OMG it works!!!! I fixed it!!!! Thanks a million for uploading the video!!! You are amazing!!! 💕🙏🏼
Do I have to use whitening strips along with the toothpaste or just the toothpaste?
We used to do this to CDs, DVDs, Blus, and disc games back in the day when they were scratched.
Love the video man... but the background music almost put me to sleep
Lucas Mariani Almost? It put me in a 3 day coma
Lucas Mariani I was trying to figure out what kind of jungle animal noises I was listening to in the background.
He didn't floss though

Thank-you so much. I Cr 13:8a, Love never fails !
Good stuff Alvin!!!
Baking soda would do the same thing I would say just add a little baking soda
How you use the baking soda?
ya did a purty good job there, bud. i'll have to try that on my 2001 Dodge diesel pickup. thankya for sharing
Rodney Leonard dude dnt do this to ur truck!
+Jesterwonder01 Why not there, bud? What's wrong?
I haven't done anything yet with the plastic headlight lenses. Just ain't had time. So what would be the problem?
Jesterwonder01 of i
Jesterwonder01 uy of
@@Jesterwonder01 It's just toothpaste....
You need toothpaste with bicarbonate of soda and it works 👌🏼
baking soda?
Nice video but would be better with high volume.
thanks
nicely done mate.
After initial cleaning- please try a high SPF suntan lotion to seal and protect. Ones with cocoa butter and coconut scented are my favorite. Let dry 1 hour before wiping.
Ive heard of this many times but never tried it, today I did as I have mot test coming up and foggy lights can fail it.
It worked surprisingly well at first, the difference between before and after was big, but after the lenses dried of a little they weren't as clear but still better than before cleaning.
Your supposed to do it repeatedly also wax
Bed time music with head light lol
I could see you working hard on it but cant see any significant improvement in 'clearness' of the plastic surface.
A paper towel is the worst thing to use on headlights as it leaves behind scratches in the plastic. Use a terrycloth rag for best shine.
For you which is better toothpaste or rubbing compound? Please reply asap.
I’ve tried this and it didn’t seem to work.
Bliss Huthart just did it worked for me
It doesn't work it makes it foggier
Didn't know Alvin and the Chipmunks did DIY videos. Anyone have a universal translator?
"Micro fibre cloit" .
Micro fibre clit
At about 5:29 he stepped on the cats tail.
Lol...it was actually a parrot.
Mine looks all foggy now why
Use more water
i didnt saw a change in your headlights
just as easy to use Tcut...
Armor All also works...believe it or not...buff it till it shines...
use a brush or something to clean
if this works i will subscribe
WHAT??? I can't hear you mate!!
Sorry about that, The stock audio in my camera is really bad,
Some are worst then others and that headlight wasn’t that bad in the first place
The background music is nauseating
I tried this and it didn't work
Jessica Esp your car probably has glass headlights
Music is a nuisance, also nearly quarter of the video gone , yapping" before any action, how these people like to hear themselves talking.
no it doesn't work.
Stop talking and just put it on
I used toothpaste & it didn't do anything, but my headlights were far worse looking than yours. I even tried leaving the toothpaste on for a while, still nothing!
First make sure, the oxidation is on the outside of the headlight. because if it, is natural discoloration of the plastic from inside, then this method won't work. If it is outside like mine, and the toothpaste doesn't take em off, then try this, this will definitely work ruclips.net/video/tFEnsKjv2Og/видео.html
Thanks for the help. As I said, mine are really bad & I'm afraid won't pass inspection anymore.
12hhh
No wonder people that do this with their tooth paste breath stank
You guys talk too much just do the work
Sure i will next time :)
@@JunkyDIYguy No don't listen to this wiseass and don't do that next time...
You are very informative.. Keep talking...
I enjoy the talking.
get rid of the music
THIS FUCKING BACKGROUND MUSIC. YES I AM YELLING SO YOU WAKE UP READING THIS COMMENT. DON'T WANT YOU FALLING ASLEEP TO THE SAME GOD DAMN MUSIC EVERYONE USES. :)
This day toothpaste treats and restore machines that's a lie
Does this work on all males and models ?
So... The secret was too use water?
I just put the toothpaste on and left it there.
No wonder it didn't work.
Thanks!
Boom King bahaha
Is that what you do when you brush your teeth
Alphonso DeVante 😂😂😂
If that whitening toothpaste could remove that yellowing effect on your headlight, just imagined what it does to your teeth and enamel😂
Not all toothpaste will work. Colgate works well. Those with baking soda and peroxide works extreme well. Green gel will not work.
Please polish in circular movements
this video is true i tryed and it works wooooo
Cheap manufacturing is the root cause of the problem.
Has anybody realized this is the same stuff that we clean our teeth (or mouths ) with ?
Tyser Hicks w
No I didn't realise you would use toothpaste for your teeth. You are a genius
Floride...Go figure.
No way, that's crazy bro!
I used maccleans normal toothpaste and papertowels on my old pathfinder. Worked a treat.
For temporary results wd40 works too.
I think the key is to ceramic coat the lenses after polishing. Preferably a double coat.
I've tried. No joy, just bullshit. Better to buy REAL headlamp cleaner. Stop wasting your toothpaste. It may clean up the dirt, but not removing the scrathches.
All the toothpaste does is hold the grit on, like baking soda, or if it is already in the toothpaste.
@Junky DIY guy very nice video, But I just want to know when I use toothpaste how many time it will be stay very clean.
Make sure you wax after cleaning with toothpaste. That’s the trick to keep the headlight lens shiny and clear.
I Love You😢.
Cool
thanks
Keep your hand out of the video.
At least your headlights won't get any cavities!
Headlights don't ever get cavities, they aren't teeth.
Tooth paste works on teeth nicely but its abrasive qualities will damage and remove the protective UV layer on the average plastic headlight.
This is a old shade tree mechanic trick that has long been proven damaging to the surface of the lens the safest fastest method is an acrylic lens deoxidizer
you should a turned the music up full blast and whispered you dork
Before applying wax I would mask around the Lens and then spray the lens twice "4~8 hours apart as per recommended for the paint" with a UV Resistant can of Clear Spray Paint, So that there wont be a need to resurface them ever again, unless you intend to keep the car for longer than 5~7 years..
