Belknap Mountain Road in Belmont and Gilford NH. This road has been Forgotten and abandon for nearly 100 years. in 1990 the town of Gilford redesignated it as Class 6. a sign on the Gilford end declares it open to local traffic. There are several snowmobile trails that cross this and are off limits to wheeled vehicles at all times. if you explore this road please respect that signage. There is also a hiking trail up into the Belknap Mountain range as well that splits off of this road. I did my best to hide faces of hikers when i came out the other end. This road does not even show up on the Gaia app. Its Rough. it gets pretty rugged once you start going down hill into Gilford and one place you need to use a bypass (that is within the stone walls)
