Pink Floyd is special to me, because they've always been in heavy rotation. I'm like Pete; my tastes have broadened over the decades. Certain bands have been more appreciated lately while others have fallen out of favor. But not Pink Floyd. Listening to their music always leads to discovery, the subtleties and layers and nuances are endless. Great video, guys. 🤘
One of These Days scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Now it just blows me away. It absolutely does not sound like 1971. It's at least a decade ahead of its time
What I love about Floyd is that they did what they did in a unique, creative, imaginative, non commercial , show off musician way that turned out to resonate in such colorful , interesting, touching ways time and time again
My daughters have listened to that sequence of notes (and all the following music) since they were in car seats as babies. They are now 9 and 11, and they LOVE that song. I always laugh when I hear all the girls (4th and 5th graders at their school) talk about music they like, and when my daughters say "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", the looks of confusion on all their faces are awesome.
In no particular order: 1. Echoes 2. A Saucerful of Secrets 3. Green is the Colour 4. Us and Them 5. Shine on You Crazy Diamond 6. Wot's...uh...the Deal 7. Remember a Day 8. A Pillow of Winds 9. Wish You Were Here 10. Comfortably Numb
@@cmbestkey8114 It sure is. The thing I love about that one in particular is all the bootlegs capturing it, with it sounding radically different even from one night to the next.

Pink Floyd is The band that connects Prog, Rock and Psychedelic Music and makes it enjoyable for the masses. At least if you look at the Albums from the seventies thats true. They are not as proggy and difficult to listen to as Rush or Genisis and are not as simple as the Stones or AC DC for example. I think that is the reason, why so many People love the Band. On top of that they write lyrics that can touch anyone and are timeless, as you already said in the Video. And Dave and Rick are able to write timeless melodies and Solos that are simple and easy to remember but great!!! Pink Floyd is the perfect mix of everything! My list: 1. Shine on (all parts) 2. Time 3. Pigs (three different ones) 4. Astronomy Domine 5. One of These days 6. Echoes 7. On the turning away 8. have a cigar 9. Comfortably numb 10. Money
Whew another tough one my list would change constantly 1. Echoes 2 Dogs 3 Shine on you crazy diamond 4 Time 5 US and Them 6 Sheep 7 One of these days 8 Money 9 Careful with the axe Eugene 10 Hey You
I feel for you guys taking on a sacred cow like the Floyd. No matter what you say you're going to get lynched. So I'll just say cheers, I enjoyed your conversation about one of my favorite bands. Peace. The Floyd's lyrics are timeless and they experimented with music and when it worked it was great. Robbie krieger said Jim Morrison told him "when you write lyrics, write about universal themes that will remain the same a hundred years from now". That is what Pink Floyd did and they are still universal and always will be. IMHO
I like Pink Floyd because they are an experimental band that was always willing to try new ideas. Really enjoy listening and discovering each release from them. It's like going on a journey.
Great vid guys! My top 10 is absolutely always ever changing but I'd say... 1. Us & Them 2. Dogs 3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (whole thing) 4. Echoes (especially pompeii version) 5. Marooned 6. Sorrow 7. Comfortably Numb 8. High Hopes 9. Eclipse 10. Fearless
1. Dogs 2. Brain Damage/Eclipse 3. Echoes 4. Shine on You Crazy Diamond 5. In The Flesh? 6. Interstellar Overdrive 7. One of These Days 8. The Final Cut 9. Sheep 10. Wish You Were Here

