission to tell their story is when I broke down. I am SO happy Darrien is with his family.
This kid is a gem and he has found his forever! I laughed and I cried. I freaking love these strangers. What a testament. Beautiful loving family and wonderful happy ending.
Darien's story just inspired me to consider increasing the age for child placement in my home. I am a newly certified foster parent and looking forward to loving on "my kids" when they get here. I can't wait to be a mom - such a blessing to be a part of making someone's life better! Everyone deserves genuine love.
God bless this beautiful family that is the reason their is a God and if we trust him he will not leave us nor forsake us and when we really really, trust him he will give us his best Young Man I am expecting great things from you The Almighty God is an untime God yest he is an he is the one that handpick the best parents for you God bless you all.🙏😇☮️❤️🇹🇹🇱🇷
His energy and his music would seem disruptive to an older couple. But these parents are right there with him in all those activities. They love it and they love everything about having him in their lives. He took a chance on them and they were all in from the beginning. I'm so glad he opened his heart one last time.
I am single empty nester mom . Am in my 40 s am fit and have lots of love I want to give to someone. Thought about fostering but I wasn't sure if I have enough to give Watching this made my decision clear Daren you are such amazing young man . God thank you for bringing this family together.
As a foster kid that wasn't adopted until 3 days before my 18th birthday...this made me cry more than I was ready for. Everyone's circumstances are different but statistics don't lie...the foster care system needs a massive revamp and more resources for young adults. California has a really good program for kids aging out of the system but falls short in certain areas. I am not sure how it is for other states 100% but the problem is pretty universal. I am so happy he has a safe space to call home now.
As an adult now who aged out of PGO guardianship from CPS I commend this young man it is so hard to not be hard and angry after so much rejection even when it's not about you or your fault. I pray he grows to help other youth in care or something else Big. Dream Big with God young man. You are so blessed and so is your new family ♥️🙏
I cried the whole time too! He deserves this & so, so much more! What an amazing young man! And honestly? I think he’d of made it regardless just bc of what an amazing young man he is but they’ve definitely made it so, so much easier for him to achieve his dreams! I see him adopting teens himself, or being in the “Big Brother, Big Sister” program. Wherever it is he ends up I see nothing but great things from him.
I adopted four children. The same thing got us through the hard times…my commitment to be a forever family. Giving up was never an option. I felt it and I my goal in life was to make sure they felt it too. Adoption is forever. The loves grows out if the knowledge that you have a family that will be there no matter what.
As a former adoption worker, this touched my SOUL. Parents, you are amazing! Many of us who work in the field know that the superheroes don't always wear the capes. We know that heroes are often people who are able to LOVE others through whatever it is they are facing. Darien, your story gives me hope and courage to NEVER stop believing.
I love this! More people need to see it because they're afraid of taking in older kids. I aged out of foster care. I went from placement to placement. Children's homes and juvenile detention because they couldn't find a placement. I finally quit school in my senior year and got my GED so that I could get a full time job and my own apartment when I was 16 through the independent living program. They gave me the foster care check that a family would get for me to me every month until I turned 18 to help support myself. But once i turned 18 i was truly on my own. It was hard. I think about all the older kids still there who need families and I wish I could take one or two but I had a brain tumor and am no longer eligible to be a foster parent.
The fact that foster children are going to juvenile detention centres is disgusting.. how is this acceptable for vulnerable children in America, to be treated like criminals.. it would be traumatising enough to feel abandoned, then unwanted, but then the last thing that should at the end protect you puts you in jail like you did something wrong.. this needs to be made more public.. how is this allowed in America..
That’s because people are obsessed with babies and birth. They definitely don’t want to adopt an older black child. They don’t see black people as people but objects. It’s sad.
I LOVE THIS! 😭❤ I’m so privileged to have met Darien today at the CAFO CONFERENCE ...what an amazing video story of a beautiful adoption! What an inspiring young man who radiates Jesus. Steward your story well Darien, which is ultimately God’s story of redemption and our adoption into sonship with Him. ✝️ To God be all the Glory!
The sad part is, it is only 2% that is willing to take in a teenage foster child, god, this is terrible! I don’t understand this because the same as the little ones, they can be sent back if things don’t work out. Even if they only keep you in their home until you are eighteen, you are being shown how to act and behave as an adult. You may be asked to stay until you have the skills to move, and told you will always be a part of that family and better keep coming around. You will always be cared about by the families you have been raised by and expect you to continue on to be part of their family. The system sucks and unfortunately the children suffer for it, but, there is some great families!
