    Thanks. I was considering taking out the packing but didn't realize the extra hardware and steps involved.
    Plus to complicate things even more my mufflers are mounted on a Tri-Glide (trike) and the trike body keeps me from removing the side screws holding the end caps and baffle plates on.
    I'd have to either lower the mufflers from the rubber mounts or remove them entirely and I'm not sure the difference in the exhaust sound is worth the trouble.

    Where them rivets or set screws holding baffle in....mine looks like rivets

      I wanna know the same. Mine look like rivets too. I actually wanna put my baffles back in, but just pull out the packing.

      Their set screws I ended up putting them back in because they sounded good after I took that packing out

      “Cat” is in the header pipe.
      Easy to remove. I did it.
