Some people are fine with episodic garbage and don't give a crap about continuity, other more sensible people prefer cohesive narrative universes. And yet others are anywhere in between. And if you look around, you'll find both kinds of people exist in all age groups.

I know this is a joke, but am I the only one who remembers the comic and what Mundi *actually* said about his family?

Given Mundi said "I found it difficult to accept", I don't understand where this 'Sociopath' misconception even fucking came from outside of someone *intentionally* misreading it.
He actually did love his wives, it that the Jedi council forbid him from doing so.

I think there's almost a hidden plotline in both Legends and Canon where we see how, as more capable, older members of the council die, they're replaced by less capable ones. As we know, Lucas really couldn't put to film what his exact vision was, and the slow decline of the Jedi is obviously something they tried to focus in, even though the prequels failed to convey that on film.
Like, the guy who replaced Poof is literally known for making a disastrous battle plan on Geonosis, and then foolishly dying while trying to kill Dooku in attack of the clones. The two who faced Palpatine barely even lasted.
You might say Palpatine was too strong, but if two of only 11 Jedi masters in the galaxy are so weak against one Sith, barely able to last even a fraction of the time Windu lasted alone, you can see just how incapable they were.

Imagine leading a legacy spanning 200+ years, ending with you saving an entire planet with countless millions of lives only to be replaced by a humanoid parasaurolophus who shortly thereafter got ganked by a clone template after stupidly jumping up to try and confront the heavily guarded leader of the separatists
Jango didn't kill Coleman Trebor to save Dooku.
He just knew Coleman was Yarael Poof's successor, and found him an unworthy poser.
Apparently he was the reigning master of Niman at the time. Which considering how easily he was gunned down tells me that the standards for reigning master of that form were slipping hard.
So he was the scary old man who actually turned out to be really kind and fun.
When i did my little deep dive into Yareal Poof, my thoughts and respect for him went through the roof. I couldnt believe the power this Jedi had. He was was so gifted he was elevated above the counsel in my eyes.
I love Robot chicken and all but they didnt do there research on him and that did him dirty.
That is kinda what robot chicken does. It had been the same with whoever background character they have chosen for the trilogy.

Considering Yarael in robot chicken was only a pizza delivery guy he hid from Palpatine even RIGHT UNDER HIS NOSE, I think his robot chicken depiction especially at the end shows just how good he is as a illusionist. in either depiction he appears to me as a very talented Jedi. So satire for laughs while sticking to his actual character...the guy was able to MIND TRICK PALPATINE!!

@@yrooxrksvi7142 Form 2 would make sense considering how long he has been in the Jedi order. Form 3 would make sense given his more open mindedness. Form 4 would have to be my last guess, as Yareal Poof doesn't seem like the aggressive type and it would not make sense for him to dabble in all forms.
@@galaxy-eyesgarchomp9478 I would say that the way he uses Force-powers in combat makes a pretty good case for Form 6. Form 3 is also rather likely for a Consular, since it's purely defensive, requires very little energy, and puts you in a meditative state that probably makes Force use easier. Form 2 I'm less sure about: he may have been old, but not nearly as old as Makashi; in fact, the only form that wasn't developed long before his time was Vaapad.
Actually, thinking about it, pretty much all Jedi at least become proficient in Form 1, so that would be my guess for the last one if I had to make one. Form 4 doesn't make much sense to me, since he doesn't seem like the kind of Jedi to focus on Force enhancement of the body, which is almost a requirement for Ataru, and I agree with the aggression argument against Form 5.
@@samueldimmock694 I was thinking form six, but that form is basically all forms in one if memory serves correct. So I'm not sure Yareal Poof would want to study that form.
@@samueldimmock694 Now the reason I thought that Ataru would be the most likely case for his third form is because like you said it is kind of a requirement for users of Ataru to enhance their body with the force. Jedi Consulars do focus more on mastering the force than their combat capabilities. So to me form 4 seems to be a great form choice for Jedi Consulars. They can focus on mastering their skills in the force and still focus on learning a lightsaber form for combat.
All this and he just served pizza.

He’s one of the best swordsmen in the Jedi order at a time when the Jedi were at their peak in terms of martial skill. Which makes him one of the best swordsmen in all of Star Wars, he’s so underrated. He was like my fav one of the council members when I saw his goose neck swayin back n forth in TPM as a kid for the first time in theaters.

Wow I use his lightsaber in Movies Battles II. Now I know that it was an Ace Jedi's lightsaber, I have a lot more respect for it and him.
What if both were true, because of his pranks and jokes on jedi, Yoda got tired of his bullshit and delegated him to pizza guy, and thus inadvertently saving Master Poof from extermination during order 66