OMG The part where they said they'd love him through ANYTHING, even the dark nights made me staring crying so hard.... I was in foster care for 6 years, even re-committing for independent living. I'm 40 years old now but If I had just one foster parent say something like this to me... my experience would have been way different. There WERE some special staff members who I'm still in contact with today but I'm just so glad and excited Darien got that unconditional love so so desperately deserved.
I adopted my son from birth. He was going into the system. He is 14 now. I will love him forever ♥️. No matter what. Sorry you had a horrible past. God Bless your Mom and Dad! Hugs ❤️
I am stunned shocked and appalled that Darien was forced to be in juvenile jail….for nothing other than having no parents. The huge injustice!! Omg…why not send those innocent kids in juvenile detention to top boarding schools….education and belonging ….and peer friends…..to send them to juvenile detention with criminals is utter insanity ..Darien is such a lovely, well spoken, kind and thoughtful young man. To be in juvenile prison, with violence from real criminals and rudeness from wardens would have been like a hell hole…I am SO glad he decided to give his now parents a try……so beautiful the bonds, love and togetherness …I cried from beginning to end. I am sure you will be and do so well. Darien, you are an amazing person. I wish you every happiness.
As someone who works in Criminal law I have met hundreds of people who are in or had been in the foster care system. Unfortunately I have not met one person who has experienced this type of care. In my experience any person that does not have an adult on their side, as completely as a bio-parent, they don't generally stand a chance of experiencing unconditional love and lifelong support. Of course your bio parents may not be loving or supporting but if they don't kick you out, they are at least avoiding the feeling of abandonment and giving you a place to live. Again, in my experience kids in the foster care or child protection services systems have a great chance of going to jail, quitting school and experiencing PTSD, sexual assault and other types of violence. These parents are really one in a million. You are destined for greatness, Darien. Best of luck!!
This is amazing I'm 36 now but I was a kid throwing around and chucked and institutions in juvenile prisons because they had no place to put meme when I was 11 to 18 and in just tossed out to the street after I was 18 with a backpack and a Greyhound ticket. I'm so glad this young man story than into like mine is actually given options and has a chance at life people to teach him things instead of having to figure everything out all on your own after being locked up your whole life.
I loved how Darrian said he was glad the other houses didn't work out so he could find this family. I hope you have peace with your past and are creating the life you love. I watch Dad How Do I channel to learn and for his kind fatherly demeanor. Blessings
My heart has always known that I want to adopt an older child - seeing this today just further proved that my heart is right. What an amazing story to share ❤️
Wow in my early 30's from Scotland and tears out of nowhere, never had emotion like this, what an amazing person Darion is and wow his two young loving parents so selfless , what amazing people they all are. So glad they choose to take children into there home as the system needs more people like these. Darian I can only imagine has been threw so so much and now he gets his happy ever ending. He will go on to do big things
I’m 24 and have been dead set against having kids for my whole life but this video has actually made me consider teenage adoption in the future. This was the most beautiful video I’ve ever seen and no video has ever made me cry or smile or laugh this much. I’m so happy for this beautiful family ❤
I absolutely luv how his mom asked for Darrians permission to share details about the obstacles they have had. They understand his trust has been broken so many times and no one has probably ever asked him how he feels. What an amazing family!
I was 3yrs legal guardian for two syrian underage lgbt refugee boys... the are living on their own now... but this movie reminded me of the joy it was to care for them... i'll look into if I can help other teens who need help... I'm sure here in Germany are also some in dire need
I'm 35 now but I was sent to a detention center when I was 16 because my mom just never came home one day and my father was out when I was a baby so I had no adult in my life who wanted me. So I can relate to being punished just because you don't have a home
I love this family. I don't know them but a good heart is a good heart and it radiates through the screen. I also love how their love language is sitting on couches and hanging out. "We wanted to adopt all of him." Then they deserve all the rewards. May this family experience all the joy. All of it.
I am appalled that it can be legal to lock up a youth in a correctional facility just for not having a family. I am touched by Darien's story, he and his parents seem like such a great fit, I'm happy for him! I know that when I have a more stable situation in my life financially and professionally I will foster young people, I've been thinking about it for many years.