1 Pigs (3 Different Ones) 2 Great Gig In The Sky 3 Echoes 4 Shine On You Crazy Diamond 6-9 5 Us and Them 6 Mudmen 7 Alan's Psychadelic Breakfast 8 Remember A Day 9 Cymbaline 10 Careful With That Axe (Ummagumma) Just after listening for so long, these are the ones that are just above and beyond for me and I find myself re-listening to.
I’m a drummer and singer in a PF tribute band out of Connecticut. I’ve studied Floyd’s music for decades and it’s safe to say that they’re my all-time fave band: 1. Breathe (In The Air) 2. Dogs 3. Shine On (part 8, “the groove jam”) 4. The Narrow Way (part 3) 5. Cirrus Minor 6. Green Is The Color 7. Astronomy Domine 8. Careful With That Axe, Eugene 9. Nobody Home 10. Childhood’s End 11. The Nile Song
way back in the mid 70´s I was listening to a radio station and they were playing all their tunes throughout one night. I was about 13 or 14 then and those masterpieces settled down in my head and in my heart. shortly afterwards I started buying some of their records and since then I´m an absolutely great fan. my top picks are: Echoes; Comfortably Numb; Grantchester Meadows; Fat Old Sun; Pigs (three different ones); Corporal Clegg; Wish You Were Here; Brain Damage; The Narrow Way; Time and lots of more fantastic songs.
Man... This band made me change the way I see the world, especially Time... 1 - Time 2 - Comfortably Numb at Pulse 3 - Mother 4 - Us and Them 5 - Dogs 6 - Echoes 7 - Sheep 8 - The Show Must Go on 9 - Shine on... 10 - On the Inside Out
Pink Floyd is my favourite band. I have seen Roger for the 30th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon tour and more recently his tour for The Wall. Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980-81 is my all-time favourite album. The reason Pink Floyd music resonates with me is, apart from the tunes, the lyrics touch me o0n a deep level. The feelings of isolation and mental illness are things I can relate to on a personal level.
Great job guys, very enjoyable to watch 2 knowledgable passionate music enthusiasts discuss and share stories of their favorite songs from one of their favorite groups.
1. Dogs 2. Time 3. Shine On 1/9 4. Echoes 5. Brick2 6. Numb 7. Breathe 8. Great Gig 9. Welcome to the Machine 10. One of These Days. Celestial Voices and Sheep....honorable mention. I play in a Floyd Tribute, these get great response.
The Syd era (Pipers deserve something love)....for me it’s “Arnold Layne”, “The Scarecrow”, “See Emily Play” and “Lucifer Sam”. English Psychedelia...it evokes Lewis Carroll. A time when things were trippy in a gentle and playful way.
I agree. Piper was a good album. It was certainly better than "Obscurred by Clouds" and "Ummagumma". I just never could get into those two. I think "Obscurred" would have been better if it didn't have "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" on it.
10) I'm a King Bee 9) The Nile Song 8) Goodbye Blue Sky 7) Us and Them 6)Coming Back to Life 5) Poles Apart 4) Learning to Fly 3) Wish You Were Here 2) Mother 1) Fearless
I think Mike likes Dark Side!!! So do I, and for many of the same reasons. This was a great show. I always love to hear Mike talk - he’s a sophisticated thinker with great human warmth. He was wonderful here. His top 10 was exactly the same as mine...and that’s got to be a first!
1. Dogs 2. The Nile Song 3. Bike 4. Great Gig In the Sky 5. Comfortably Numb 6. Young Lust 7. One of These Days 8. Arnold Layne 9. On the Turning Away 10. Fearless
Long-time Floyd fan here. I was into them before Dark Side. Ummagumma was my introduction to them and is still my favorite PF album, especially the live disk. Items from my top 10 that did not make either list of yours: Wots uh the Deal (Obscured by Clouds is an underrated album, so is the Final Cut.). Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, from Atom Heart Mother. (love the sound effects and mellow instrumental interludes). The Narrow Way and A Saucerful of Secrets, from Ummagumma. (Peak Psychedelia). Speaking of Animals, saw them live in the summer of 75, doing the early versions of Sheep and Dogs, then titled Raving and Drooling, and Gotta Be Crazy. Excellent! better than what showed up later on the Animals album. a lot heavier.
Wot's uh the Deal is a beautiful song. Gilmour's performance of it from Live at Gdansk is stunning! Well worth a few minutes of anyone's time. ruclips.net/video/itxVfQ1MZOo/видео.html
I'm going in opposite order! (P.S. Obscured by Clouds was before Dark Side!) 10. Two Suns in the Sunset (I LOVE FINAL CUT) 9. Childhood's End (Obscured by Clouds) 8. One of These Days 7. Alans Psychedelic Breakfast 6. Country Song (from Zabrieskie Point) 5. Grandchester Meadows (Umma Gumma) 4. Embryo (The Peel session version) 3. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (Pompeii Version) 2. Green is the Colour 1. Breathe
Firstly, I love every era of Pink Floyd but I'm a big fan of the Syd Barret era and early era. I would have mentioned stuff like "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" and "Take up Thy Stethoscope and Walk" and their singles like "See Emily Play" and "Arnold Layne" I listen to a lot of different genres and styles of music, so it's hard for me to pinpoint what exactly makes me like a band. The characteristic that I look for the most is originality, I like bands that do different things and have their own distinct sounds, something Floyd definitely does. I like a lot of other bands that are just different and don't sound like anyone else, some of my favorites being Primus, Supertramp, Cream, etc. There are a lot of bands that may be good musicians and maybe even good songwriters, but if they're just rehashing something old, what's the point?
