I went whole food plant-based and only lasted 14 months. It destroyed my health even more and I lost a lot of muscle. Carnivore saved my life. I reversed my pre-diabetes, healed all my autoimmunes, gained back my muscle, and lost 128 pounds of fat. At almost 50 years old, nothing has ever worked to lose fat! I have been carnivore for over 2 years and feel better than I did in my early 20s. I will eat this way for life.

Your story is a near mirror of my story. High-fat carnivore is a life saver for menopausal women.
To this day, every time I eat any plants other than an a once per week shared plate of steak/chicken fajitas with the cooked peppers/onions, I end up having to run to the restroom. I ate plants and starches for years thinking I was doing good for my system and in reality I was hurting myself. For me and my family before me, plants are destructive to our digestive tracts, to the point of causing at least one early death in our family. I know this is not true for some fills and that’s great, but it is true for many people and western medicine doesn’t want to say that because of political agendas surrounding farming and poorly done science by Ansel Keys.
For me, fat and meat along with very low dose and temporary HRT patch, has/is healing; massive hair fall, out of control emotions and mood swings, chronic and severe heartburn, ulcers, intestinal pain and cramping, chronic lose stools with occasional constipation, body wide joint pain, massive chronic fatigue, poor sleep, weak nails, muscle cramps in legs, uncontrollable weight gain, and my skin is amazing now. Of course, I think the diet along with throwing out seed oils, soy, and chemical soaps and lotions and using tallow as a moisturizer helps add to the goodness.
Also, I love this woman’s approach to diet. She’s a gem for sure. I learned to make tallow from her videos and need to thank her by purchasing some of her soap!
Ladies, just remember, when perimenopause comes along, the western medical system is going to shunt you off and call you crazy or out of touch. You will be responsible for finding your own solutions. Try carnivore at that point. If you are vegan and it’s working for you, great!…. But PLEASR do consider at least adding in fatty fish and eggs to your diets. Save yourself a decade of hormonal misery!!!! Please hear this as advice your Grannie is giving you with tenderness and hope for your future health. :) I don’t want anyone else to suffer the way I did!

I started a "health" journey about 20 years ago and kept gaining weight and having more problems. I got more and more plant based until March 1 this year and out of desperation switched to mostly carnivore (about 90% meat). I immediately started feeling so much better! I will have seasonal fruit a couple times a week and an occasional slice of homemade sourdough but otherwise, just meat. I never imagined this is what I needed. thanks for doing this video because it made me understand why my body is responding well to carnivore.

To add my anecdote - I've been meat-based since December 2023 and all my symptoms of POTS, joint pains, incontinence, and more are gone! My anxiety and depression are almost completely gone, and I no longer have intrusive thoughts.
I do it the GAPS way with lots of meat stocks, homemade yoghurt and kefir. I want to try some cultured cream too! Still struggling to get meat stock into my 9yo autistic son, but he has come a long way from only eating oats and fruit - he eats ground beef, cheese, pulled beef, the odd lamb chop and loves his yoghurt and kefir!

I’ve been on the carnivore diet, strictly, for about a month now. I’ve been animal based for a few months. I can honestly say when I went strict carnivore my autoimmune symptoms started disappearing. I do think it’s a really helpful elimination diet. I hope to not be on it forever but so far I am very pleased with the results! My husband is doing it too for weight reasons and he’s lost 40 lbs in 2 months.

@@goolash9991 Then explain how so many people that have been carnivore for 15 years or more are absolutely thriving? We're all different, so I wouldn't expect long term carnivore to be right for everyone, but for some of us it's the ONLY way we're healthy. You know what destroyed my gut? Eating loads of vegetables. If I hadn't went carnivore I wouldn't have made it to 60, I'm absolutely sure of that. And I was suffering so badly that I didn't WANT to live to 60. So you're saying I should go back to eating the things that destroyed my gut ... to save my gut from being destroyed? That makes zero sense.