The adoption day spoke such volumes. As the judge was declaring no more need for social services, you could see the weight that Darrian had been carrying for so long just fall. The moment he had fully been delivered. What a magnificent thing to witness. Thank You Lord for how You brought this to be. All glory is Yours forever and ever. Amen.
Thank you for sharing your story, Darien. I felt EVERYTHING in this video - especially when those chains broke when you were adopted! You are so loved. You are so worthy. You are going to live such a beautiful life. God bless you, D 🌻💛
I'm 52 yrd..black American man who had a lovin mother my brother and I also have three older sisters growing up with my mother on drugs dad died of heart failure...and my brother was taken from my mother and my brother and I went to stay with my grandmother and we did great in school and everything but we still miss our mom she got clean got us back but started on drugs again and lost us again and we went to our grandmother but it did not last we ended up in the foster home three together and we were split up..and 1989 my brother was killed in a car accident I stay with a loving foster older couple a lot of ups and downs but they stayed with me I was not adopted by them but they gave me love and I learned about JEHOVAH GOD my biological mother died in 1996 and both my Forster parents have passed away also..but like you said in your note you was reading on the court satan tries everything to get his way but JEHOVAH GOD wins every time .you are a smart young and lovin young and handsome youngman with two loving parents and a large family also you are still connected with your two biological sisters is wonderful I know you are gonna be amazing......ps..I never cried this much happy tears so much😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣..much blessings to you and your whole family.
This is beautiful. As I watched, all I could think was that God had to be looking down and smiling. God has to be thinking, "THIS is how I meant it to be. ".... and this world needs so much more of this! This beautiful family is setting the example for what CAN be!!! May the Lord continue to bless your entire family! Congrats, and THANK YOU ALl!
Kindred souls: what I like is that the dad is a bear of a man so that the son can feel like he has some one to look up to. If the dad was a "Barney" type of guy, he might feel like competition because of the man's size. Just watching this I had tears in me eyes. I always wanted to do foster care but haven't had a stable place yet.
During the watching of this video, I experienced tears of sadness but also a lot tears of Joy as well! May God Bless & keep the entire family! Darien is such a brilliant young man with a bright future ahead of him. ❤️
Sitting here watching this today, made me cry. I was in foster care as a teenager in New York City from 1999 to 2004. I am definitely proud of this young man for what he has become and I'm so grateful he finally found his forever family that stay with him and by his side.
Omg I love this sweet kid. I don't see how he was never adopted before but realize it just took this family time to find each other. God bless all of you. So so happy for you
EVERYONE should watch this video! There are so many older children that need real families like this one. Congratulations on a successful adoption! Darien is a wonderful young man. He deserves these awesome parents. ❤
As someone that lived in Pennsylvania I’m not shocked that they put him Detention but thank GOD he now have a Home congregation to You Darius and Your New Mom and Dad, GOD Bless You all❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Absolutely Beautiful
I am so happy this kid got a loving home and family as he deserves it. I could not believe kids get sent to a shelter but is like a prison cell and done no crime. I hope everything goes well for you and your family. You are such a beautiful kind and amazing person. All the best, Sending hope to everyone and love. ❤❤😊
I have always said this: “Love has no color restrictions because God has none!” Pure love flows from this testimony! Blessings to all! Thanks for sharing and living the true message of the Gospel - may we all truly love one another!❤
God does at the right time with the right parents ❤ I’ve cried Lord to hear a child say he didn’t want to love or be loved by anybody. I’m so happy for this little family and I Pray this young man has an amazing life. He deserves it…..
I can’t have children of my own and as I was adopted at birth-I always knew adoption was my thing. Hearing Darrians story really touched my heart. Reading the statistics touched my heart even more. Many people want toddlers or babies and I thought I might be one of them but to know many teens don’t have the support of a family, that hurt me even more. If there are kids or teens out there that need a home and want to be given a chance to be loved, I want to be that person to provide love to them. Im going to look into fostering now more than ever before because of Darrian’s story. Thank you Darrian for allowing me to hear your story.
I LONG for the day my family can start our foster care journey! Praying for the church to rise up and stand behind more amazing young Men and women….Darien, thank you for sharing a piece of your story with us ❤️
This brought me to tears. It also shows that we have more in common then not, if we take the time to get to know each other instead of juding without knowing the cirumstance this world would be a better place.