Pink Floyd are a remarkably unique band. There is hardly anything more immersive to listen to than a Pink Floyd album. Putting a top 10 together was somewhat difficult because they have a vast array of great songs, but here it is: 1. Comfortably Numb (Pulse) 2. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 3. Time 4. Dogs 5. Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast 6. Breathe (In The Air) 7. High Hopes 8. Pigs (Three Different Ones) 9. Echoes 10. Flaming
1) Shine on you crazy diamond 2) Time 3) Echoes 4) Another brick in the wall (part 2) 5) Any colour you like 6) Comfortably Numb 7) Learning to fly 8) Marooned 9) One of these days 10) Hey you Keep in mind that this is Pink Floyd we're talking about. The best band of all time. So there are many PF songs not included on this list that are just majestic and way way better than anything produced by most other bands
Great shoe guys, very interesting to watch. My top 10: 10. Echoes 9. Free Four 8. Dogs 7. Wish you were here 6. Shine on you crazy Diamond 5. Money 4. Time 3. Breathe 2. Any colour you like 1. The great gig in the sky. Like the band a lot because, their music is great. Their Lyrics are meaningful. And they always emotionally moving.
Peter, really difficult since they do many great well known and obscure songs, the early classics Astronomy Domine, etc and the Echoes and then the whole Animas album, my favorite of all time!
My top 10 : 1. Dogs 2. Time 3. Terminal Frost 4. Pigs (Three Different Ones) 5. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Part 1-9) 6. One Of These Days 7. Wish You Were Here 8. On The Turning Away 9. Sheep 10. Echoes
Great video, Pete! I enjoy listening to you and Mike discuss the songs (as you both also did on the top Alice Cooper tracks vid) because you guys break down your views with a decent analysis to give us some insight into the whys and whats behind your decisions on choice. To answer the question of why any of us like Pink Floyd, I've always liked that they sounded like no one else around . . . period. They were blues, they were prog, they were rock, they were psychedelic; they were original. Whether led by Syd or Roger or Dave, Floyd were a band that I could listen to when I was down and out, and always come out on the other side unscathed. Besides that, I got happily drunk to their tunes as well! In my top ten list, I cheated somewhat because I've got "Brain Damage/Eclipse" as one suite because, well, they were a continuous piece anyway. With that being said: 1 Dark Side of the Moon Suite (Brain Damage/Eclipse) 2 Shine On You Crazy Diamond (complete) 3 Wish You Were Here 4 The Narrow Way Pt 3 5 The Gunner's Dream 6 On the Turning Away 7 One of These Days 8 Us and Them 9 Learning to Fly 10 Lucifer Sam As always, thank you for your time and effort to bring us these videos (the same to you as well Mike!)
As a Pink Floyd fanatic and a lover of Gilmour's emotional soaring guitar,Nick Mason's complicated fills, and mostly,he had to put up with chord changes, sudden tempo highs and lows and did it effortlessly,Rick Wright, had the pleasure of meeting Rick at a rock mag launch in London, and what an intelligent, warm old fashioned English gentleman he was too,i cannot disagree with either list and i could easily add another 20 authentic masterpieces, but thats Floyd, the thinking mans band. Live performances (the obvious Pulse and Pompeii concerts to the fore) would feature heavily in any list of mine.I have a great quality bootleg from an early gig in holland and would include Set The Controls from that show. So much material, what a band,STILL educating me all these years later.
1. Fearless 2. Green is the Colour 3. Fat Old Sun 4. One of these Days 5. Wish you were here 6. Welcome to the Machine 7. Nile Song 8. Astronomy Domine 9. Interstellar Overdrive 10. A Saucerful of Secrets/Celestial Voices
I'm amazed to see Fearless at the top of so many lists. I always thought I was the only one who thought so highly of that track. Nice to see I was wrong.
Tom Boston Its a beautiful, inspirational song that wasn’t killed by Classic Rock radio. There’s a scene in Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some that describes the song perfectly
My top ten 1.Shine on you crazy diamond p 1-6 2.Pigs 3.Comfortably Numb 4.Dogs 5.Time 6.Have a cigar 7.Breathe 8.Echoes 9.Set the control for the hearth of the sun 10.High hopes
1-Time 2-Comfortably Numb 3-Wish you were here 4-Shine On You crazy diamond 5-Waiting for the worms 6-Sorrow 7-Echoes 8-One of these days 9-Hey You 10-Another Brick in the wall part 2
Pete what a beautiful surprise seeing this video today and phenomenal discussion. Nothing less than almost an hour discussion would have sufficed! Pink Floyd along with BOC is a band I beyond love. Floyd took you on a surreal and spiritual journey. Pete I was always surprised Floyd didn't make your top 30. You're such a deep thinker and lover of sophisticated and ethereal music.
10: Marooned 9: Atom Heart Mother 8: Time 7: Hey You! 6: Echoes 5: Dogs 4: The Great Gig in the Sky 3: Us and Them 2: Welcome to the Machine 1: Comfortably Numb