      @goolash9991 5 месяцев назад +1

@@HappilyCarnivore You are definitely in the minority. I do suspect that these long term carnivores are eating things like fruit or taking fiber (as in psyllium husk, inulin, etc) and not disclosing it. I was a vegetarian years ago and that messed my gut up, too. Caffeine also messed my whole body up. All I know is I’m doing much better without caffeine and a WIDE variety of foods everyday. My blood sugar is now in the normal range and getting lower (no longer pre-diabetic). No more GERD, no more gastroparesis, inflammation is going down, now that my bowels are moving. May I ask, how often do you have a BM? Also, Kelly Hogan, long term carnivore, had her gall bladder taken out, as it was failing. If carnivore’s so great, why did that happen?

I really like what you had to say about the cleansing and building foods. Makes so much sense. My own health journey eventually led me to Keto then to Carnivore (as a strict elimination diet) which has eliminated all the trouble I used to have with kidney and gall stones, digestive issues and has evened out a ton of the pre-menopausal hormonal stuff. I've actually sailed right through Menopause without any issues or even hot flashes and no longer have digestive issues. Now, I'd probably be considered more of a 'seasonal' ketovore, eating mostly animal based but with low-carb keto garden foods when in season, occasional sourdough whole grain products and fermented foods, but keeping away from processed foods, sugars and seed oils (most go rancid so quickly particularly if they are bottled). When I do go for a few weeks of strict carnivore, I notice my hair and nails grow so fast which was never the case on SAD. This seems to have worked quite well for us while our second son is still a growing boy at home with a higher need for carbs, but once he launches off on his own, we will probably tighten things up to 90% carnivore to see if hubby can go off his meds, and to help with shaking off midlife weight gain.

  • @meriksen_
    @meriksen_ 5 месяцев назад +10

I was in a doctor's office scheduling surgery because of health and weight related things. The doctor looked up at me and said if there was only a way that you could get the inflammation down in your body quickly and lose some weight we wouldn't have to do the surgery.... And I was like well I have heard of the carnivore diet I've been researching it. I sort of wouldn't mind trying that first if you don't mind waiting. And he's like give it a try see what can happen in 30 days.
The arthritis that had kept me from literally not walking for most of the year was gone in like two and a half weeks!! And the inflammation went down so much I no longer had any of the tendon or joint pain that I did. And I lost 34 lb That first month!
I'm morbidly over beast so that's not a shocking if someone smaller had done carnivore..
I didn't initially share with my family I was going to do carnivore. I always eat separately when I cook and we kind of all run in and out of the house a different times so nobody initially knew I was on it. And by the end of the second week my husband and two of my kids came and said how different I was and how happy they were to see me happier lately and I just couldn't believe that!
Going on carnivore, even within that first month of transition, change so much in my life for the positive!❤

My son and husband both have psoriasis very bad and I have a lot of arthritis issues. We had previously tried all kinds of diets trying to find fixes and even went Whole Foods plant strong for over a year (felt terrible on that… very bad digestive issues on WFPS). I previously was doing all the “homestead gold standard diet” making/growing/raising/preserving everything from scratch. Sourdough & fermenting everything… The issues got worse and worse. So disheartened we researched carnivore because of a family member that was on it and had great health gains. We decided to give it a 90 commitment with our 3 boys. It has been such a huge blessing. The psoriasis is about 80 cleared. My chronic pain has diminished and we have all trimmed up and FEEL GREAT. Definitely going to remain on it. I do give them avocados, green beans now and then and the boys also have some fruit but mostly their diet is very carnivore based. I just got my blood work back today and my Vitamin D levels which I have struggled with being chronically deficient for years were in the normal range without taking any supplements for 5 months. I eventually will work a couple more veggies in but really don’t feel the need as we are thriving more now than when I was making my kids eat copious amounts of veggies a day to try to follow the “expert advice”. Really has been mind blowing especially learning that fat is so essential for us.

