Bad Boy now makes a monster blower I’ll totally buy when my Stihl needs a part costing more than the blower is worth and have to wait months on said part. Bad Boy mowers are also highly underrated.
I looked up the specs on the 600 and 450 and noticed the 600 is actually a couple pounds lighter than the 450 but the 450 holds more gas. I’ll be looking to get the 600. Nice video. Keep up the good work
Correct. The technical spec says the 600 is lighter in weight, but the 450 is more compact in size. I strapped them both on as I was trying to decide and found the 450 “felt” lighter possibly due to the weight distribution. I also liked the tube design better on the 450. But you can’t go wrong with either.
@ I work in a property management company and we do all kinds of outdoor work and stuff. It’s so fun to work in and go back-and-forth about all of this outdoor power equipment and whatever.
I just had the same experience upgrading from a basic handheld to a 450 a couple weeks ago. First time I squeezed the trigger and watched a huge swath of leaves and pine needles disappear…had to have a hard conversation with myself about the hours I could have saved if I’d ponied up for one of these years ago 😂
You should have gone with the BR800 for that $600. I know they are limited in use, but the time savings is huge. Plus I use them in business, however, I find alot of other uses for them., blowing out your garage or shed, blowing off your car or truck after washing it, blowing cob webs off buildings, etc. But you still got a good blower for your task.
Looks like you picked a powerful enough blower to do that entire yard. Make sure you wear the proper ear protection when using it, since it seems pretty noisey especially with the unit on your back being so close to your ears. Great solution to your problem (but unfortunately your wife can now tell you "I told you so" since it was her idea. 😀)
Yes, its definitely the right compromise in size vs. power. I definitely will wear ear protection. I already have major ear problems that have resulted in a half dozen surgeries over the last 15 years. My right ear drum is completely reconstructed and I have a titanium prosthetic hearing bone in the right ear as well. Left ear isn't quite as bad.. but still not great.
@@randomstuffwithjoeSo sorry about your hearing issues and I guess I didn't need to even mention the ear protection since you are well aware of the potential issues.
@@davidschliebe246 our town has restrictions on when you can burn. For example, there’s a ban at the moment due to the lack of rain we’ve been having. There’s a higher risk of wildfires. But even if I could burn.. it’s definitely not easier than just blowing them into the woods. This method was super easy.

Nice video, this is the first I’ve found of yours. Enjoyed hearing why you picked it. Definitely need the power with that amount of leaves.
Thx for watching. I definitely feel it was the right choice for my needs. 👍🏻

Going on 10 years with the rock solid BR450. 2 strokes forever. Only thee moving light parts.
Good to hear. I will probably only use it for fall clean up and maybe some occasional other uses, so I expect it will last me a very long time.

Yep. That's pretty much the same conversation I had with myself after my first use. lol

I was tempted. But I liked the more compact size of the 450. I've used it a lot over the past few days. Its a beast. I'm not regretting it at all.
@@randomstuffwithjoe cool! That's what counts!

The leaves are beautiful, leave them.
You have no idea why:
Why dont you burn dead dry leaves like that. Its much simpler.
