I feel that way during most of his restorations - I guess that’s his business but he takes all the history & patina away - I use products on decorative items to make them look rusted - LOL - I love rust -

Pham Nhat. I went to Vietnam 2005, 2006 and 2009. My daughter is part Vietnamese. In 2005 I went to the Vietnam museum Saigon what the people like calling is opposed to Ho Chi Minh. I saw a Vietnamese soldier on display. It really brings home the unnecessary impact of lives lost at the hands of the very few. Many people don't know not only Americans also Australians held a protest in I think Brisbane to end the Vietnam war. And so pressure built up to actually stop a war they didn't want to end.
Ive been really enjoying watching these videos, the different techniques used are amazing, the precision and careful handling is especially impressive. But what also makes the videos amazing is the editing and filming. The close up shots, shallow depth of field, the pulling focus, and rich colours of the detail makes these so immersive. Well done to all. Thanks for the videos.
I find it amazing how many of these items that are restored have no damage to the metals. It seems that the corosion and rust does nothing to the metals at all. Very strange but yet they do end up very well done.
I’ll tell you what: this looks so much fun recreating a part of history! I would love to start doing this! It seems very relaxing and what a rush when it’s complete!
Yes wy you would send it with dirt you clean it first then you send it he puts the object in the ground for 2 or 3 weeks or more then he digs it up.and then he restores the object so he lies about that somebody send it to him
Well I can Honestly say I totally missed this the 1st time around. When I started seeing the Detailing on this as you were cleaning I was blown away. This just really is so Cool. Thanks for Sharing.

Another amazing work! I told that your work os an art, and It really is! I love to watch It. The way that you disassembly and reassembly It os wonderfull! I really apreciate It. Congrats for your beautiful work!
This is awesome!! I must say though i think the details on the wheels got a little washed out after the chrome coating..its really pretty though Keep it up..and these old lighters really are very unique. Yeah, war is bad..peace
Thanks for watching and for your kind words I really appreciate it 👍 and yes ... I can see that - to much powder from the coating gun this time ... sorry 😬😉👌
Lovely work - but I don’t think powder coating the wheels was worth it - you lost all the fine detailing and they look out of place with the rest of the cannon.

So if using a sandblasted not a good option? I think it’d get most of the surface rust and crap of very easily
Love the video but I must say there was some beautiful detail on the wheels that was lost with the powder coating.
I agree with you.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your opinion I really appreciate it 👍
I also agree. He should've left it that way. He both covered up the details and the history
Agree would have looked so much better buffed and polished.
I thought that too
It's extremely disappointing that the flame doesn't come out of the barrel.
ha ha. Me too. But it's still very beautiful - thanks for watching :)
how extremely disappointing not to see the wholw video.
I read this comment before I watch the entire video. I'm very disappointed.
And how the f*** would you do that 🤦♂️
Amazing. But I think the wheels lost so much detail during the chrome coating, and they don't fit with the rest of the cannon (look wise).
yeah
I wish you didn’t add chrome on the wheels. Love your work though!
I agree - that was a big mistake ;-)
I still love your work! I watch your vids all the time! 😊
Is it possible to remove that
*Your conservation effort to save the underlying patina is highly commendable. KUDOS!*
