Yea, in Valhalla, motion capture was so rare but every cutscene it was used, were the best parts of the game like Eivor vs Odin or the Basim campfire scene which people consider those the best scenes in the whole series
All of AC odyssey's cutscenes and movements were motion capture you see this due to at some points Alexios and Kassandra's movements are diffrent. Like Alexios makes a slight motion when talking to the cyclops that Kassandra doesn't do. In Valhalla and Mirage motion capture did get used alot less however in AC Odyssey and AC Origins motion capture was used like nearly all the time. And i'm pretty sure Naoe and Yasuke were gonna have motion capture for both their movements and cutscenes not all cutscenes but some cutscenes will be done via motion capture.

I'm expecting it to be an RPG with some stealth elements that are either under cooked or are made very casual and accessible, like how Mirage improved the Valhalla parkour, but still remained very casual and simple
@@Penigale well the gameplay literally showed us that the stealth mechanics are an improvement over what we’ve had in the series previously (going prone, grappling roofs, hiding in shallow water) so nothing to worry about there.
The problem I have with the game is nobunaga relationship with yasuke, at the tail end of yasuke’s story he pointed out the traitor he tried to save nobunaga , so them changing that for a typical bad guy killed by the assassins might rob us from emotionally complex moments between yasuke and the man who saved him and gave him all he had, that’s the first time where I want the canon of ac to change make nobunagas death memorable
You wouldn't think Naoe even exists, as half of the fanbase refuses to acknowledge she exists, and only ever talks about the black samurai I hope Naoe is a Connor Kenway-esque character in regards to personality and characterization, which I think would be very fitting.
Hopefully we’ll see more of the Japanese brotherhood (aside from Naoe) after we were robbed of seeing how the Greece brotherhood could have looked like in odyssey and them taking a backseat in Valhalla, hopefully this time around they’re more front and center. But it’s Ubisoft Quebec so we’ll have to see

Assassin's creed is fictional history, but it also does have historical accuracy in it too, for example Yuske was a real African samurai, and many other Japanese real historical names like it was mentioned in the video.

I think Naoe will be more like Arno in the sense that she only joins the brotherhood as a means of revenge rather then pure dedication to the cause so I don’t think there will be to much of the brotherhood
Since the developers have started talking about shadows I’ve found it very jarring going from mirage where they were very invested in the lore and the creed to in this game completely avoiding talking about it. This is the odyssey team so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s not much involvement with the creed.
Hey Master Assassin, I wanted to know if you could make a video about the activities or modes you would like to see. I heard there wont be any ship battles which is a bummer but i hope Quebec brings back Conquest Battles from Odyssey but overhauled to be better and actually impact the game or story. I would like to see a Brotherhood recruit system, or even some heist missions like in AC unity where you steal stuff from a heavily guarded area. Hand to hand combat tournaments or competitions. These are some of my favourite things to do in AC Games.

As for how it’ll be implemented in Shadows, I’m confident a good amount of it will be retconned for convenience, particularly the lore bits from AC Memories given how old it is However, I don’t think they’ll retcon The Blade of Shao Jun manga, as it was just made a few years ago and is far more popular than AC Memories.
I swear if we’ve had to wait since 2015 to get the Assassin Brotherhood back in a mainline game only to have it be some fractured, divorced, or dysfunctional order and Noae is the lone assassin maintain the presence of the creed in all of Japan ima be mad.

@@Penigale it does matter cause I also speak a bit of French as my 2nd national language and I tell you that sometimes it does matter because look how accurate Unity was made by French then look at shadows in comparison which looks great but there are some mistakes and I think they didn't hire Japanese people to do the writing of the story or design of the setting to get the architecture, season harvest and details like blossom trees correct

There's a difference. Connor's blade was a pivot blade, however, it had a full hilt and a sharp eagle pummel. Naoe's lacks the full hilt and pummel and also uses a strangely small tanto blade.
I get Yasuke is the brute character but I wish we could still assassinate enemies with him. Or parkour with him. Or at least give him an assassins outfit (it can still be bulky but like please give him a hood)

Those are from AC Memories which was a card game started and ended in 2014 that featured Japan as one of the locations along with Mongolia, Caribbeans, America, and Renaissance Italy. Ubisoft never planned an AC Japan before Shadows.

I really don't like how everyone is crying because Yasuke can't be an assassin. What about Bartolomeo d'Alviano in AC2? He is also an assassin and is intended more for open combat. Every member of the Brotherhood can prove their worth, especially after Altair reformed the Order. There are assassins who prefer to sneak, others prefer to fight, others get information and others can simply be contact persons. What I'm trying to say is: Not every assassin sneaks around and there are plenty of other examples in the series. Jacob from Syndicate, Piri Reis from Revelations, La Volpe from AC2 and Brotherhood. I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say and some players just annoy me by crying "I want to be an assassin and sneak" and then be happy that in AC3 you can be a one man army and the combat system is so "awesome".
The issue is a lot more about Ubisoft's misunderstanding and disrespect of history. Besides, in the very example you gave Bartolomeo is an Assassin. So both historically and lore wise it makes more sense for Yasuke to be an Assassin even if stealth isn't the priority. Since the developers have started talking about shadows I’ve found it very jarring going from mirage where they were very invested in the lore and the creed to in this game completely avoiding talking about it. This is the odyssey team so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s not much involvement with the creed.

