Not that it'll make any difference, but City do actually have 1 tier 1 runner up award to their name (1906), but a well presented video. The Non-League play-off final - they did take an impressive following, especially considering they don't get anywhere near filling their 11k stadium, but was probably more in the region of 30-35k when taking into account sponsors, comps and all other hospitality.

Bristol Rovers will forever remind me of what must have been a stand-out edition of the children's documentary series of the 1970s, 'If I Were You', which featured life-swaps between the UK and foreign parts. It had a girl from Bristol and another from somewhere in North Africa - Morocco, as far as I recall - where the North African/Moroccan girl was taken to a game at Eastville. We had signed some players on big long contracts when in the old first division and then got relegated 3 times on the spin the club was in serious trouble Rovers did everything they could to make sure we went bust and tried nicking our Ground for next to nothing! Anyway 8 players tore up their contracts and we were slowed to transfer our assets to a newly formed company (in a loophole that has now been closed)

Well…I’m a Carlisle fan; but if I had to support another club on the basis of clubs with top quality fans, it would be Portsmouth, Bradford City and Bristol Rovers AKA the Gas.
    Size isn’t everything!

You’ve got Arab owners and play in a ground surrounded by someone else’s history singing an anthem that you stole from someone else. You even needed us to give you your nickname. Rovers aren’t a proper club they’re an embarrassment.

Rovers are owned by foriegn investors, play your games in a stadium that you stole surrounded by someone else’s history, can’t fill your tiny ground, sing an anthem that you stole from someone else and even needed City to give you your nickname. Rovers aren’t a ‘proper club’ they’re a poorly supported embarrassment.
