Hi, its seems like your coffee ground not spread evenly causing channeling. You may search for puck prep video for proper puck preparation.

Your extraction pressure did not reach 9Bar, the junction of green and red is the critical point of 8-9Bra. Insufficient extraction pressure will result in a thin and greaseless coffee liquid. The problem can be retrieved in two directions: 1. Use WTD to improve the uniformity of the coffee powder. 2. Grind finer coffee powder to increase the pressure. I've been using H10A for a few months now, and every time the oil is very rich, but it should be noted that the grinding coarseness of each coffee bean is different, you need to test more to find the corresponding grinding coarseness!

You should check your coffee beans. That's really watery espresso. Not correct. Also no scale?

The 3rd shot explains everything. Your grounds need to be finer for the non-pressurized filters (1st and 2nd shot). The 3rd filter used is a double wall pressurized filter which is for course grounds, that's why the 3rd shot turned out better. You can clearly see in the gauge how much pressure it was pumping on each shot.

After 3 months, have you already learned the proper way to dial in an espresso? If not, im pretty sure the community is willing to help. H10a is a wonderful budget friendly machine👌🏻

It seems moving from delonghi that i'm pretty sure use pressurized basket, then to unpressurized on hi10, with pregrounds coffee most likely, of course you won't get good espresso out of it.

As refer to your video that is Not machine problem.Hibrew H10A is a budget machine which also can made good espresso. Suggestion : Do more practice on how to grind the coffee bean and what kind of bean (dark roast or meddium roast). How fine of the coffee ground needed. You can refer to James Hoffmann videos. Hope can help. Thanks

Huh? He didn't grind fresh beans and he didn't weigh it out, he did not puck prepping and he didn't properly tamp..
The flow of the coffee was too fast which mean the espresso is sour..
I had this machine and I produced excellent espresso from it. However, I returned the machine due to the brew head is plastic. The porta filter and basket is of good quality.

How was it? I ordered one and the realized too late that the brew head was plastic. Did this prevent the porta filter and brew head from getting warm? I may return it too, how was your return process with which seller? Thank you 🙏

It was via Amazon and the return process was very easy.. The brew head does not get hot unless you run hot water through it first..
It does make great espresso though. But the plastic brew head is a deal killer..
There is a newer version out but it still has a plastic brew head.. I decided to just level up and went with a Lelit Victoria and William grinder. The Lelit has a brass boiler and stainless steel brew head. The Gaggia Classic EVO also a brass brew head and a stainless steel boiler.

@@mamadouaziza2536 thanks for replying 🙌 are you in the US? Was concerned if I used it and then returned it they might take a restocking fee or partial deduction of the refund or something. So didn't know whether to just return it without unboxing it or give it a few uses to see how it is. Thanks !

    Hello.
The problem turned out to be a damaged pump on the machine. After a long wait for the complaint to be resolved, I was able to return it to Banggood. Very disappointed with my experience with them and Hibrew. Buying a product from them is very quick and easy, but returning it (within the return period!) is very unpleasant and takes 3 months. This clip was created and uploaded to be provided to Banggood as they do not receive it via email. If you think it will be helpful, I'll leave it up!

    • @lithop8984

Leave it as a manual for those who have the same problem as you. Nevertheless your problem didn't seem to be the pump, but the way you use the machine. It is complicated, and you miss some crucial steps while preparing the portafilter. Probably capsule machine will be much better, no headache, solution for you...
