Yep. I remember those paychecks. Breaking my back over night in the freezer, working 12 hour shifts. Now I make these same paychecks but working 8 hours with daytime schedule, and sitting at a desk in a temperature controlled office. Every man should spend a few years working these kind of jobs.
What percentage did you have going at this pace? Seems like a nice steady pace for me even. I’m a woman trying to become a order selector. Have a very athletic background so I don’t see the physical work being a problem for me but the way some describe this job got me scared 😅

I’m about to start at Sysco. I have a question. How does the incentive pay scale work? My location tops out at 44 an hour. I’ve looked all over for an explanation about the pay scale, but can’t find any answers.
Every day you run a certain number and at the end of the week they average those percent out to one number and where ever that number falls on the grid that’s wat you get payed for that week.. then it starts all over again the following Sunday
I have a few questions. #1: can you do a video of how to read the scanner? Does it tell you where to go? How many of this or that to pull? #2 how many orders are done at a time? #3 where do the orders go when complete? #4, how do you know if you're done with an order? #5 does every item pulled get a sticker? How do you know where to put everything? Final question, is it a 4 day work week or 5?
That scanning and placing labels on every case makes you move at a slower pace. Thats why most warehouses use voice picking. You can move alot faster. The only thing you will be touching is the cases. Everytime you touch those labels and the device on your wrist you could've been picking up a case
It doesn’t look like you have too much traffic in your warehouse is that true ? I work at aldi and there’s so much traffic it’s hard to get a good rate.

Other way around.. for example r pallet has stops 10-7 .. don’t bury stop 7 or 8 in R2 at the bottom .. because the driver would have to either down stack the entire pallet jus to get 1 or 2 cases OR he may not see it and you get a short
