Well, I ordered one, and I’m just a normal nobody. Like this comment to keep it near the top, and if/when I receive mine, I’ll update it.
EDIT 1: As of today, Feb 20th, the status of the order on the website has been updated to "In Production" (I assume they mean "in progress'. Up until Yesterday, the status had not changed from "awaiting payment". To me, the mere fact that this is even updating at all is more than I thought I'd get lol. Keeping those fingers crossed!!!
EDIT 2 (2-21-20): A more thorough search of my CORRECT email address shows that I did receive a confirmation email yesterday with confirmation of order changing status to "in production". As of 10:40am today, still on that status.
EDIT 3 (2-22-20 9pm): Sorry everyone, but no change in the status as of today. Guess that sticker is a pain to install??
EDIT 4 (2-23-20 5pm): Once again, no change. On another note, I find it humorous that most of the models on the site are Russian/Eastern European lol. Grifters stick together! I'm actually fairly confident I will get a shipping notification; I'm equally confident nobody else should do this lol - which I mean really I hope nobody went into this actually THINKING they would get a Fold at this price. And finally, my order number is over 150000 - so assuming they started at one, I find it hard to believe they acquired over 150,000 of these things lol. Even if they started at 100k, I STILL find it hard to believe that, using the methods they described, that they could come up with 60k of those things. See ya'll tomorrow!
EDIT 5 (2-24-20 11:30pm): sorry for the late post, but today and tomorrow are my "I don't do shit" days. Nothing doing today either. My email WAS answered, but the response had zero to do with my question. Email asked about the shipping time frame, response said, and I quote: "GREAT! Use the link below to track your shipment on our website". So yeah lol
EDIT 6: STILL no change folks.
EDIT 7: So obviously I am not updating this daily or even hardly at all - After day 7 it became clear that nothing was going to come of this. I am updating today to inform that the Escobarinc website is DOWN, possibly taken offline. AFAIK, this was the only portal they were selling phones out of.
I think the end thoughts to this are thus: If you are a private citizen that is not an influencer of some kind, stay the fuck away from this!!! Yes I knew it was a scam, but hey the best scams have to put on a front, so some people WERE getting phones, but I was not one of them, and the odds are super low anyhow. Unless my phone arrives, this will be my last update on the status of shipping. Thanks for the interest everyone!

Considering their very limited stock(there are only so much returned/lesser than A grade quality/overstocked phones), way too cheap of price(even for the source of the phones considered), the ridiculous marketing(it looks like made by some random ghetto person in their spare time) and the fact that they don't accept any form of payment where you have a buyer's protection(insurance, charge back, refund) tells you anything you know about this. At best it's a pyramid scheme so at least some of the early buyers will receive their phones, at worst you won't receive anything regardless, either way it looks like a scam.
@OK I had exactly the same puzzlement when I watched that. I couldn't understand how Marques could ever claim the Galaxy Fold not to be a huge commercial success. Samsung sold at least double if not triple the numbers of what most analysts originally forecast they would sell. One billion dollars revenue and huge amounts of positive exposure as an innovative brand from just a niche market product within just one quarter of a year. Motorola (2019 annual revenue 7 billion USD) would gladly sign for such results.
Btw, Escobar's business model will be dead as a pig entering a slaughterhouse for supposedly a study trip group visit, the moment Samsung and all other real OEMs start restricting any overstock being sold on the free market. Apple doesn't allow it already, so it'd only be a matter of time.

It literally says they can track your device once they get your email and information by using the “Cookies” from your browser. Which means, if you buy the phone with another email and information, and you use the same device to search for any other thing on the internet, they can literally know your location, due to Cookies. And your pictures also have your location embedded in them. Just so you know. Unless you switch location tagging off.

And you get a list of things you can talk and you need to talk about and you cant talk about others stuff. Buy phones for cheap, repackage them, sell them for cheap. Even if 'Escobar Inc' is making a loss, if they're sourcing these phones with illegally obtained money and selling them on, then on paper any money they receive from resale is legitimate and the Escobars can use it as they please.
What they're doing is highly illegal, and rebranding an existing product copyrighted under Samsung is illegal too (reselling it as a Samsung device wouldn't be)… BUT, as a consumer wanting a cheap Samsung Galaxy Fold, you probably don't care for any of that and you don't have to. The Feds aren't gonna bust down your door for buying one. Though do be careful because if you DO buy one of these, there is no guarantee you'll even receive it.
