I think there’s several reasons Kyrie is so satisfying and enjoyable to watch. He’s very strictly a rule follower. He doesn’t exploit traveling or carries even though he could. He doesn’t flop. He doesn’t complain about calls. He seeks contact with the goal of creating space for his shot, not tricking refs for free throws. (These shouldn’t feel like rare qualities but unfortunately in 2024, they are) And obviously the finishing and shot-making has always been and will always be completely preposterous. So you just have a dude who torches everyone in the league purely through basketball skill. Not size. Not athleticism. Not strength. Not cheap exploits. Pure skill.
exactly. He keeps the game honest and is purely better than players off of his skill. There's no fakery to it or taking advantage of the rules. That's why him scoring 20 feels like 30 or 40. All legit buckets.
This is the best written out reasons I’ve ever read of why he’s a joy to watch. Absolute shame that he was limited the past few years in Brooklyn. The world lost the opportunity to watch one of the last true hoopers.
@@dominiczinnanti6708 I still can’t get over the fact that Kyrie and LeBron didn’t get more time together. It was a perfect fit for playoff excellence. Good or bad, he had reasons to want to leave, and threw away another decade of finals runs in Cleveland. At least he’s back to that version of himself.
And also don't forget the advantage of the floor, he always uses that advantage when taking a lay up, when he's on air he can do what he wanted to do by pushing that limit while he is floating on air cuz he know he can lay down on floor after that moment (And that's also his advantage in every play "I think" )
Perfect summary brother. Id like to say also his cold ass clutch temper. He doesn't look as if he forces stuff, that might make you think he's not very athletic, don't be fouled. That bro can dunk easily, has a quick first step and can stop in a dime. HE is very athletic and has a lot of body control
Kyrie's ability to process information around him and then act on in so quickly is incredible. Like the finish against Kawhi Leonard. He knew when Kawhi would reach peak height and then put his legs up and as he came down with it he placed the ball perfectly to make the layup. And all this internal processing was like in 1 second. It's incredible
I'm rooting for my Mavericks, but the criticism he received was valid. If you look at what Kyrie has done this season, he SHUT his mouth on things unrelated to basketball. And now you see the success that yields. That's all he had to do.
1:55 This layup over Wemby is just a magic trick, when little guys beat bigs with deception is the best.

There's something Luka should learn from Kyrie. He never complains to the referees. When he finishes his offensive play, he immediately goes back to play defense. He is focused in the game, nothing else.
No worries, Kyrie is right next to Luka, mentoring and supporting him while playing. If you watch closely, Luka has been doing what you said in the last several PO games. Much more left to improve.
As much as Kyrie is the man, there’s levels. Kyrie can only wish he was at Lukas level, Kyrie can’t lead a franchise, we seen him for 4 years while on the Cavs before the GOAT came back
Accolades/Stance in NBA History: - best ball handler of all time - most skilled player ever - top ten clutchest player of all time - rookie of the year - all star MVP - team USA mvp - been to the finals 4x - 1 championship ring - consecutive seasons of shooting 50/40/90 - one of the greatest comeback stories How is this man not top 75 ???? Kyrie impact on the game in the future will be up there close to AI. All these kids are now going to working on they skill set trying to match Kyries and te NBA is going to be scary in the future 😤😤😤
Has to be top 75 I agree. He is on a level with or better than wade. And his finishing is top 2 all time with jordan. Edit: after game 2 of the Mavs - Celtics series. Kyrie doesn’t have the consistency anywhere near that of Jordan. So .. consistency counts for something..
Kyrie Irving is amazing he’s top 5 ever to me. The way he braces himself after crazy finishes is amazing. Used to live watching him go against John Wall and my wizards. 😂 Funny how they both have worn 11 & 2 . Random my bad.
I'm glad Kyrie has finally found the team that really fits him. Even Luka has a lot of respect for him and the Dallas Mavs organization. Way to go Mavs!
Uncle Drew be Serving, Curving, Turning, and Swerving, All while Keeping his Defenders from ever Learning. He’ll soon start Burning, Churning, and Working, until the entire opposing team starts Quirking in the Hands of “Kyrie Irving”!🔥
Kyrie is the perfect Yin to Luks's Yang - Kyrie is a jet that uses quickness and dexterity around the hoop as opposed to Luka who is the master of deceleration and he's slow as f#$% although Luka plays at his pace with the ball on a string. Both can shoot the 3 well though and both can drive to the hoop in their own way. The fact that they play so well together is fortunate for the Cavs title run.
We all talk about what he is great at but lets appreciate the stuff that goes unnoticed, Like he is an underrated defender with quick feet and hands, and his off the ball movement is dare i say is better than on the ball IMO bc he seems comfortable shooting off the pass
The best part is he is with a great player like Luka Doncic who is willing to win at any cost. How Kyrie has become a leader and can help mold Luka into a great player. How Luka doesn't have to do everything himself to win games now.
Kyrie Irving is the greatest skilled and ball handler of all time and one the greatest clutch players ever also.
Can’t forget about the greatest finisher 🔥
Someone else who praises his game instead of shitting on him 👌🏻 thank you
Dude probably has the best lay up too..
To letters AI
Ai isnt close to kyrie when it comes to driving and finishing. You cant find 1/4 as many finishing highlights of kyrie for AI @jamesttt9071

the apology for this man better be as LOUD as the criticism those months ago!!!!

Why? He was a cancer for other teams
@@SennSawmore Like The Teams were cancer. Mavs treat him good

His layup package is so different
his left hand finish is outrageously good
@@RenfromBespin they can't guard him when finishing left. So lethal kyrie.
Ima get in my bag
He shows then moves the ball every time switches hands amazing
Without him, they wouldnt have made it to the Finals this year. He is him.
Luka too. The league fucked up letting them 2 team up

@@MarkoPolo1810you acting like Kyrie had help there. The 2nd leading scorer on that team was Alonzo Gee😭. Do you even know who that guy is?
Mans the PG version of Kobe. The mastery is elite
the most beautiful and iconic ball handler and finisher player is none other than Kyrie Irving
Crazy body control, phenomenal mid range game, A1 court vision, and the ball is like an yo-yo in his hands! SALUTE
Kyrie has the best most purest game ever his bag is literally a blank canvas and he is a true artist out there.
we need to vote kyrie to all star this upcoming szn

The NBA is dumb for not placing Kyrie Irving in the top 75.
4 of these are personal opinions 😭
he is basketball itself. Pure full package.

my dude earns every shot & passes.............Just a Beast of a Player!!!
0:40 is the best contested layup I have ever seen that went in. Great defense but apex offense.
This dude is just sick with the ball 🤯🥶
So unbelievably skilled, explosive, exciting, magical.
I don't care who's your Goat or Rank 1. Kyrie is Special and one of a kind and for me he is the Best of the Best.

I dont think many people realize kyrie has averaged basically 25 pt in his career while shooting a whole 1% less free throws than any other star
2024 KYRIE is the 4th best version of him. #1 is 2019
KYRIE IS A KING OF BALL HANDLING & FINISHING MASTER🙌🔥
