Just for all the slow motion scenes
it was said in an interview with the directors that the idea was tossed around BUT it would take way to long considering those 4 minute scenes in the x-men movies took almost 2 months to film ALONE (a little over 6 weeks) that is without editing and such, the actor had to be on set for 6ish weeks i should say. BUT its rumored that quicksilver may be the X-man that is introduced in the next deadpool movie. which is marvel saying. "GIVE US EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE!!!! MUWAHAHAHAHA" ...... sooooo yeah ;)

Have we all forgotten in apocalypse the explosion rescue scene? An explosion travels (around) 5 times faster than a bullet, yet we all watched it move at your average movie slow motion speed while he moved at super speed.

I think the MCU version was better. He was more like the character in the comics than the one in X-Men. The one in X-Men was like an annoying kid. The problem with the MCU version is that he had little screen time, no character development, no story arc, and he died in his debut movie without so much as a mention afterwards. Pretty good way to make any character unlikeable, unendearing, and forgettable. The actual character and actor itself was good, he was just very poorly written.

With the new movie's scene with Quicksilver, it appears he can go even faster. I am not positive, but it looks like he can go at super speeds even during his "time-slowing" speed. We can see he is traveling throughout the manor in less than a second, because of the bee's wings at the start of the scene (300-something flaps per second?). I'm curious to find out how fast he really is going.

In this movie he is constantly going what seems to be "super speed inside of super speed". Singer was already in the middle of DoFP when he got word that Ultron was going to use QS for the FIRST appearance in a live CBM... and the lawyers said BOTH Fox and MCU had rights to QS due to a loophole in the contracts.... so Singer HAD TO SQUEEZE EVAN PETERS INTO Days so Fox could get a QS out .... BEFORE MCU did, ha ha ha!

The Quicksilver from Age Of Ultron actually resembles the comic book version however the power level of the XMen Quicksilver matches the comic book version.
quicksilver from x men is extremely op though, he is at some flash level speeds which is the speed of light when he is running normally in the movies while he is only supposed to run at the speed of sound normally. Speed of light = speed of sound x 3000 mph. Quicksilver isnt supposed to be that fast.

there are different theories for quicksilvers speed, some theorise that he speeds up his own personal pocket of time around his body which allows him to see, hear and interact with objects without hurting himself or other people around him like the mansion scene, other believe that he is speeding up his molecular movement which is why he is able to see in slow motion while he is standing still as well as the possible ability of him being able to walk through the closed x-man door in the same mansion scene. I like the time dilation theory with the added caveat that he is the only person who can act in this pocket time as we see the other people still frozen because their brains can not keep up with the accelerated time.

People like to take Age of Ultron's lower speed as him being a weak and therefore inferior version of the character but frankly I prefer it this way. Speedsters more than any other type of comic book character run into the issue of being way too damn OP because speed's a way harder thing to grasp than pure strength or damage output. It's better to put them on limits and make them more vulnerable makes the action more interesting.

That is the exact problem we're talking about. The writers had to make Apocalypse a Gary Stu, and pull stuff never stated prior in the film, to make him able to kick Quick Silver's ass. That's something I personally disliked from the Film. Quick Silver is supposed to run at Mach 2000+, he is easily the most overpowered character in the entire X-Men film universe, even more so than Charles and Apocalypse himself. When the heck did Apocalypse gain reflexes and powers as fast as that??? If he had them, why didn’t he used them before OR after that encounter??? The answer is simple, he didn’t. But, without that Gary Stu stunt, Apocalypse would have been death at the hands of Pietro 45 minutes earlier in the film.
I just love how he just goes down on the facts, and math on one scene in a movie, like slow down.
