    Mr. and Mrs. Goncalves just take it a minute at a time. My husband and I have lost three adult children, 16, 34 and 28. My heart bleeds for you and the other parents. Our children were taken in tragic accidents. It's been 7 years since my 28 year old son was taken, he was on his way to work, and there are days I cannot even move. I'm so very sorry for your tremendous loss. For what's it's worth, your girls knew how very much they are loved by you both. It's clear to us out here, it was definitely clear to them.
    You raised bright, intelligent, beautiful, kind, and happy girls. It's so touching to see the unwavering love between the two of you as a couple. You're truly beautiful people. I wish I could hug you both!
    Steve, as a daddy's girl, I have to say you're a Rockstar! You have done your daughter proud and protected her in life and beyond. Take peace in knowing that. You did a wonderful job.
    Kristi, a mother's love. That says it all and that's what you gave to Kaylee. She keeps that with her both here on earth and into the heavens. You are always with her and she is always with you. Nothing can ever penetrate that bond. You are a Mama bear.

    I agree with what the Goncalves's said. They would see how easy it is to park behind the house up that hill and see right into Maddy's bedroom. Kohberger could see exactlly which room she was in and know where to go once inside the house and what she was doing anytime she was in there. The jury needs to go to that house to see the contrast of the 4 kids and their lives prior to Kohberger murdering them and what that house is like today. Empty torn up and boarded up. If I was prosecuting this case, I would insist that the jury goes to the house and in it I would have large photos on easels showing each victim alive and if possible, have the photo showing them in the room they died in and in contrast show a large photo on another easel of the crime scene photo in that very same room. It would be very powerful. 3D mapping and photos do not accomplish the same thing as actually being in that house, knowing what happened there. The jury needs to feel the presence of those who died in there.

      I don’t think the judge wants an emotional jury. He most likely wants an impartial, non-prejudiced jury. He wants this to stick. Not be appealed. It’s the facts of the case against the law. Not personalities.

You might look like you are doing ok to outsiders, but you realize you will never be the same person you were. And I don't mean to be discouraging, but we had to wait over 3 years for the trial, because new DNA technology kept being tested. One thing that helps me is the belief that from even the worst of pain, there's a golden ring around the clouds, and every single thing has meaning. ❤❤❤❤

    Thanks for interviewing them and sharing Brian E. I have a message for Kaylee’s Mom… First my heart ❤️ goes out to you both and the other parents and friends of the children. 😞 I have been following this case. I just want you to know that that anxiety you’re experiencing. It’s part of connection with your daughter. It’s feeling on a very soul level of things that she felt… almost like epigenetic memory going in a different way but a deep connection. My very best friend was murdered in 2004. I actually felt sadness and overwhelming tears as if somebody ripped some thing out of me the night that I found out he was murdered. I started getting anxiety too and I was one of the first people at the crime scene with his nephew because his mom asked me when they were done to go through his things at the house. I literally fainted. I could actually feel a really cold feeling in one of the rooms. It was so traumatic I could feel the pain my friend went through. That’s what the anxiety is. It’s a long story. I’m still traumatized. Almost 20 years later, but they caught the guy after sadly, he killed somebody else in Tallahassee and ex sheriffs attorney, my life has changed. Yes I have things that bring me complete. Peace but anxiety changed my life. Big hugs and lots of love. Be strong I know what that feels like to go through the anxiety. Deep breaths and if you need to be on a little medication and cognitive behavioral therapydo it. Lots of love, Mercy.❤️💗🕊🙏🙏🙏

    Brian, so glad you have the empathy for them to feel comfortable to talk about their trauma. Not all reporters are created equal, and you have been there from the beginning. It must mean a lot to them to have a line of communication with someone they trust, and who truly listens.

    The Goncalves are an incredible couple. I hope and pray they can continue to weather this tragedy as united, loving and supportive of one another as they are today. I think both Steve and Kristie are so honest about how they feel...a very good looking couple and Kaylee resembles them both. So so tragic and sad.