@amandaabshier5252 I can’t help wondering about the correlation between an 80% improvement and perhaps an 80% carnivore diet. I think it’s brilliant what you’ve done and how much better your family is, but is it possible that you all have got permeability? In my own experience it took many months, even more than a year to heal leaky gut at various times in the past. If during this time I had fruit or vegetables (or especially alcohol) I basically had to start again depending on the damage done. It seems to be very worthwhile doing 100% carnivore first with zero fruit and vegetables, then very slow additions and noting each cause and effect. All the best to you and your family

I've been on and off the Carnivore diet for years. Every time I think I'll try going off and eat something that isn't part of the carnivore diet I start to get really sick. I honestly believe that the carnivore diet has saved my life. I was spending probably as much time in the hospital and doctors office as I was at home and work. After awhile of dealing with my failing health I stopped listening to the standard died that my healthcare providers where telling me to eat. After some time my health started to bounce back a little bit at a time. I should probably mention that I was a healthcare provider myself for a decade before my health really went down the drain and I was spending so much time either at my doctors or in the hospital.

Carnivore is excellent for perimenopause. I was in hell with perimenopausal symptoms so tried it. I'm now back to normal - no more hot flushes, night sweats, horribly painful, unpredictable periods, no more rage and annoyance at everyone and everything in my life (which was the absolute worst), no more depression. The best thing is I can grow all my own food as we have a bit of land. So we have chickens, sheep and cattle, plus house cows so we always have raw milk and dairy. Animals are a lot easier to grow than plants.

I was hoping you would talk about this some day. I started keto from GAPS, then went carnivore 3 and a half years ago. Trying to heal 3 autoimmune disorders but my gut was first in the whole process. I was off of Protonix in the first week. I had IBS, wound up with Barrette’s Syndrome after years of chronic gastritis, ulcers etc... I couldn’t believe it. I am never going back to how I was eating when I got sick. Never again. Also, no more severe migraines that last 3-5 days. I eat intuitively. OMAD but if my body tells me to eat a breakfast, I do it. If it tells me not to eat at all, I don’t eat until I feel hungry again. Meat only is the most anti inflammatory of eating and I think best when you are really, really sick. I think as you heal and go through various stages of healing, your body requires different nutrients that come from specific fats and proteins and even minerals and vitamins sourced from animals. As you heal you can add other things that you couldn’t have before. I drink 100% pure spring water, use mineral salts in my water, and I use Lugol’s potassium iodide solution as I have read the work of Holistic Doc David Bernstein. I did also have GERD and SIBO. SIBO was what brought me to GAPS. My GI Doc in Saint Louis Recommended it. I have just been studying all kinds of stuff the last 7-8 years. I’ve done a lot of research based on actual clinical studies and other research from scholarly sources such as PubMed. Ken D. Berry M.D. always posts links to clinical research and studies published in PubMed and NIH etc. on his yt channel in the description. I have a healthcare background so understanding the source material from that standpoint helps a lot. My Mom is on the diet too and it has helped her so much that she doesn’t need statins anymore. I’m still on my healing journey but I was on 21 medications at one point and now on only 3, and I beat borderline type ll Diabetes. So happy about that.

I've been on the carnivore diet for 1.5 years. It's been an amazing experience.
    - One problem is protein overeating. Excess protein will be converted into blood glucose.
    - Another issue is consuming lean protein. The ratio must be 3:1, meaning for every 100g of protein, there should be 30g of fat, totaling 130g.
Btw, honey is by no means a carnivore food. It's contraindicated for the human organism. Better for soaps.
Kay Bart talks extensively about this way of eating. Check this one: ruclips.net/video/Gqrc7kInnCU/видео.html Randle cycle, critically important thing.
I found the Paleo Ketogenic Diet protocol from Paleomedicina really helpful. It's carnivore, only limiting certain types of meat, proportions, and amounts. Plants are strictly prohibited due to their defense chemicals and their destructive properties on the intestine and colon. They are not cleansers; they are destroyers.

