Thanks for watching. The Gyro data have been in the camera since update 7.9, but the new update is very good. I did a video with tips and tricks for better results when using Gyro data. You can find it here:ruclips.net/video/igfLunZwjkk/видео.html
Hi, what I didn't understand is whether these clips were recorded with the old software and then you just updated the software in the camera and re-downloaded it in davinci resolve? Because I wonder if the update perhaps writes the data differently and perhaps more accurate.
My camera shipped with fw 8.4 and but can't seem to upgrade. When launching Blackmagic Camera Setup -> camera settings, it's supposed to prompt you but doesn't for me. Was it a straightforward update in your case?
@@DukeDenverFilm yeah, I got the 'Blackmagic Camera 8.6 Public Beta' downloaded, connects to camera fine but won't offer the update. It's a Windows program that contains the firmware within I guess.
Raised it to BMD Support too. The camera 8.6 firmware is only applicable to the pocket and cinema camera range, not the Micro Studio G2, which explains all. Hopefully there'll be an update shortly that resolves the gyro issues. Unfortunately it's unusable as it stands.
I found out exactly the same when I did some testing yesterday using my new BMMCC 4K G2 handheld and the results are amazing. ❤🎉
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for video. Where can i find info how to turn on Gyro stabilization on the camera? Should I upgrade firmware?

You need to download the latest update from Black magic homepage.

I am suprised Gyroflow still looks light years better than any Davinci stabilization.
I did not try that, maybe i should look in to that....
