- While Bernice waits to see what Braxiatel is planning, she's getting back to her roots - investigating the site of a previously undiscovered civilization. It isn't long however, before she's being pursued through the ruins by an implacable foe.

Freaking Brax creating an entire archaeological complex complete with an indestructible robot just to nab someone. I love him so much. Wish he would appear on the Dr. Who show.
No way! He would sass the Doctor too much, the companions would be confused JSSKHXOWJWJSHS (jk, I think its a pity he never showed up)
I have heard of Irving Braxiatel in passing till I started reading a fanfiction and now I am liking the character and am going to start collecting Bernice Summerfield and Gallifrey audios now
When she says "Ah, you've got to be kidding" and "Please don't be indestructible, please don't be indestructible, please don't be indestructible"
it's entertaining how used to she is of situations like this after travelling with the Doctor
Best lines throughout the episode: "PLEASE don't be indestructible" and "Oh dammit..." I laughed so hard XD These are my favourite audios, I love the Bernice Summerfield adventures :3
I was relistening to all the old adventures and then I had to come back and watch this again! It really was well done! I wish there was a CGI series for all the old stories. It would be epic!

Watching this almost made me think of the old ps1 Tomb Raider games and got me thinking. I'd love a Bernice Video Game. That would be so amazing! But either way Bernice and Brax are honestly the best :)

Really? I remember getting this video and getting excited bc the next Summerfield series was coming out soon, and them saying it was going to end the arc they were on and I was like NO!! haha
Since this is more of a short it seemed very rushed at times. But when it came to the action scenes it was very suspenseful. Would love to see this as a half-hour spot where you can take time to build up to the drama. Good job.
Great to see (and hear) Benny in action! ... but am I the only one disappointed that she says 'dammit" at the end rather than "bugger"?! That's, like, her word!

Forget Ms Song, Mrs Croft or Mr Jones - Summerfield is my favourite Archaelogist and she's as cool as ever! Loved this and it's a great setup for the new series. My only downer? She never said 'Oh goddess' - and it's tradition for her to say it! :P Great work people!
Benny would make such a great CGI TV series! This was a fantastic way to start the new season and well worth the extra wait! I hope to see more of these in the future!

really good animation, it reminds me of a animation style from a film. Amazing. I think big finish and the BBC should to more of these animations, well done.
She became a companion with the 7th Doctor during a short absence of Ace. And Ace came back and resumed her friendship with him. She had tried to kill him off before she changed her mind, though.
This was brilliant, Big Finish need to make more of these.

This is my favorite. Always has been since I found the Four Players. I love the song and I adore the last moment when she becomes invicible. It's a bold choice to give her a music video and it totally pays off. It makes her stand out. I can't even say how much I love this, really.

@@shotgunn3535 Trust me, one day they'll say Big Finish continuity "doesn't exist". They did something similar to STAR WARS and STAR TREK, and it divided the fanbase.
@@maxcardun I know, it's dumb that they do this. I can understand with Star Wars because once Legends happened there was no story to tell. So Disney felt forced into retconning it.

Mainly from his published works from Virgin, Big Finish and the Doctor Who 2006 Annual which introduced the Weeping Angels; the Benny short story The Least Important Man became the basis for The Girl In The Fireplace.

Big Finish needs a development deal with the BBC. They got Derek Jacobi before Russell did over at Dr. Who.

an excellent video and it''s great to SEE a big finish production - however...for a company that is famous for excellent audioplays, the compression on this video of the sound is aweful...could have sacrificed some of the video compression to improve the sound.
Actually I can't remember River does some real archaeology. Except the Library all she really does is stocking the Doctor. How did she get her professor tittle again?

It's really weird just how quiet she is throughout this short.

I personally think the reason is because she does not have to tell us everything that is going on because we can see it.

It almost seemed that the Big Finish were trying to develop Brax into the Master until some changes were applied to the character to expand upon him and make him more unique. Brax as the Master and Brax not as the Master are both perfectly sound notions to me anyway!