    • @dinosaurmuscles4534
      @dinosaurmuscles4534 5 месяцев назад +1

No. Excess protein will not be converted to sugar. Glyconeogenesis in carnivores is demand driven, not supply driven. Look up Ben Binkman on that. He did a study on it.
      ruclips.net/video/z3fO5aTD6JU/видео.htmlsi=fjL6jdWrrQMQHQuW
You actually want to be closer to 50:50 fat/protein by weight.
Honey is sugar, high in fructose, which your body cannot use as energy and you metabolize similar to how you metabolize alcohol, causing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

I pressure can and use those stocks in such a way that it supports that stock making habit. I use leftover meat with some veggies to make soup and drink the stock right out of a cup. Interestingly, the majority of my children also enjoy the same endeavors. It can definitely pass down from generation to generation. Your children are extremely lucky!

But would love to add fruits for electrolytes. Many many health benefits so far. The hardest part are the relatives and constant questioning.

Excellent! Thank you!! I’ve been Carnivore for about a month now. I’ve lost ten pounds and about an inch around the waistline. I started with Keto right after Christmas, to break free from gluten, sugar and high carbs. But I overindulged on all of the yummy dairy and eventually had allergies that were problematic. I wasn’t losing weight and I was very tired as well. As soon as I cut out 90 percent of the dairy, my weight began to budge. For the last week, I’ve been restricting myself to eat between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. That’s moving the scale and is beneficial as well. I also need to add in exercise. What you shared is so very helpful! Many years ago I did an all juice fast for 40 days. I lost weight, my complexion was great and I felt amazing at the end of the fast. I didn’t feel the need to take my handful of 15+ supplements for a very long time after that. But I didn’t know how to maintain it. What you shared makes great sense!! The juice fast was simply a forty day cleanse…not intended as a lifestyle. 😉

Thanks for this wonderful video, Marisa. I tried to start GAPS earlier this year, but with my various symptoms and fatigue, I was really struggling with meal prep and needed to simplify even further. I had done carnivore briefly a few years back, and found it to be the easiest way too eat, as far as reduced cravings and almost no prep required. So, I decided to give it another go, this time with an electrolyte powder, because the reason I stopped before was from what seemed like low blood pressure symptoms.
Anyway, it's working out really well so far. I'm more stable between meals, am finally sticking to what I'm allowed to eat more naturally instead of always having to force it with will power that's usually not there. I struggled a lot with giving in to little bites of this or that. My lifelong slow digestion is speeding up, and I think some of that is because of the electrolyte powder because it didn't happen before. And the "keto high" has been a nice bonus too. I'm starting to feel a little more stable in my routine to where I'm going to try and start incorporating meat stock more and more frequently. And cut my dairy intake back to only goat kefir and ghee, because I had some A2 heavy cream and raw goat and sheep cheese this month for variety, to help me stay on track, but have noticed PMS and acne that I had when drinking a lot of raw milk last fall.
I've also been making (almost) daily videos about what I'm eating and how my symptoms are, which has also really increased my sense of community and accountability. People have been so kind and encouraging in the comments, and I highly recommend that for anyone trying a diet who thinks it might help them stick to it better too.
Thanks again, Marisa. Your videos really help people to find this information. I know GAPS will help me a ton, and I feel like the carnivore diet is the perfect stepping stone to get me there. ❤️

Most people don't consider honey a carnivore food. It's high in sugar and plant metabolites, which are both problematic for a lot of people. Sea food is permitted. A lot of people eat Carnivore to eliminate plant comounds for auto immune issues and carbs and sugars for insulin resistance. It's as much about what you eat as what you do not. People who are the most unwell often do better just eating ruminat meat.

The bee vomits up honey to feed bees; the cow vomits grass from its first stomach, producing chyme, to chew its cud. None of us would want to eat cow vomit…should we eat bee vomit? Puts a different spin on it for sure!

The gaps diet made the most sense for me I tried carnivore for about 3 weeks but I could never get past the cravings for sweets because I had candida overgrowth in my gut and I couldn’t get enough fat in my diet to feel full so I had cravings for carbs and sugar my skin did get super clear but my hair kept falling out. Gaps was so good for me my hair stopped falling out because of the rich collagen from the meat stock and my skin got so clear it’s also helps I can eat fruit later on the diet.