    Great interview as usual. It's so sad that to a degree the victims become nameless and are sometimes "numbers". It's like the victims lose all rights once they are unalive yet the alleged suspect has all the rights in the world. I do agree that BK should be wearing jail type clothes versus normal clothes at the pre-trial hearings. Kaylee's mom needs to take all the time she needs and not rush to go into Kaylee's bedroom. Personally, I hope the house doesn't get torn down until after the trial. I thought I heard that the inside of the house had been changed. If this is true, why? If I were on the jury, I would want to see the house.
    It is helpful to see the entire interview versus short clips. Though, I will still see the short clips ahead of time. Prayers to all of the families.

    • @45square
      @45square 11 месяцев назад +1

      The house has been cleaned and everything removed. Some put in storage for evidence. Jurors rarely visit crime scenes during trials. It’s also his right to wear a suit.

    • @flyerb5041
      @flyerb5041 11 месяцев назад

      @@45square Visits may be rare, but they do happen. Some people do better seeing the actual site versus looking at models or even 3-D models. It's his right to wear a suit at trial so there is no undue judgement held against the alleged suspect. Just MOO as I respect your opinion.

    Excellent program😢 thank you to the parents for expressing their feelings of everything. It really helped me to see in their eyes everything that they’re feeling and I’ve been also waiting for this case to come in and I want to see justice so let’s pray that all works out and that one day you’ll be able to go into the room it’s funny that you feel that way it’s like I know it’s not the same but I lost my mom three years ago and I have some things of hers, some things I had to get rid of and some things I still have but I have not had the bravery I guess to go into her things I guess I don’t wanna be in touch with that feeling of grieving although I know it’s important and we should try to do it but I hope the best for you mama

    My heart is hurting so much for you. After my daughter was murdered by her scum boyfriend, he jumped n her car and took off. When we got her car back it hand fingerprint dust all over it and trashed. I looked on floorboard and saw the container that she had her lunch in I lost it. Just knowing he drove it last and crime scene left behind, we gave it back to bank I couldn’t handle it. Prayers for all.

    As a parent and grandfather my heart really goes out to the parents that are experiencing grief and mourning on a level I can not imagine. If these awesome loving mother and father seem adrift and stepping over each other in their effort to communicate and get their feelings out I understand! I know they are processing a huge mountain of painful tragic and horrific details of an event that cannot be adequately understood without years of processing in a multitude of ways! They must be allowed they must be forgiven in how they tackle this tragedy so eternal and so huge. Love them, support them and let them. May God comfort them keep them and protect them please.

    For the love of God, Kristi and Steve should be assigned a family victim advocate by the Prosecution. 💔

    • @RLFinTX
      @RLFinTX 11 месяцев назад +3

      You don’t even need to be assigned one. You just call Victim’s Services and they have everything imaginable to be able to help you and it’s paid for. She mentioned that she wasn’t ready for counseling yet, but it will be there for her and anyone else in their family. I’m only a bit over halfway through so if your comment was about something specific that I’ve not listened to yet, my apologies. ❤

      so sick that a hardworking innocent young man's life gets ruined by false accusations. He needs $ million payout after he gets out next year. all evidences tell us 2 roommates are the killers instead of Kohbeger.

      @@RLFinTX Thank you. I wasn’t aware that this service was available pre-trial. My comment was referencing their remarks about having little to no communication from the state. Surely they’ve been made aware of available resources.

    • @RLFinTX
      @RLFinTX 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@KatKrueger Oh ok, I know the part you’re talking about, and unfortunately with a gag order, they aren’t able to be told. It’s for everyone’s good to keep everything very close to the vest at this point so there won’t be any claim for a mistrial. There is so much emotion involved with the victim’s family, and rightfully so, but those same emotions can get you making public comments, which he did and thus put the gag order into effect. It’s absolutely for the good of being able to prosecute to the fullest extent. If that is the part you were referring to when you mentioned them needing a victim’s advocate, they don’t get involved to that extent.

    • @KatKrueger
      @KatKrueger 11 месяцев назад

      @@RLFinTXThank you for explaining. I’m unclear as to how victim’s services works but know that during the Daybell trial, the DA’s office was very helpful to the victims regarding when to expect graphic testimony so that they could be prepared or choose to be absent from the courtroom. Of course in Moscow the gag order is necessary. There seems to be genuine confusion from Kristi and Steve about why the investigation is being run the way it is and they frame remarks in a way that leads me to believe that they are not being guided through this nightmare. I thought there was a family liaison individual that could at least talk with them about the disconnect that they seem to be experiencing? You must have knowledge of how this works, or doesn’t work?
