Can you use one source for audio but still record all the angles? This potentially could be a game changer for me and will save hours of trying to sync vocals!
so helpful! thank you. I am beginner beginner, like just starting beginner, your skills are so advanced, I can see that on your video, I hope to be that good soon. Very good instructions, right to the point! Again, thank you.
Very handy❤❤❤ If you are delivering a congress where you have something on screen for screensharing and you have two iphones and macbook with a camera and you are livestreaming on youtube. How would you do that?
I gave it try.. yea it´s very easy to use and clean which is nice, but I´m already very familiar with OBS. I was hoping this app could record all the different cameras at the same time into multiple files, so I could edit the multicam in like DaVinci later. That would have been really useful. Do you know any program that can do that? I mean record multiple cameras/phones into multiple files? :-) For Mac M1. Thanks!
Great Video - top notch, thank you! Question if it’s not too late, can you edit this from an iPad? (Wondering because it would be easier for me with an iPad)
Hi, I just downloaded Detail this afternoon and I’ve been watching your video. Very helpful; thank you. Yet, for some reason, after I connect my iPhone to my MacBook Air, and then try to connect my iPad, The iPad camera doesn’t show up. Any recommendations would be most appreciated. Thanks
This is pretty cool. I know Apple just added this Final Cut for iPad thing that has multicam, but I don't have a newer iPad, plus they don't have the feature for the Mac. So this is a pretty cool setup as a workaround. It's just a little too expensive for me. I feel like it should be like max $10-15/month.
That seems to be just what I’m looking for. Do you by chance know if you can use multiple MacBooks as a source so that you could use the screen record of one MacBook while creating using detail on the other thanks for the video.
I know this is an older video but I have a question. Using this ap, can you sync audio from an interface plugged in to a MacBook pro for the audio or do you have to use one of the cameras? I am planning to use this for making music gear review videos. I have an interface which utilizes a condenser mic and an instrument mic. I'm not sure how this would work in the ap. Basically, can you have more than one audio file in sync with the video? If not, this would not work. If so, maybe it would be awesome.
I want this app, but it looks like the macbook price is 149, and you have to get the iphone app for another 49 annually, and I'm assuming if I want it on any other devices I have to purchase the pro version for those devices also? I don't see you're answering any questions The Edit Place, anyone else know? Is that true?
This is fantastic! I am planning on doing a road trip with my brother from Oklahoma to Southern California and back. I’d like to document this even. Doing a multi camera set up seems like an awesome idea! I have several i Phones and an iPad Pro that I’d like to use. Help! And thanks in advance.
Thanks for the clear quick overview. Sounds like a Dream-come-True app from my POV (so far). Can't wait to download the app and give it a spin. Have lots of "extra" old macbooks and an ipad etc. I could add to the mix. How to integrate multiple camera angles in a single video has been an ongoing unsolved headache for me. Moving forward I'd love to know how to integrate Detail multicam perspectives into a Zoom interview (for podcast style video interviews with split screen); plus any useful tips concerning using Detail for home studio music video recordings -- since I like making little amateur vocal/acoustic guitar performance videos too.
One tip: I initially (accidentally) downloaded the Detail app for iphone/iPad only ("Detail: Video and Camera Editor') -- so my MacBook could not connect to either my iPad or my iPhone cameras at all. Couldn't "find" them. After a long period of frustration I realized there was (duh!) a different app named "USB Camera for Detail on Mac" that is OS compatible. Having downloaded and opened that app I can now finally link all my iphone, ipad, and built in macbook cameras together exactly as demonstrated in your video. But definitely lost 30 mins going down the wrong rabbit hole. That said, I'm still worried that I've signed up for multiple free trial "pro" accounts (one for each of these two different apps) and so may end up getting double-billed accidentally. Worth noting!
Right. I have two iPhones and an iPad. I have a MacBook Air but it’s not M1 or M2 so some features don’t work. This app sucks because everyone can’t afford those high Mac’s atm

Thanks! Very useful. I do online courses so it seems that Detail would work great for that

Use case for me is podcasting. Awesome video brother, what a great product.
What an amazingly clear tutorial. Thank you!

You should be able to do that with Detail. You just export a XML and import that into resolve!

can I use this on IPad (+keyboard) and iPhone only.
Super interesting software. I’m going to give it a try.
Ps. Find a good replacement for Filmic Pro yet? With exposure lock
Can you do this on the iPad version ?
Can you Live stream from an iPad and connect iphone as second cam? No laptop?
Hey, app seems great and bought the pro plan, but all the footage is mad laggy, any suggestions?
This is pretty cool! I may have to try this whenever a Mac is within my budget 😂 just got an iPad Pro M2 !
This is fire!!! Thank you
Hi. Did you do the in-depth version for Detail? Would love to see that.
Subbed.
Does the audio recording from each device switch as scenes are switched?

You are a lifesaver ! I just subscribed
Can you record in cinematic mode as well on the iPhone in the detail app ?
Please, is the app available for android? Also how do we get detail app download?

This is basically what I want to do but I have windows, android, google pixel, and a drone cam what can I do?

I have an iPad that runs on MacOS. Would it work the same as a MacBook?
Great video I would like to see something in podcasting thanks again love the video.

Literally watching this video because I’m going through the same thing something told me to read the comments thanks a million man !!!
Whats the name of this Software?
Is there a way you can connect this to a stream deck? Like with companion?
Hope somebody can respond to this: where are all the recorded angles stored? On each phone or on the laptop?
Unless you have an M2 Mac, the app will look nothing like what is being showed, just a heads up
Is it possible to use this with OBS to stream?
Is there an app like this for the Intel versions?
This is great
I wouldn’t waste your time guys, it’s subscription only and twice the price of Final Cut Pro on iPad. I’d wait for release of the Final Cut camera app
You still have to have Final Cut Pro in order to use Final Cut camera.
Hey new subscriber here. I’m getting into podcasting and streaming for gaming. I would love more guidance
Does the software only record the stream or does it record each source separately to edit it afterwards. That would be huge!
Yes it records each source separately!
3:01 can you use without having a Mac with detail.os or is it required?
Right. I have two iPhones and an iPad. I have a MacBook Air but it’s not M1 or M2 so some features don’t work. This app sucks because everyone can’t afford those high Mac’s atm
BTW, our road trip from Oklahoma, to California starts October 2nd. We’ll be gone about two weeks
Pc option?
OBS does the same for free, also have a mobile app
Is this free?
Commenting to see if there’s an answer later
You can download it for free yes. If you want the pro version though it's a monthly charge depending which capabilities you want
Incorrect, it’s subscription only
@@TheEditPlaceyeah, when I downloaded this I saw this as well! How useful is it for a iMac with an iPhone attached via the belkin setup?
OOOPs It's for apple schit
