Literally just watched the first video and was so happy to see an update posted so recently .Did not know you could propogate this plant so i am excited to try and see that it has worked for you.
This is actually so exciting! I'm getting ready to prune mine, it is too tall, and I'm a bit nervous. Your tree looks great! I had watched the first video a while back, this is a great update!
Thanks for sharing your experience with Fiddle LEAF Fig plant. Can you let me know what is the soil media for repotting and also for planting rooted cuttings into soil. Thanks
I love the fiddle leaf fig! I had a large thin tree like one a few months ago and I cut it into three parts. Pottet the two cuts together and I now have two full fiddle leaf fig trees 😍👏🏻 These are so easy and so beautiful (and underrated!!) how are you potting up the propogations? Would love to see that too😄
I agree with them being easy. The only things they need are BRIGHT light and well draining soil. I wasn't going to make a video on that, but if there is interest (clearly from you lol) I will definitively make one!
Hi Jeff, thanks for the update, your plant is very lovely. Do you have any updates on the fiddle leaf bambino, which you mentioned in the first video you were going to prune? Also, what is that row of columnar plants at the rear of your yard against the fence? Love them. Thanks?
Hello Jeff, Can you shed some light on what is earth medicine microbial fertilizer you mentioned @3.55 mark. Do share the product link if possible.Thank you
Hello Munish. I'll leave the link below. Apparently these microbs are good for soil health. Every water propagation that I have put these in really seem to help with development. The company themselves might be able to better explain their product.....they are very responsive on Instagram www.earthmedicineusa.com/
The top leaves of my fiddle leaf always get brown spots and die. I take them off, and more grow, and in time the same thing happens. Anyway, yours is beautiful and healthy. 🌱
What did you use in the prop cup for fertilizer? I may need some 😬 I've got a chopped adansonii in one champagne flute and a chopped pothos in the other 🤣 I know they're going to root but fast would be nice 😬🤷🏼♀️ My fiddle is getting leaves 12 and 13 right now for the season. I pinched it about a month ago and that hasn't grown anything at all yet but I'm thinking the plant is too busy focusing it's energy on the leaves. I have 5 growth points (4 active) so I'm in no hurry. I only pinched BC the bud had been severely shriveled and dead looking... Your Google is going to look great! Mine is only about 3 feet right now and pretty bushy and I'm thinking I'll leave it until it looks funny 🤣
I used Earth Medicine fertilizer....here is the website. www.earthmedicineusa.com/ As for the adansonii....I would stick those in a perlite prop box to root. I guarantee they will root in there.
@@EverythingPlants thanks! So far I've had zero losses with the champagne flute method 🤣 I am starting to wonder if something in Crystal gives them what they need! I have used little crystal shot glasses for tiny plants as well. I don't drink but inherited these things so figured my props could be pretty 🤷🏼♀️ why anyone needs crystal shot glasses is beyond me, but they certainly look nicer than solo cups 😂
Hey Bryndon. I usually jist top mine up as the water levels decrease. If the water is starting to look dirty then I'll change it out otherwise just top it up. That's all I do
I've no luck with Fiddle Leaf Figs. I've had about two or three plants. I couldn't keep them alive, so I figured that this plant isn't a plant for me!!
Jeff, 🇨🇦 the fiddle leaf figs are so lovely. Wow, 😲, the propagations did amazing. Nice to see.
Thanks so much
@@EverythingPlants Jeff, it makes me want to get a fiddle leaf fig plant and try to propagate it. 😊🤗🦋🐛🌄

Best FLF propagation video I’ve seen. You made it look easy. So I chopped mine up a little.
🍀
Thanks so much Penny!!!

That isn't calcium. That is produced by the plant and its the start of roots.
That's why you can see so much of it where the roots have set.
Yes...the roots sprout from those areas!

The bambino got spider mites pretty bad....
The trees at the back are parkland pillar birch trees and I love them lol

Hey Jeff, love your videos. Can I put my FLF pathetic stem in perlite to encourage roots?
Hey Mary! I have never tried the FLF but you could definitely give it a try....what do you have to lose if it's not doing well right now!
Thanks for your quick response. I’ll let you know the outcome. Keep your fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Is it getting enough water and fertilizer when it is actively growing? Enough light?
I think so
Hey Jeff, do you go out in the yard & play with the flowers?
YES, I love being outside in the summer!!!

Do you change the water? How often?

What happened with yours Beverly? There are 3 rules to a Fiddle Leaf Fig...lots of light, good draining soil and DONT LOOK AT IT 🤣 (or it will die)

Thanks!

Still waiting for you to give me some feckin plants
🤷
I have one on my wish list Jeff, so these videos are helpful for future reference

Would a care video for this be helpful too? I don't think I've made a more recent one
@@EverythingPlants yes thanks Jeff that’d be very good Thankyou . 👍
@@EverythingPlants yes thanks Jeff. I’m still on the learning curve with indoors. 🧑🌾🪴
I don’t have a Fiddle Leaf Fig. Too big for my apartment but thanks for the video. 💚🌿🌱🪴💚
Have you seen the smaller bambino FLF....designed specifically for small spaces but with the same gorgeous leaves.
@@EverythingPlants No I never heard of it. Thanks.