This is triggering for me because of my own past, so I had to tap out. But, all my best to this beautiful boy and the family who made him feel special and loved.
I was adopted at 16. I was pulled out of my parents house because one of my parents was severely abusive… it literally saved my life and turned me into a functioning human. If you are able to do this ultimate kindness to a needy child, I implore you to do it! It will be difficult but god will repay you tenfold with goodness and blessings in your life.
I can’t believe they kept an innocent boy in a detention center as a means of providing shelter! They’re has to be a better solution. A homeless shelter would’ve been better, at least he would still have his basic freedoms.
I’ve been crying tears of joy because of all the ❤️❤️❤️love these parents have for their wonderful son. I have several years of Property Management experience. And I’ve always had a heart to help people of all ages ❤️ With that said this video is truly inspiring to me because I know that this is God’s confirmation for me to continue on the path he has for me. May God continue to bless you all🙏🏽
Wao, what a touching history. God bless him, and those parents that decided to choose to love a teenager regardless. So good to hear him talking about his faith in God. God bless those who open their hearts and homes to love those foster children. Darien, what an inspiration. God keep you to be an example and touch many lives.
I cried throughout this video. A few years back, I look into adopting two kids. Now I wish I had followed through. I never had kids of my own. I still would love to be a mother.
I cried this whole Video. I was a Darien story, kind of. I Sat for 4.5 months in juvenile hall waiting for a foster home etc. I just ended up getting emancipated @17. My story wasn’t great BUT I didn’t let it ruin my spirit. I’m 47 now but watching this made it feel like just yesterday. Beautiful video man touching indeed
I'm a single guy. Adopted a 13 year old. Such hard work but an amazing experience. Love my son. He's 30 now. Married. Love my beautiful boy. Kevin. South Africa

That is amazing....God Bless
You just gave me hope for my furture
💚💚💚
As a Pennsylvanian I am absolutely embarrassed that this kid was held in a youth prison just for shelter.
That was absolutely shocking to hear ay.. how does that even happen..
You can help by becoming a foster parent
@@sssnnn3946👍💯💯💯
As an American, I feel the same. Truly unbelievably 😢
As American I am so sad this happens on earth …in America no God please help us love like this couple
I was adopted as a teenager by a family who had three other children adopted as babies. Somehow it worked and I don't remember my life before my mom and dad... And I don't want to. Thank God for people willing to take a chance.
Happy for you and your family
When he started crying after the adoption was official 😭 He had to be so strong for so long.
“We wanted to adopt all of him.” This is such a beautiful statement. Love this family so much, they’re so amazing.
🙏🏽❤🙏🏽
OK. I'm an older man but was UGLY CRYING when the judge was saying his speech for the adoption and Darien's reaction. 😭 I'm an adoptive dad of a 22-year-old young man that came to live with me when he was 13. LOVE THIS STORY!!
I admire this couple. And the way she asked his permission before talking about the difficult times speaks volume about her character.
Yes!!!
This!!!

Yes! Christians are already twice as likely to adopt as the general population and I hope to see that number increase.
You're so right.

It's really great that his biological siblings are allowed to be a part of Darian's life. The adoptive parents are truly a gift.
I can't believe that a young man without parents is being held in a young jail. They need to be a shame of their state. On another note this video brought tears to my eyes!
Unfortunately, that's not state specific. It happens all across the country on a daily basis.

He picked the same middle name as his dad my heart ❤️
Darien I pray you have an amazing life!
The speech by the mom !!
*tears*
That lady knows Jesus, she has the true heart of Christ. God bless them!
I hope so.

I hope you started the process
Her happy giggle when she gave him the cotton candy and said "thanks mom". Nothing else that needed to be said. So full of love ❤️

The way they give physical attention is so wholesome after all the years that he probably missed out on physical touch. Love this story.
They’re age is probably a plus. They can relate. This is a feel good story.
I agree… my teenage niece had been fostered by much older couples. They just can’t relate and really struggling to understand each other.
God bless this beautiful family that is the reason their is a God and if we trust him he will not leave us nor forsake us and when we really really, trust him he will give us his best
Young Man I am expecting great things from you The Almighty God is an untime God yest he is an he is the one that handpick the best parents for you God bless you all.🙏😇☮️❤️🇹🇹🇱🇷
That is exactly what I was thinking. They are young and can really relate to him better.
