    • @xqeze
      @xqeze Год назад +4

      It will help you lose weight at first and its a goodwork out. But if you increase your food intake to compensate for the extra energy you use, then you will not. Most people who do this become very fit. There are a couple that will just have very strong arms and legs with a big belly because they eat too much. I eat too much to maintain energy, but I gain almost 10 lbs on my days off because I don't slow down my eating when I don't need it. I'm not fat but you definitely can't see my abs.
      Most places will let you have a bluetooth speaker. Alot of folks will also have airbuds but you are required to have 1 ear open. However, that rule is rarely enforced. There are some places that don't allow any music because it can distract from hearing people driving by you and could cause you to get run over.

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze 9 месяцев назад

      I try to do arrows up. In perishable this is not an issue for the most part. But in meat I know there is a four tie box that has a open top. If i stack on it then the product would smash and and my load would lean. But that is rare in perishable. However in freezer the boxes are so irregular it becomes impossible to make level surfaces to stack on without stacking on their side. As well there are several boxes that are stronger when stacked upside down. I recently started stacking as stated on box to keep people happy. But it results in basically a lot of column stacking that is unstable. Either suppliers need to have more standardized box sizes or sturdier boxes that it doesn't matter the side they are on. The only boxes that actually make sense to stack horribly for the sake of keeping arrows up is our frozen cake boxes. No body wants a cake with messed up frosting. I'm definitely on the fence with this issue and feel it is more a supplier and box manufacture issue than it is a order selector issue.

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze Год назад +4

      If you're talking percentage, then that would be meaningless unless we worked in the same warehouse. Standards are different everywhere. I pull an average of 250 to 270 cph in freezer. I was probably only pulling 250 cph in this video. Which comes to about 100% in my warehouse. If you want to walk you just need to be more efficient. Set the box and keep moving. If you fumble around with boxes in the upper slots, then get good with the case hook. To practice, i used to carry the case hook in one hand throughout an entire order. It can save you a lot of time if you can use it and still grab multiple boxes without going to put it back on your jack every time. Jack placement is huge too. Making sure your pallets are in the best position to eliminate unnecessary movement. I also am calling off boxes ahead of me so I already know where to go. All the little things add up.

      Sometimes. It depends on what you're stacking. Freezer boxes are light a stiff usually and in my freezer, there are few matching sizes. It is faster to column stack and you can get away with it in freezer. But I don't recommend column stacking in meat because the boxes are heavy and soft. But column stacking is the fastest way if you can get away with it without spilling or slowing down to keep it from spilling.

    Does the person tell him what to get and how many?

      There's a lady robot in my headset telling me what to grab and how many. I reply with the check digit of the slot and confirm that I grabbed the cases.

    Ame of the warehouse i want to apply?

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze Год назад +2

      I'm not giving out the name until I get approval. But it's probably one of the largest grocery chains. If you want to do this work look for order selector jobs or order picker with the highest pay. I hear walmart incentive pay is very good but they don't have union. Union can provide job security but sometimes it can screw you. Look around and ask questions.

    What kind of clothes u use to select in the freezer?

    • @xqeze
      @xqeze Год назад +3

      I wear thermal leggings, jeans, long sleeve t shirt, wool socks, carhart hoodie, beanie, cold weather suspender coveralls, 2 pairs of gloves, and cat boots. You don't want to be too warm though because once you start moving it can get a little hot. I try to sweat cause that will make you feel colder when you come back from break.

      @ethanbaker5987 I'm 5' 7" stuff in the back on top slot will be difficult. Either jump or get good with the case hook. I think the case hook is faster after you master it. If you have alot of upper slots you will get wore out quickly if you're jumping every couple slots. If pallet doesn't have alot you can slide out one corner, grab your case and push it back in.

      It's freezer I can stack much worse than that. It doesn't really matter in freezer. Everything is very light and the boxes are stiff.
