Many Thanks AAA
fine job!!!!
Nice work thank you
SUPERB!!!! WONDERING IF IT MAKES ANY REAL DIFFERENCE WHICH DIRECTION YOU PUT THAT INTERIOR BOLT IN----LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD PIVOT THE SAME REGARDLESS
So since you said your toe was out of wack after installing that camber arm and still eating up your tires and that you were able to fix that situation by adjusting the toe arm.....i was wondering how do you adjust toe on these cars? Or did you end up getting adjustable toe arms also?
Thank you!
Great vid. Is that camber arm already adjustable in stock form? I was wondering what the wing shaped washer was for.
No, unfortunately you can't adjust the stock arm. The curved washer goes between the camber arm and the mounting hole. It's the washer that was originally there.
Hi, great video!! could you possibly tell me what size, length, thread pitch and dimension the bolts were that you bought at Ace hardware stop.. I went to my local Ace and they couldn’t look it up they said by the part number you gave me in the video on the bag? Thank you and any help on the bolt sizes will be appreciated
Sorry, haven't been back to ACE for awhile, I will stop by there soon and try and get those sizes for you.
@@MrMarco6900 yes please if you could that would be a big help.. thank you
Great vid. So your rear susp settup seems basically the same as my 2004 E500. I have bad inner tire wear also as my car is lowered on BC coilovers which increases neg camber even more than stock. Ive been contemplating buying some rear adjustable upper control arms to remedy the issue. But am wondering. How you are able to pivot the top of the wheel hub outward with only the upper adjustable arm installed to reduce neg camber? Doesnt that fixed length side toe arm holding the hub prevent the hub from moving outward at the top when you attempt to lengthen the new upper control arm? Bottom of the hub is fixed in place by the lower control arm and the Toe arm is on the side of the hub. So thats two fixed points. Did you have to install adjustable toe arms also to allow the top of the hub to pivot outwards? Has me scratchin my head. How does this work if only installing the new upper adjustable arm?
Couldn't really tell you, but I was able to get the camber where I wanted it. Later on, my tires were still getting chewed up on the inside edge. My toe was way off but I was able to adjust it.
@@MrMarco6900 Thanx for the fast reply and thanks for the great vid. Excellent and very well done.
👍👍
Hey Mr. Marco! Thanks for this! I was told by the maker of my adjustable arm - F1 Fabrications that installing the OEM bolt in reverse - nut on the opposite side of bolt head, you should be able to get the OEM bolt all the way thru with no issues. I obviously won't be lowering my subframe because your method of cutting the OEM bolt is way easier. However, I want to use new OEM bolt/nut combo when installing my camber arms back on. I'm not comfortable using aftermarket bolts/nuts and prefer to use the a new OEM nut I can guy from the dealer I have a heavily modified SL55 AMG and I don't want to have Ace Hardware bolts failing in the back of my head when I'm on the track. Will the OEM bolt still be too long if I install it in reverse method as suggested by F1 fabrications? Any thoughts?
It's been awhile but I don't believe you can get the original bolt in backwards. It's hard to tell from the video perspective, but the control arm curves back toward you and there is no way you would be able to insert a bolt from the right hand side.
@@MrMarco6900 Thank you for your response. Do all multi tools have the same profile/shape? I ordered a Bosch multi tool since that is my go to brand. It looks so tight in there I hope I'll be able to get the tool in there to cut that darn bolt. Thanks.
I believe all these multi tools are pretty similar, you should have no problem getting the blade in there. I wish I had one of these multi tools long ago. These things are great for a lot of different jobs.
@@MrMarco6900 Did some pre- work look. Since my car is an SL55 - the bolts for this SL are 22mm not 18mm on your SL. I have a couple 22mm wrenches but they are too thick to get in there. I ordered a couple of thin wall 22mm wrenches from Amazon. I got some carbide blades too for my multitool since my bolts are probably much thicker too. I got a 15 inch long vice grip too to hopefully make it easier to grip the cheese head bolt. I may have to figure what size bolts I'll need at Ace when I get the stock ones out. I hope this works because it will save me $1850.00 quoted by my Indi tech for labor alone. WIS I think requires the complete removal of the subframe not just lowering it! That means detaching the driveshalf along with exhaust and shocks too. Oh well, I usually run thru new tires, ever after flipping them around 5K miles because my camber is so bad. Thanks!
Nice video. Think of order some for my s class. How is the tire wear.
Camber is good now, but the toe is way out causing inner tire wear, need to get that adjusted.
Hi MrMarco, can you tell my, were I can buy the cambar arms? Thanks a lot vor your answere. King regards from Switzerland
Look at the description above, click "SHOW MORE" , you will see the part numbers and where you can get the camber arms.
@@MrMarco6900 Perfekt, Thank you very much ;o)
did you change the lower control arm bushings?
No, just the camber arms.
@@MrMarco6900 the bushings on the lower control arm fail and causes camber problems. you have to change them
did the toe go out of wack ?
I haven't measure the toe. I will be getting it measured before I take my big trip soon and I'll report back.

Anyone have a better way of adjusting front camber 05 SL55 with coil overs. I dont think the Bolt kit will be enough adjustment.