His energy and his music would seem disruptive to an older couple. But these parents are right there with him in all those activities. They love it and they love everything about having him in their lives. He took a chance on them and they were all in from the beginning. I'm so glad he opened his heart one last time.
An ecceptioally emotionaly stable and warm couple. It's actually a good thing that they are younger, because they can still play and goof around.
I am single empty nester mom .
Am in my 40 s am fit and have lots of love I want to give to someone.
Thought about fostering but I wasn't sure if I have enough to give
Watching this made my decision clear
Daren you are such amazing young man .
I am in tears I am bawling so hard! These parents deserve this kid and this kid deserve them 😢
I cried the whole time too!
You are an Angel. Congratulations to you and your family
Iam also 50 and I am wanting to adopt but it’s scary but I really have more love to give and want to share what God has given me
As a former adoption worker, this touched my SOUL. Parents, you are amazing! Many of us who work in the field know that the superheroes don't always wear the capes. We know that heroes are often people who are able to LOVE others through whatever it is they are facing. Darien, your story gives me hope and courage to NEVER stop believing.
Is an adoption worker the same as a social worker? I want to major in psychology and become a social worker, but I want to work with kids
@@Heyguhh Yes. Being in the social work field you can work in so many areas. It doesn't have to be with children.
@@Heyguhh Considering the fact that you want to be a social worker, I suggest you major in social work
Well said!
@@Heyguhh If you have any questions, I majored in psychology and am now getting my MSW :)
I cried the entire video. So happy for this family. I’m preparing to open my home and pray I have a success story.
I’m so sorry and you’re a LEGEND!!
You survived ❤
That’s because people are obsessed with babies and birth. They definitely don’t want to adopt an older black child. They don’t see black people as people but objects. It’s sad.
God bless you for your heart in this in so sorry for the difficult life you had.
This breaks my heart that this young man had to be in a detention depth just because. What kind of country have we becone.
What and where was this? He and his family are amazing
I thought it was about a commitment to love more so than any specific religion.
@@Trenchant468Love this unconditional and pure is in Jesus.
Hugs ❤️
You are an amazing person. Keep it up! God bless you and your family!
Where are you from? And how did you adopt him from birth? Cuz I'm curious cuz I'm trying to go that route myself and I live in Texas
Probably an adoption agency.
He's such a nice, handsome young man. I hope more teens get a chance.
😭 I cannot believe the system placed him in an environment like that. So much trauma, my heart goes out to all he experienced.
Just think of the thousands of others. Too many great kids are getting treated like this and in different states
I am stunned shocked and appalled that Darien was forced to be in juvenile jail….for nothing other than having no parents. The huge injustice!! Omg…why not send those innocent kids in juvenile detention to top boarding schools….education and belonging ….and peer friends…..to send them to juvenile detention with criminals is utter insanity
..Darien is such a lovely, well spoken, kind and thoughtful young man.
I LOVE this!!! “Why not send them to top boarding schools” YES YES YES!!!!
I’m am so happy for this young man and his family! I adopted a little boy through foster care myself and he is the light of my life.😊
God bless you.
As a foster parent wanting one day to adopt thank you for sharing your story Darien.
I hope you adopted
This is what pure...unadulterated true love...looks like. May God continue to bless all of them.
MSBS: I'm so sorry..you are in my thoughts & prayers Feel the virtual hugs
I loved how Darrian said he was glad the other houses didn't work out so he could find this family. I hope you have peace with your past and are creating the life you love. I watch Dad How Do I channel to learn and for his kind fatherly demeanor. Blessings
I hope you found your way in life. This is So sad how the system works.
Wow! I can’t stop crying. Thank you Jesus for the love surrounding this awesome young man!! Parents, y’all are amazing! 😭🙏🏾💙
My heart has always known that I want to adopt an older child - seeing this today just further proved that my heart is right. What an amazing story to share ❤️
This family exudes so much love and affection. I have good vibes with these people.
Currently looking into starting the process of adopting a teen. Thank you for sharing this story. Who is cutting onions?? Sheesh!
How is your process going and what state are you in? I am in Texas trying to do the same thing but not necessarily a teenager
The WHOLE time the onions had me. 🥲
Me too!!