Great video Pete! You can tell you guys really mean it, you both dig really deep. You hit the nail on the head about the unique nature of Pink Floyd, very meaningful thought provoking lyrics teamed with amazing music, you cant lose. Animals is also my favorite, they were on fire on that record . A lot of that record was written prior to Wish you were here!

To answer your question of why is Pink Floyd so important and why do they continue to mean so much to so many people - I think The Wall is actually the best example why. It's a concept album where the central character (some of it based on Waters' life experiences) has clearly done too much compartmentalizing, particularly of issues and tragedies from his childhood, and in spite of all the fame, money and women he has available it means nothing compared to the trauma he's been suppressing and that is taking its toll. The Wall is such a courageous record. Not too many other musicians would put so much effort into depicting "some mad bugger's wall". But The Wall worked, because it was original, thought-provoking and had resonance. Fans appreciated the brutal honesty and quirkiness of everything going on in the concept. If you lost a parent at a young age or early in life as I did, this record can be very profound and challenging as you are absorbing it. Once I reached adulthood and was at an age where Pink Floyd started to click with me (hearing Dogs in college was the initial catalyst), I never needed any drugs to get into Pink Floyd's music. The previous reservations I had about Pink Floyd being too slow-paced eventually fell by the wayside. The storytelling aspect Mike talks about in the video starts to matter more. My soul was aching and my mind was open, so Pink Floyd hit me right in the heart.
Clare Torry. she got a session fee of about £50 apparently (roughly $80 at the time) but got her just dues years later with a sizeable settlement. Thoroughly deserved. Imagine having THAT performance on your CV though.
When I saw Brit Floyd in concert, the woman singing Clare Torry's part was even more incredible than the original. She had the entire audience on their feet. Pretty amazing to see something that already sends chills down my spine be even better than the incredible original.
As more of a casual Pink Floyd fan, I really enjoyed Mike Antonelli's insights about what makes the band meaningful to him. Always look forward to his guest appearances.
Love Pink Floyd, it is the classic prog rock band, the first prog rock band I heard! Here's my opinion! 10. Run Like Hell 9. Time 8. High Hopes 7. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 6. Money 5. Echoes 4. Sheep 3. Wish You Were Here 2. Dogs HM: Fearless, The Great Gig In The Sky, Mother, Learning To Fly, Keep Talking. 1. Pigs (Three Different Ones)
OK, I’m going to have a go. I love ‘The Final Cut’, by the way, so it features. 1. ‘Comfortably Numb’ 2. ‘Sheep’ 3. ‘Paranoid Eyes’ 4. ‘Set The Controls For the Heart of the Sun’ 5. ‘See Emily Play’ 6. ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ 7. ‘Dogs’ 8. ‘Us and Them’ 9. ‘The Fletcher Memorial Home’ 10. ‘Arnold Layne’

