I just love these parts video with the how in depth it all is, how it's runned through, how it's been edited and the ambient music in the background which makes it all so professional! Fantastic work, Jason!
There was a lot of time in the making. Firstly, getting it from TX to MO. Then the hours I spent wiring, programming, and troubleshooting. I actually have to rewire most of the panel since I messed up my wiring initially.
That’s insanely cool. Good job on that one honestly love Dover impulse and just watching this entire video. Very good job, I wish I could do something like that
Just as famous as Impulse is, it seems like in my area (New Jersey) I can't stop finding Schindler 330As! (Schindler's American headquarters are in New Jersey which makes some sense though.)
Well Dover was based out of Memphis, TN, so you typically find more of them in the Midwest and south. There were companies up north like Northwestern and Lagerquist who distributed Dover in states like Minnesota and Wisconsin.
This panel is so cool. The elevator at lake highlands village has a Dover impulse which it had more that were demolished has this very same panel except it has a fire service key switch. Sadly that elevator was broken today 😢
@@stlelevators Okay thank you. My church in Fairview Heights has a 1997 Long Elevator that might get modded from some info I've heard. I hope to get the call button and the panel. Whenever that may happen can you possibly wire it?
Those switches are made by Honeywell and are VERY expensive to buy new ones so be careful with them! It's cool you have them though, everything about this project is cool!

Fantastic work, Jason!
Thanks :) I put a lot of time into these projects.
I agree with Lift Inspector
i couldn't even imagine trying to figure out how to wire that, how do you do it XD
A lot of time and frustration :P
@@stlelevators i'd be that person who would experience about 7% of that frustration and then just give up XD
@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL the newer Dover button micro switch is the same one used in arcade buttons
YES!!! The wiring videos are back!!!!!!
This is some of your best work! Awesome work Dude!
Wow this is so cool!
Thanks! I spent a long time on it.
Very cool I wish I had an impulse panel but I only have a impulse call button
I love this panel a lot, but it’s so big and bulky lol
Awesome job. I also have a section of a Dover panel I am trying to wire up for my son. Any idea what size bulbs go into the buttons?
This is so cool! Great work!
There's a Dover Impulse elevator at my school. Still has the original fixtures. I've ridden on it. Very smooth.
Nice!
Dude that panel is way too cool!

Thanks! This project was very long and tedious, but worth it in the end!
Hi Jason. Love your videos. I am one of your blind viewers. Is it easy to find those Dover and Paul’s panels?
Do you know anywhere where I could find Otis MicroTouch buttons thanks
Where did you get this from and is it in the elevator museum
I’m looking at this panel as I type this comment.
Any parts for dover?? ..for sale??
Nothing for sale. I used the parts for this project.
did you get the light on the alarm to work it normaly has a light
I didn’t put one in
@@stlelevators ahh i see
impulses are one of the most modular elevators i've ever seen with all the movable switches n buttons and spacers and whatnot
They're a pain to work on though.
How did you manage to work on that?
I spent so much time on this..... I ended up wiring it weirdly, so I had to rewire some of it and change my power supply.
Wow so much wiring and that could be dangerous if your not careful this can electrocuted. Amazing Dover impulse
A lot of progress too
It’s all low voltage
There is another Dover/TKE Impulse panel at the elevaTOURS museum
Yes
Anyone know a place to get the floor buttons? I have 2 7 floor dovers.
Are you just looking for button replacements?
@@stlelevators floor button assemblies
@@stlelevators car floor button complete assemblies with lamp
Can you make a video on how to wire a dover traditional floor indicator?
What kind?
STL Elevators the square one.
Is it analog or digital? Analog being a single light per floor and digital being a PI with a circuit board.
STL Elevators analog. I apolgize if i confused you.

Darn!
@@stlelevators I have a Dover impulse panel, would I be able to get the code you used for the arduino to make it work?
@@Supergamer-tx9qf Sorry, I do not share source code.
can you do making working miniature elevator withall of the thanks you wire up to make the panelwork
I've thought about making a small elevator like that before. My only issue is getting the parts made for it.
What's the star for?
The main floor
Are there any websites that sell elevator panels? I would really like one to add to my small (but growing) collection.
Not really
@@stlelevators Okay thank you. My church in Fairview Heights has a 1997 Long Elevator that might get modded from some info I've heard. I hope to get the call button and the panel. Whenever that may happen can you possibly wire it?
How many floors? I’m trying to get ahold of a call station of the square buttons.
@@stlelevators 4 floors. 1, 2E, 2, and 3
@@stlelevators It won't be modded probably for another 2 years.
any chance you will add fire controls
Probably not. 1. It would remove the originality of the panel, and 2. I would have to acquire all the necessary parts to do it right.
Wow! You Actually Did It!
Most exciting elevator in the world
Thanks for wiring one of my favourite buttons again, lol. At least my MT panel is way easier than that thing.
The only reason this thing was so complicated was because of the arduino.
I didn't know Dover panels were so modular!
Yeah they are, but unlike other modular fixtures, these are a HUGE PAIN to work with.
Are you an electrician? You would be really good at it!
I'm not, though it's something I would be interested in doing!
STL Elevators Oh ok! Yeah you seam really good for the job!
For some reason Schindler door buttons do have a light so I think that’s a waste
Great video, I learned a lot!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It basically looks like the one at my church it is a 80s Dover with blue door control labels and has no fire service
Those switches are made by Honeywell and are VERY expensive to buy new ones so be careful with them! It's cool you have them though, everything about this project is cool!
Which ones?
STL Elevators the keys and the original buttons
They’re made by microswitch. Says right on the side.
This is the same exact car station I had at my school before it got modernized into a thyssenkrupp
Even tho where did this panel come from?
I actually don't know where it came from. It was given to me.
@@stlelevators oh, well cool video!
I’d see this being used in a roleplay
Possibly.
If you do get a phone door for it, you should put a little smartphone charging dock in it
That's a cool idea :)
When I saw Dover impulse I didn’t realize that the door close button dosent have a light I thought it has a light and it was a waste
The way the fixtures are designed, adding a light is very easy and doesn’t really involve modifying the part.
@@stlelevators well for Schindler elevator they didn’t remove the light for the door button so that’s a complete waste

i love that
This likely came from a STIRIP MALL in SA
Maybe. I don't remember where it came from.
