God of War and Yooka-fucking-Laylee take place in the same universe along with Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur. Which then links to Star Wars, Spawn, Legend of Zelda, Assassins Creed. Mortal Kombat then links it to fucking Predator, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th. Kratos also appears in Hotshots Golf! Which can then link him to Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!
Cory Barlog have said it recently that this fight is canonical to God Of War(2018). And that happens when Kratos have already killed Zeus and was travelling to the Nordic Pantheon.
I love these added boss fights, Kratos and the Battletoads were incredible. We just need bosses for the Wii U/3DS, and the PC. Any ideas? Great video too. :)
It's a nice addition, but I wish they included an entire level like they did with the Xbone's Battletoads. Also a QTE ending would have been fitting. A nice extra though. ... ... ... Is there a way to fight him again? I beat him so quickly that I barely had a chance to enjoy it.

It felt like Kratos here was kind of an amalgamate, as he had the nemean cestus(a gow3 weapon) while having a pre-gow2 attitude. At the time of his appearance in Shovel Knight, the New game still wasn't a thing, so it's hard to believe this was planned to happen before it and after gow3. But now It can actually be a possibility.

But how would he change colors since when Kratos talks to Shovel Knight his profile is still red and not grey if his Armour truly changed colors then so would his profile. There is actually a pixel like god of war game... I think on the god of war homepage or so. It's long time ago since I played it. Pretty much showed what the story for god of war 3 was originall supposed to be. WIth Zeus dying fast and Kratos traveling to other places like egypt and the north... basicly, they still hold on to this idea, just decided to make it bigger :P

People forget. In the God of War novel, which took place slightly before GOW4. Kratos nearly lost to WOLVES. Only to be saved by his future wife. So is it a stretch Kratos losing an honorable fight with a knight using a shovel? I mean, it ain't the worse loss in history for Kratos. After all, he was tricked and used as a pawn by the Greek Gods. Pretty much his lowest of lows.
DO NOT play this fight on New Game Plus. It is nearly impossible. For one, it doesn't even give you the whole fight; instead of letting you fight Kratos one on one and THEN taking you the the falling pillars part, it starts you with the falling half. Then to make matters worse, whenever you fall past the bottom of the screen, instead of taking half your health (which was a challenge to begin with), it becomes an INSTANT DEATH! D:< I ended up dying a total of 37 times in a row (yes, I counted) before I could pin Kratos down to shovel drop him enough times to beat him. Most of the time, I was lucky to last more than 10 seconds before the instadeath forced me to start over. After that, I'm not even gonna consider trying the Xbox's Battletoads stage on New Game Plus.

VladNorris Actually no. There's no level in the XB1 version at all. You fight all three toads in 3 different sections, that's all. One in that dropping tunnel, one in that speeding highway and then finally all three together in a final fight. There's no level. Also, they reward you with the Toad Armor.

VladNorris I'd actually classify it as a gauntlet since the "stage" is really short compared to a general Shovel Knight stage and has no normal enemies except for a measly few. So, technically it doesn't classify as a stage per se but hey, different opinions, I guess.

People forget. In the God of War novel, which took place slightly before GOW4. Kratos nearly lost to WOLVES. Only to be saved by his future wife. So is it a stretch Kratos losing an honorable fight with a knight using a shovel? I mean, it ain't the worse loss in history for Kratos. After all, he was tricked and used as a pawn by the Greek Gods. Pretty much his lowest of lows.

Still waiting for a Nintendo exclusive boss fight.
DO NOT play this fight on New Game Plus. It is nearly impossible. For one, it doesn't even give you the whole fight; instead of letting you fight Kratos one on one and THEN taking you the the falling pillars part, it starts you with the falling half. Then to make matters worse, whenever you fall past the bottom of the screen, instead of taking half your health (which was a challenge to begin with), it becomes an INSTANT DEATH! D:< I ended up dying a total of 37 times in a row (yes, I counted) before I could pin Kratos down to shovel drop him enough times to beat him. Most of the time, I was lucky to last more than 10 seconds before the instadeath forced me to start over. After that, I'm not even gonna consider trying the Xbox's Battletoads stage on New Game Plus.

VladNorris Actually no. There's no level in the XB1 version at all.
You fight all three toads in 3 different sections, that's all. One in that dropping tunnel, one in that speeding highway and then finally all three together in a final fight. There's no level. Also, they reward you with the Toad Armor.
***** That's what I meant(as it is, the battle is more of a level than a battle, as you spend more time going through obstacles and hazards than actually fighting the toads.)

I'd actually classify it as a gauntlet since the "stage" is really short compared to a general Shovel Knight stage and has no normal enemies except for a measly few.
So, technically it doesn't classify as a stage per se but hey, different opinions, I guess.