Why I love Pink Floyd? They bring something very unique. I am a bit younger so I had no clue who or what Pink Floyd was (Which one is Pink?). When I started to discover them I thought they were gonna be like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC or Alice Cooper. But they are very low-key, don't always have chorus, have many long songs.. I didn't get it. This is one of the best bands of all time I thought? Sounds like a weird undergrund band with like hundred fans are their shows. But I kept on listening. Started to enjoy a song here or there. While many seem do disregard the later day Pink Floyd without Roger Waters I found plenty songs in those albums more easily accessable than their late 60's and 70's music. Today I enjoy much of their body of work. Now I think Pink Floyds music offers something other bands doesn't. You could think a band like Genesis would offer something similar (as great as they were/are) but they sort of don't to me. Pink Floyd is often the band I lean against when not much else music seems to work. I think Pink Floyd touches some basic feeling in many of us that others seem to miss or doesn't even know exists.
Fantastic and entertaining discussion! :) Here is my Top 10 list for the time being: 1. Comfortably Numb (The Wall) 2. Time (Dark Side of the Moon) 3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Wish You Were Here) 4. Brain Damage/Eclipse (Dark Side of the Moon) 5. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (Saucerful of Secrets) 6. Fearless (Meddle) 7. Astronomy Domine (Piper at the Gates of Dawn) 8. Free Four (Obscured by Clouds) 9. The Nile Song (More) 10. Pigs [The Different Ones] (Animals) "Is There Anybody Out There?" and "Nobody Home" from The Wall should be on my top 10, but I was trying to be inclusive of many of their albums. "Biding My Time" from Relics could also be on my top ten, depending on the day. A forgotten tune and an underrated tune. Nick Mason pulls off Bonham-like drums on it, magnificent! "If" from Atom Heart Mother is also one that could easily be on my ever-changing top ten! "Embryo" from the "Works" compilation is also great! So many honorable mentions, hard to know where to begin! ;)
tough one...but....on this day at this moment.... 1.cymbaline (more) 2.the final cut (the final cut) 3.dogs (animals) 4.welcome to the machine (wish you were here) 5.the great gig in the sky (the dark side of the moon) 6.ebb and flow (the endless river) 7.mother (the wall) 8.echoes (meddle) 9.the fletcher memorial home (the final cut) 10.jug band blues (a saucerful of secrets) too many honorable mentions to name...and so many of the 'albums' are of one-piece so it almost seems too difficult to separate them into individual songs...nevertheless...here they are...for better or worse...peace pardo....

