Gequeeef Rc that’s awesome! I’m glad you found us! This is the beginning stages of the build too. But right their such awesome cars. You can get one for pretty cheap so keep lookin
I met a kid that paid almost $200 to have one powder coated. I asked why he didn't paint it and spend the money on something else and he just stared at me with his mouth hanging open.
VERY IMPORTANT... The torque diagram you displayed looked like head bolts. It's not at all correct for the cam/valve cover tightening pattern and the cam/valve cover bolts should only be 7 ft-lbs. Did you use high temp paint? Std paint won't last long on engine parts. It looks nice though. I'll be doing a red wrinkle paint on mine.
@@RatchetWrenches I'm going to have to do this work on my MX-6. Far more difficult with that 6 cyl so I might as well do it allm & paint the heads bronze, & the plenum red. I got the old hook intake as a spare since I really can't use it in Cali. Had a JDM put in & they had to swap the JDM uppr. Thanx for the vid though. Hope that oven cleaner doesn't force that aluminum into super corrode mode.
I own a 95 M edition and that gold should look real good on it. Good job.
Awesome! And thank you 🙏
What grit did you use for sandpaper ❓❓❓
I honestly forget this was so long ago. I'd start with something light and not abbrassive and work your way up if needed!
Ah this is so ameteurish but it was a fun video! I loled at the rust inhibitor "in case it rusts out" on an ALUMINUM valve cover hahahaha
Gold looks Great . Shock to the eyes
Roberto Betancourt thank you! Yeah it’s an eye popper for sure
This man is painting in yeezeys
Lol yeah
Love the gold
Thanks bruk!
Love the gild on blue!
Did it look good still after a year?
We sold the car a while ago but it did hold up fairly well for the time we had it
Keep up the good work, she looks very nice now.

Omg hahah why would you pay that much… it’s such a simple valve cover to paint too 🤣 smh
Night & Day difference is a common expression there? In my home country we say: "there's a difference from sky to land"
Yeah it’s a very common expression here. But interesting I like that one!
Game changer
What brand of gold is that? I can't find any VHT with that colour
Awesome video, man! I need to paint the valve cover on my NB - I'll definitely check out this video again when I do.
Super clean hell yea 🔥🔥👀✅
Thanks dude!

Yeah 50ft lbs would strip out the bolts in a flash.
Wow!
seriously they killed it
i would've done a burnt orange. but the gold has a nice pop to it
i believe ik what color you're reffering to and yes that is cool but we prefered the gold
When’s the turbo coming ?
Not sure yet, but most likely within this month or early June
Nice :)
Appreciate that!
What Grit Sandpaper ?
I forget it's been so long but obviously start off non abrasive and work your way down if need be depending on your valve covers condition!
what gold did you use?
It was a gold rattle can from autozone. I forget the number or name of it though.
I hope you meant 40-50 inch pounds no ft pounds!
Yes lol good catch I didn’t even notice
No mask??
Lmao 50 ft pounds is way too much it’s 7 pounfs
I meant inch pounds which is equal to around 5 ft pounds
Alr
I bet Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner would've cleaned the underside.
It definitely would've!