Glad I wasn’t the only one who had tears in their eyes! Well, I had more than that lol. I was full-on ugly crying from beginning to end!
Good luck. Make happy memories. Maybe your story should be told
That's just bizarre... seriously. Hope you living the best life you can.
My whole family loved watching this. God is so good! Sent this to so many people to watch.
Thank you for sharing!
what is their instagram?
I'm 52 yrd..black American man who had a lovin mother my brother and I also have three older sisters growing up with my mother on drugs dad died of heart failure...and my brother was taken from my mother and my brother and I went to stay with my grandmother and we did great in school and everything but we still miss our mom she got clean got us back but started on drugs again and lost us again and we went to our grandmother but it did not last we ended up in the foster home three together and we were split up..and 1989 my brother was killed in a car accident I stay with a loving foster older couple a lot of ups and downs but they stayed with me I was not adopted by them but they gave me love and I learned about JEHOVAH GOD my biological mother died in 1996 and both my Forster parents have passed away also..but like you said in your note you was reading on the court satan tries everything to get his way but JEHOVAH GOD wins every time

Jehovah is good we just have to let him guide us 🙏
Hope you have a nice family of your own and are connected to your biological family
This is my daughter's story too. Thank you so much for expressing it all so well. Congrats!
Congratulations
Kindred souls: what I like is that the dad is a bear of a man so that the son can feel like he has some one to look up to. If the dad was a "Barney" type of guy, he might feel like competition because of the man's size. Just watching this I had tears in me eyes. I always wanted to do foster care but haven't had a stable place yet.
I caouldn't believe he was in a detention centre with offenders. I'm so glad he found his true family. God bless you all.
So so happy for you
Who can watch this and not cry! This child was definitely made for these parents.thank God they found each other
EVERYONE should watch this video!
I follow this family on Instagram and fell in love with how much love they have for each other. This video made me cry so hard God bless him

What’s their Instagram?
How ANYONE can watch this and not have tears in their eyes if not full on crying is beyond me! What a joyous moment for all! ❤❤❤
I am so happy this kid got a loving home and family as he deserves it. I could not believe kids get sent to a shelter but is like a prison cell and done no crime.
I hope everything goes well for you and your family.
You are such a beautiful kind and amazing person.
All the best,
Sending hope to everyone and love. ❤❤😊
I have always said this: “Love has no color restrictions because God has none!” Pure love flows from this testimony! Blessings to all! Thanks for sharing and living the true message of the Gospel - may we all truly love one another!❤
This made me sad and happy. But its a happy ending. Adopt teens people. They need a loving home, a safe home.
God does at the right time with the right parents ❤ I’ve cried Lord to hear a child say he didn’t want to love or be loved by anybody. I’m so happy for this little family and I Pray this young man has an amazing life. He deserves it…..
The judge dancing with them at the end though, tell me why that made me cry even harder!?!?!
Im so sorry he has been hurt so many times. What a beautiful family. No kid should grow up in the system.
I cried as hard as he did. To God be the glory!
Amen Amen!! Definitely a God story. He’s the only one that could do this.
I LONG for the day my family can start our foster care journey! Praying for the church to rise up and stand behind more amazing young Men and women….Darien, thank you for sharing a piece of your story with us ❤️
I pray this happens for you 🙏💜
Yess amen. I can't wait to adopt too when I'm older
This brought me to tears. It also shows that we have more in common then not, if we take the time to get to know each other instead of juding without knowing the cirumstance this world would be a better place.
"He just loves so fiercely. To be in his circle is such a privilege."
This is triggering for me because of my own past, so I had to tap out. But, all my best to this beautiful boy and the family who made him feel special and loved.
I pray all the absolute best for you too!! Keep facing forward, your latter is greater than your former 💝
I hope you have a great life now
I am in Jamaica and washed you people are very good people to black people you talk about God and that is very good god will take of everything
This is and was absolutely heartbreaking and heart mending.
I know he will go far, especially with this amazing family. ♥️
May God continue to bless you all🙏🏽
What a beautiful soul and family. Everyone needs to see this film! ❤
Wept so much while watching this raw, honest, and beautiful story. I'm so delighted for this family.
Please try again now!❤
It’s never too late 🖤
I cried this whole
Video.
The best thing I’ve seen in ages.
