Wow!! That's some awesome parts! That would be cool to wire up the panel with relays to keep the buttons lit and the cancel button to turn off the light. Somehow you could wire the indicator…
+Cherry City Elevators Thanks! Yeah, that's an idea. I figured out everything, except for maybe the emergency light, takes 24 volts DC so now I just have to figure out where all the wires go.
The 1990's and onwards buttons probably use a Microswitch for the contact. I like the feel of the pre 1990's Impulse buttons, reminds me of a GAL button for some reason.
Awesome! This is such a great part! Also, stop run takes the H1846. Some ideas for those lockout switches are the H2011, H2252, and H2007. I have an OTIS series 1 panel in my garage. Unfortunately, stupid 8-year-old me felt it would be smart to take it apart and get the individual parts. It is now a hot mess. With the help of Unitec, I hope to refurbish it :)
+Elevation Station Productions Thanks! Yeah, I made several mistakes in this video. I got the H1846 and the 1848 mixed up a little. I think my dad might have one of those other H series keys on his work ring that I'll have to borrow and try out. And sorry about that. Hope you can get it put back together!
+kcin556 I wish. I actually recorded several videos of this elevator back in 2011-2012 (one of them was actually a meetup with another enthusiast), but after re-watching them, I realized they were really crappy, not in quality but in several other aspects. Anyway, I deleted all of them off of RUclips a year or two ago, of course having no idea that this building would be demoed. The only hope is that I might have the DVD I wrote the video to laying around somewhere, and if I ever find it, I'll re-post the video.
+WheelockElevator We do. I'll have to investigate that and read the manual for this particular model. I can't seem to find any power or telephone line connections on the back of it right now.
Stop/Run takes H1846 not H1848, H1848 is floor lockouts.

I have some Dover parts, and they work on 24v but I actually think they take 48v. I guess they would be a bit brighter on 48v
+Cherry City Elevators I believe they do take 48 as well, but 24 is more convenient for me, haha. You'll have to make a parts video sometime!

+NewEnglandElevators I see.
what will happen of the elevator power goes out and the emergency light is burned out?

I am going to work closely on it. I hope it works out. Are you an elevator key collector? I am a very avid one with over 40 keys!
+Elevation Station Productions I have a bunch of them, but I haven't purchased one in a long time.
Cool.
My panel is an early hydraulic panel with floors P, L*, 2, & 3.
Did you ever film a video of this thing in operation? I'd imagine it'd be almost surreal to look back at it now.

Where can I get it
Was this building demolished for a CVS pharmacy?
do you have the alarm bell from the elevator car?
No.
dieselducy has an elevator alarm bell
You got a landline? wire that phone up to call your phone or something. I think they run off 9v batteries
+WheelockElevator We do. I'll have to investigate that and read the manual for this particular model. I can't seem to find any power or telephone line connections on the back of it right now.
+msj191961 You got insta gram or something that you can take a photo of the back for me?
+WheelockElevator I'll take a photo of the back, and if you can give me your email address, I can send it to you tomorrow.