Left field choice to add to the mix. "Careful with that Axe, Eugene", live in Brighton version. A slow, spooky buildup, Roger is squealing the sound of an axe slicing through the air, meanwhile slumping out a sinuous bass line, all the while the psychopath is sliding up the darkened path, then a monumental upchange when Nick smashes on the drums and the lights come on, then Dave slices into one of his most vicious, brutal shreds for a few minutes. Monumental.
I like Pink Floyd because, to me, they've always been in a class of their own. Like even with their early psychedelic stuff, it still didn't sound like anything anyone else was putting out at the time, or at least not the more famous ones - like maybe some other obscure band out there did similar stuff, but since they never made it as big as Floyd, we'll never remember them. As for the rest of their stuff, what can it even be classified as? Prog, it doesn't sound like any of the other prog bands at the time. I guess maybe because they did concept albums and rock operas maybe? I've also heard it called space rock, but again, who else was doing it so well? So I say it should be called Pink Floyd rock.
One of the greatest bands ever! 1. Dogs - Animals 2. Atom Heart Mother 3. Us & Them - DSOTM 4. Learning to Fly 5. Have a Cigar - WYWH 6. Comfortably Numb - Great solos 7. Welcome to the Machine - WYWH 8. Echoes - Meddle 9. Money - DSOTM 10. High Hopes - Divison Bell

I can't believe I'm gonna be 47 in a few days and I just bought my first copy of Dark Side a few days ago. And I have had tens of thousands of LPs , CDs and cassettes pass through my hands. I always regarded it as "stoner rock". Oh my what an experience! I suppose everybody knows what they were doing the first time they sat through that album in it's entirety.

Mr. Pardo, your beer looks so tasty....that being said, thank you for doing this top 10. Finally Pink Floyd gets some love. Love your channel and your knowledge.
1. Wish You Were Here 2. Time 3. Pigs (Three Different Ones) 4. Comfortably Numb 5. Echoes 6. Hey You 7. Money 8. Run Like Hell 9. Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pt. 1 10. Us And Them
Lyrically, I think High Hopes from Division Bell ranks with the best of Roger Waters at describing melancholy feelings of times gone by. Definitely in my top 10, just for Gilmour's closing solo - brings a tear to my eye to this day.
You might not instantly fall in love with this band, but once you like them they will stay with you for a long time
Pink Floyd is special to me, because they've always been in heavy rotation. I'm like Pete; my tastes have broadened over the decades. Certain bands have been more appreciated lately while others have fallen out of favor. But not Pink Floyd. Listening to their music always leads to discovery, the subtleties and layers and nuances are endless. Great video, guys. 🤘
Yep agree. You can listen to those same songs again and again and you will always still love them. The best band
"One Of These Days"....... play it in the dark and play it LOUD!
One of These Days scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Now it just blows me away. It absolutely does not sound like 1971. It's at least a decade ahead of its time
This is one of my fave episodes, love Mike's passion explaining why he loves each song and the band
What I love about Floyd is that they did what they did in a unique, creative, imaginative, non commercial , show off musician way that turned out to resonate in such colorful , interesting, touching ways time and time again
that 4 chord intro to Shine On... STILL gives me chills, and I've heard it 32,734 times.
@@davidb4618 you are a good parent, keep up the good work fella.

*A pillow of winds. Underrated 100%
Saucerful (Song) is under appreciated, good job
@@cmbestkey8114 It sure is.
The thing I love about that one in particular is all the bootlegs capturing it, with it sounding radically different even from one night to the next.
That's a very well-rounded list. Good to see More and Obscured By Clouds represented.

I think Brain Damage and Us and Them are so much better than Wish You Were Here or High Hopes.
My list:
1. Shine on (all parts)
2. Time
3. Pigs (three different ones)

Most fun band to listen to their full discography
Animals is the best Pink Floyd Album.
I think that and Dark Side. Wish you were here a close second.
The Wall in areas is absolutely genius and deserves super creative praise.
Michael Fishman That and ‘The Final Cut’.
i beg to differ.
There can be no "best" Pink Floyd album, only different era's.

