One of the most fun days of potted bay bass fishing I've ever had!
Not necessarily the best numbers wise, but it was truly amazing to see this many big fish in a row get landed!
Spotted bay bass are one of my all time favorite fish to target, and for those of you who do not know, they do not get very big.
The average spotty caught is probably between 10 inches to 13 inches, so catching so many "Legals", 14+ inch spotties in a single day, was truly something special!
What a fun day with my boys, and thank you Jason for showing us around and putting us on some fish!
Thank you all for watching! Please like this video and subscribe to the channel if you have not already!

Uggggghhhh I'm on Google Maps desperately trying to figure out where this fishing spot is! 😅
Spotted sand bass are the last bass I'm trying to catch for my "saltwater bass trifecta" (kelp bass, barred sand bass, spotted sand bass).

You can catch them in every single harbor from Ventura to San Diego! If you’re going to Bart Hall, bring a rod and cast literally anywhere in that harbor and you have a shot at a spotty!Just get out and go try it.
I had to drive 1-2 hours to get on a decent spotty day, but I was able to talk my friends into coming with me one day to try it.
No idea where to start or any knowledge on how to catch them, and just used what I’ve seen people use in videos, and we got them.
And have now caught spotted bay bass in every harbor I’ve been to in Southern California!
I’m not saying this to stop you from searching for any 1 spot, but to let you know there are literally spotted bay bass EVERYWHERE lol!

@@jake9705 I don’t do that, for almost any of the areas that aren’t my local spots.
Not my spot to burn, so it would be disrespectful for me to give locations and time of year for friends showing me their spots.

I’m sorry because this is going to offend LMB fishing…
Spotted Bay Bass are way more fun to catch, especially on trout gear…
I’ve been using ultra light setups T-rig as light as possible (10# braid , 6 pound leader, sometimes 2# mono straight if I really feeling confident)…😂🍻

    • @Dirty.Hookers
      @Dirty.Hookers  6 месяцев назад +1

I don’t think that would offend any LMB people. I personally really wish more world wide LMB people knew that saltwater bass like this existed.
The fact that you can target them with the same tactics and knowledge you would use to catch LMB, makes spotties extra special!
As for 2#, you’re on your own with that one lol.
If I had spots with eel grass for them maybe, but all of my local areas are just strait rock lol.

Nice man! Do your best to keep it to yourself. Pretty well known spot tbh, but it’s still not crazy overfished so it’s important to try to keep it that way.
To many places getting super pressured now that Fishbrain and social media kinda burns them out.