I tried raw carnivore for 6 months. I was vegan for 1 year. I tried cooked carnivore for 5 months. I can say from experience that a balanced diet is best... I lost too much weight on carnivore and developed consistent headaches even with mineral supplements. I would get cramps at night and had to take sea salt to cure this. The best thing I have found for me personal is the Traditions Diet or a diet that is balanced with greens, fruits, legumes, animal fat, animal protein, and plasma (water with sea salt).

Well said. That's what I think too, carnivore has really helped a lot of people in specific situations to reverse their issues. I think it's because of the elimination of a poor diet in general. I couldn't live without my veggies, fruits and carbs lol. After having children I started having chronic joint pain. So I started eliminating things. I actually had been gluten free for like 10 years that did nothing for me, then I went completely grain free, I lost a ton of weight, like too much weight and became nutrient deficient. So I stopped that, then I eliminated all animal products. Boy was that a mistake, my already nutrient deficient body got even worse, like all of my antioxidants were super low, some things were so low I am not even sure how I was functioning. I was anemic too. I even tried the blood type diet for like 6 months and that was a complete nightmare, I was so sick on that. So now I just stick to the Weston A Price way of eating and it has worked for me. Restored my health and then some.

I'm on carnivore, mostly on the lion diet (ie mostly all beef, and yes, heart, liver, chuck roast, meat stock & bone marrow every day). I've been doing this for 7.5 months!! I felt so much better when I gave up plants. This was shocking because I was already doing just meat and beets for 3 months, and before this I had been doing the full gaps diet for 1.5 years. I skipped the intro diet like she says in the book not to do LOL. Anyway carnivore has definitely been the way for me. I've added beef liver pills and glutamine amino acid powder, which have both been huge. I gave up dairy and eggs temporarily a year ago due to sulfur and dairy intolerance. So this was a very clean experiment, I was eating beets and meat for 3 months, and occasional other veg like cauliflower, asparagus, and radishes, green beans. then I cut out the beets and cut out all vegetables. When I tested the vegetables again, all my problems came back (boils, pain, anxiety). Stayed back on carnivore, and yeah, all my problems are going away one by one, including chronic lyme disease, chronic fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety, boils, fibromyalgia and more! I was stuck at the 2 classes (8 credits) per semester level when I started the diet. I was able to up it to 3 classes (12 credits, full time!) And now I'm student teaching (10 credits) this term! So excited to be full time or working the equivalent of full time. I do credit it to the carnivore diet and also to methylene blue, which I did for 3 months during this time, at the beginning.
I recently ran out of beef fat. I cooked with olive oil for 2 meals. Immediately got boils!
I am very committed to this. It really feels like it works.
And yeah, definitely do the gaps version with all the healing foods. It's worth it!
I will say though, my last lingering problem is diarrhea. I'm working with a homeopathy doctor to address it. I still believe it's working and that I'm still improving. The boils, anxiety, nightsweats, chronic fatigue and bad sleep are all gone!
Highly recommend eating organs in ground beef form (natural grocers!).
Also highly recommend making beef jerky out of ground beef.
Get yourself a crock pot, some bones, beef fat tallow, ground beef, steak and a roast TODAY.
I swear it's worth it. Also, shopping has never been easier, and all my food Cravings went away within 3 weeks.
And my mold sensitivity dramatically reduced after 3 weeks. This is huge!