I wanted to know if you could make a video about the activities or modes you would like to see. I heard there wont be any ship battles which is a bummer but i hope Quebec brings back Conquest Battles from Odyssey but overhauled to be better and actually impact the game or story. I would like to see a Brotherhood recruit system, or even some heist missions like in AC unity where you steal stuff from a heavily guarded area. Hand to hand combat tournaments or competitions. These are some of my favourite things to do in AC Games.
I just want this game to take itself seriously and have a good serious story. But since it’s Ubi Quebec I’m very skeptical that they’ll do that

As for how it’ll be implemented in Shadows, I’m confident a good amount of it will be retconned for convenience, particularly the lore bits from AC Memories given how old it is
However, I don’t think they’ll retcon The Blade of Shao Jun manga, as it was just made a few years ago and is far more popular than AC Memories.
I swear if we’ve had to wait since 2015 to get the Assassin Brotherhood back in a mainline game only to have it be some fractured, divorced, or dysfunctional order and Noae is the lone assassin maintain the presence of the creed in all of Japan ima be mad.
Why did it take so long for ubisoft to make this game ? Having both shinobis and assassin's woudve have been amazing, but im glad there doing it now, better late than never I guess.

They said in the past that samurai’s or ninja games set in the feudal japan is played out and passé, citing that a lot of japanese made games had that setting and they said they wanted to focus on what they know and comfortable with. This was before ghost of tsushima ate their lunch 😂.

@@Penigale it does matter cause I also speak a bit of French as my 2nd national language and I tell you that sometimes it does matter because look how accurate Unity was made by French then look at shadows in comparison which looks great but there are some mistakes and I think they didn't hire Japanese people to do the writing of the story or design of the setting to get the architecture, season harvest and details like blossom trees correct

There's a difference. Connor's blade was a pivot blade, however, it had a full hilt and a sharp eagle pummel. Naoe's lacks the full hilt and pummel and also uses a strangely small tanto blade.

I get Yasuke is the brute character but I wish we could still assassinate enemies with him. Or parkour with him. Or at least give him an assassins outfit (it can still be bulky but like please give him a hood)

Well no they should be called Templars now. The reason they weren't called Templars in the last couple games wa because the knights Templar wasn't a thing until 1118. This game takes place in 1579 so they should be called Templars now.

The problem with this game is that it advertises it as historical fact.
If it had been promoted on the premise that it was a completely fictional story, this wouldn't have been an issue.
Nobunaga freed him from slavery and hired him, but he was not given a surname. If he could fight, why did he not do anything when Nobunaga was killed?
The samurai who found him after the war thought that Yasuke had nothing to do with the battle between the samurai. Therefore, Yasuke was let go and his whereabouts are unknown.
The problems with this game are as follows:

Those are from AC Memories which was a card game started and ended in 2014 that featured Japan as one of the locations along with Mongolia, Caribbeans, America, and Renaissance Italy. Ubisoft never planned an AC Japan before Shadows.

The person also mentioned he worked on this in 2013-14, the exact same time AC Memories was being worked on. In other words, he worked on AC Memories, not some planned AC game in Japan.
It was about as detailed as the Mongolia part of AC memories which also had artworks made for it. So no, it wasn’t that detailed, least not enough to be made into a full title.

I’m not sure if Shadows will be like that. I do remember hearing how Ubisoft wants to use the classic style for some games and other games get the rpg style from the newer games.

I really don't like how everyone is crying because Yasuke can't be an assassin. What about Bartolomeo d'Alviano in AC2? He is also an assassin and is intended more for open combat. Every member of the Brotherhood can prove their worth, especially after Altair reformed the Order. There are assassins who prefer to sneak, others prefer to fight, others get information and others can simply be contact persons. What I'm trying to say is: Not every assassin sneaks around and there are plenty of other examples in the series. Jacob from Syndicate, Piri Reis from Revelations, La Volpe from AC2 and Brotherhood. I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say and some players just annoy me by crying "I want to be an assassin and sneak" and then be happy that in AC3 you can be a one man army and the combat system is so "awesome".
The issue is a lot more about Ubisoft's misunderstanding and disrespect of history. Besides, in the very example you gave Bartolomeo is an Assassin. So both historically and lore wise it makes more sense for Yasuke to be an Assassin even if stealth isn't the priority. Hell, it wouldn't even be a problem if they did that because it's more authentic than.... this.
Naoe is completelly invisible to the woke haters who fuel the Yasuke controversy. Maybe Ubisoft executives were right after all, maybe female protagonists really don't sell... At least not to the woke vocal minority of haters who are offended over Yasuke and so called cultural appropriation.
