We've had no sales this month at all except apples 77cents lb 2 weeks ago 😅 so besides milk and salad I've bought nothing.

It’s been very cold and snowy here in N Middle Tn. I placed a Kroger sales pick up order yesterday but the earliest pick up time is this Saturday at 9. I placed a small but normal Walmart pickup yesterday and cannot pick up till Sunday. This is not normal but understandable due to the weather.
So very thankful for being stocked up and not needing anything this week. Blessings to all🩷

Major snow days! It was -3.7 at night. Don’t know the wind chill! We are in the 40’s in the daytime now. 🎉 Glad you had a great time!! 💕

So far this month we’ve only spent $114 for groceries.
Also this week it has been full of snow, freezing rain and negative temps. It’s been colder in Memphis, Tn than in Anchorage, AK. So the cold has also motivated us NOT to get out and shop. Lots of soups and stews this week using what we have on hand. We are over winter now.

In Idaho, we have had a lot of snow and -14 temperatures. We haven't had school in person for 1 week.
Oh boy! That is cold and snowy. We have a delay today...and will see what happens later. I am ready for a snow day but I bet you all are ready to be back in school!

( For example 10kg of potatoes would cost me around $30! as their around $3 per kg ! )
Wow! That is crazy that prices vary that much....especially on potatoes! We are normally paying around $9 for 10 pounds, so it was definitely a deal. I wish I could send you some potatoes! 🤣

Oh we got 5" & then 12" of snow ❄️ last Tuesday & Friday & we had 2 snow days. Our temps have been cold 🥶 too. -0⁰ temps. Ugh!
That's a lot! My kids would love some actual snow! We're getting some snow today but just a couple inches. Not much at all really. ❄️
@joyfullythriving yeah I know the kids ☃️ love it (my 2 are adults now) but I don't enjoy it lol😅 especially driving in it. We're in southern Wisconsin, so we normally don't get that much. We had a couple more inches ❄️ overnight.

They are making do...but my parents both grew up in the Midwest, so they do know cold. They will definitely be ready for the warmer weather to return to Texas again though! 😁

Wonder if you could freeze potatoes whole and stick in ziploc bags and freeze them. We blanch and freeze when they are on sale. It does take awhile to do that and not everyone has that time.
That is an interesting idea. I wonder too! 🤔 I will have to research that. I tend to store my potatoes in the basement. The last batch got sprouts more quickly but I think it was because they were jumbo potatoes. We are finishing up the last of those, but I need to consider freezing some of them. Or canning maybe?
You can pressure can potatoes. Soak them in cold water, changing the water several times, then put in jars. I cover mine with water. You can add a bit of salt. I do cubes, chunks and slices. Just got a French fry cutter to try those.
Watching from the UK and we call fish sticks 'fish fingers ' here,great in a butty (that's a sandwich to you, lol).