I’m a drummer and singer in a PF tribute band out of Connecticut. I’ve studied Floyd’s music for decades and it’s safe to say that they’re my all-time fave band:
1. Breathe (In The Air)
2. Dogs
3. Shine On (part 8, “the groove jam”)
4. The Narrow Way (part 3)
5. Cirrus Minor
6. Green Is The Color
7. Astronomy Domine
8. Careful With That Axe, Eugene
9. Nobody Home
10. Childhood’s End

Pushing 60 !!!! . Youngsters !!!! Good Job Mr. PARDO and Company
Ever heard of the tribute band *pink tones* from Spain??
Great tribute band.
I have and they are.
Those are four of my favourite Syd Barrett tunes too. I also love 'Jugband Blues' from their second album.
And of course Bike
My favourite Syd Barrett tune would have to be Flaming, just a perfect psychedelic piece.

I'm going in opposite order! (P.S. Obscured by Clouds was before Dark Side!)
10. Two Suns in the Sunset (I LOVE FINAL CUT)
9. Childhood's End (Obscured by Clouds)
8. One of These Days
7. Alans Psychedelic Breakfast
6. Country Song (from Zabrieskie Point)
5. Grandchester Meadows (Umma Gumma)
4. Embryo (The Peel session version)
3. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (Pompeii Version)
2. Green is the Colour
1. Breathe
Firstly, I love every era of Pink Floyd but I'm a big fan of the Syd Barret era and early era. I would have mentioned stuff like "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" and "Take up Thy Stethoscope and Walk" and their singles like "See Emily Play" and "Arnold Layne"
I listen to a lot of different genres and styles of music, so it's hard for me to pinpoint what exactly makes me like a band.
Putting a top 10 together was somewhat difficult because they have a vast array of great songs, but here it is:
1. Comfortably Numb (Pulse)
2. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
3. Time
4. Dogs
5. Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast
6. Breathe (In The Air)
7. High Hopes
8. Pigs (Three Different Ones)

2) Time
3) Echoes
4) Another brick in the wall (part 2)
5) Any colour you like
6) Comfortably Numb
7) Learning to fly
8) Marooned
9) One of these days
10) Hey you
Keep in mind that this is Pink Floyd we're talking about. The best band of all time. So there are many PF songs not included on this list that are just majestic and way way better than anything produced by most other bands

Peter, really difficult since they do many great well known and obscure songs, the early classics Astronomy Domine, etc and the Echoes and then the whole Animas album, my favorite of all time!

@@soonerfan0161 Thank you👍
Great video, Pete!
With that being said:
1 Dark Side of the Moon Suite (Brain Damage/Eclipse)
2 Shine On You Crazy Diamond (complete)
3 Wish You Were Here
4 The Narrow Way Pt 3
5 The Gunner's Dream
6 On the Turning Away
7 One of These Days
8 Us and Them
9 Learning to Fly
10 Lucifer Sam
As always, thank you for your time and effort to bring us these videos (the same to you as well Mike!)

Mike Antonelli basically chose Dark Side Of The Moon 🌒😂
Here is my Top 10 list for the time being:
1. Comfortably Numb (The Wall)
2. Time (Dark Side of the Moon)
3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Wish You Were Here)
4. Brain Damage/Eclipse (Dark Side of the Moon)
5. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (Saucerful of Secrets)

7. Astronomy Domine (Piper at the Gates of Dawn)
8. Free Four (Obscured by Clouds)
9. The Nile Song (More)
10. Pigs [The Different Ones] (Animals)
"Is There Anybody Out There?" and "Nobody Home" from The Wall should be on my top 10, but I was trying to be inclusive of many of their albums.
So many honorable mentions, hard to know where to begin! ;)

For Shine on live Dick Parry had two saxophones on him, when he finished the first part he swung the baritone sax behind him and the tenor sax in front and started wailing. You can see it on the Pulse live DVD
yep, also on Night to Remember live at Royal Albert Hall
Another great post, many thanks! And I can't wait for your Miles Davis top ten - I need to start working on mine! Cheers!
Mr. Pardo, your beer looks so tasty....that being said, thank you for doing this top 10. Finally Pink Floyd gets some love. Love your channel and your knowledge.

Lyrically, I think High Hopes from Division Bell ranks with the best of Roger Waters at describing melancholy feelings of times gone by. Definitely in my top 10, just for Gilmour's closing solo - brings a tear to my eye to this day.