I had never heard of GAPS before this video, I had to look it up. I have been carnivore for approximately 4 years. I can tell you for me, I noticed a difference within a couple days regarding depression, anxiety, and how my body felt etc. I had/have so much energy! Quickly after that, I was able to stop using a wheel chair and walker, dropping down to cane use. Within about 30 days, I started noticing that my other ailments were disappearing and I was dropping weight. And believe me, I have been diagnosed with so many medical issues and auto immune diseases. My doctor gave me a month to turn things around or I wouldn't be here today. Carnivore saved my life, literally. Now I cant touch a plant product as I have such adverse reaction to it. A few times I have tried to re-introduce a side salad or something, and I get so sick. EXTREMELY Sick. After all the research Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee, and Dr Shawn Baker have done, carnivore makes complete sense. Dr Chaffee goes into great detail on how our ancestors ate, the make up and structures of our body, the whys, hows, whens, etc. GREAT detail! After listening to his research, there is no way we should be eating plants on a daily basis. You cannot use google or main stream search engines to find the truth. You have to go beyond that. There are ulterior motives for why the truth and information is suppressed. I cannot tell you how awful my husband and I feel when we fall off the wagon. All it takes is eating one serving of vegetables, or a piece of bread. We get super sick.

Carnivore little over 3 years really fixed some massive issues I was having and made me realize my breast implants needed to come out. I got them out along the scar tissue about 10 months ago and then I realized I needed more help with my hormones and then got some biological HRTs. Sometimes it’s about how sick somebody was and if they were being affected by mold at home or work. Affected multiple different times with mold and it’s definitely made my life hard but the breast implants definitely kept me from healing properly. turns out the shell of all implants leak chemicals on a daily basis that your body has to detoxify. Now, finally for the last 4 years there is a black box warning that you have to sign if you decide to get them with all that included along with cancer risk. The scar tissue is what gets tested for the cancers when you remove them properly. Before going all meat based I didn’t eat processed food as I ate clean and live an active lifestyle. I’m 43 now

After a few years of doing that, we can now eat a few low oxalate plants. While on GAPS we figured out we had oxalate toxicity. Lion diet helped us the most with healing. Thanks for the video. I like your content and glad you shared because I was curious your take on this. I got into GAPS about 20 years ago. That was my first introduction to the concept of animal foods being gentle on your digestive system and had more bioavailable nutrients.
As I've evolved in my thinking, thru many years of deduction, I still think it's a good way to introduce people to this concept because we've been so heavily conditioned to think animal foods and saturated fat are somehow toxic. It's more approachable than just straight up fad conventional carnivore diet.
IMO it's pretty simple. Animal foods are a necessity, and plants are optional. Certain plants are much more agitating and stressful to digest without providing much nutritional yield to your for your body to utilize. There are others that are beneficial without undue stress to the body by depleting enzyme reserves. Overall I think that all foods that NEED to be sprouted, fermented or cooked, in order to ingest them, should be considered suboptimal. We can use them, and it's good to be able to tolerate some things in case we didn't have enough access to animal foods in the future, but they shouldn't be considered optimal if they can't be consumed in their raw state.
In my observation indigenous humans gravitated towards meat and fat first and seasonal fruit and honey using plants mostly as medicine in ideal situations where there was plenty of wild game available. If they ate root crops they typically chew them, suck the juice up and spit the fiber out. It's a well known behavior. Other groups might pit roast the roots and spit a small amount of saliva into the warm pit cooked roots so the amylase would predigest the roots so the tribe could assimilate the nutrients more completely without undue digestive distress.

Most do not listen to you and in my experience they have all gone straight to pharma without considering lifestyle changes to resolve issues. In their defense, I realize that most patients just want a pill but for those of us who truly want better, it's difficult and extremely expensive to find functional or holistic medical professionals.

I started the keto lifestyle exactly five years ago. Initially, I lost about 120 lbs over seven months. I combined low carb and fasting. Contrary to popular criticism, I have not found that diet to be restrictive and in fact has consisted of everything I have preferred to eat since I was a child (my parents always said they couldn't afford to feed me meat and vegetables only!). I had to eat my potatoes and pasta. Five years down the road and I find myself almost at carnivore. I really do enjoy some of the vegetables and I've been blessed with a body that does not react poorly to some of the chemicals plants bring to the party. However, I would estimate 85 to 90% of my dietary intake is from animal protein. I am 68 years old and I feel terrific. I am still working full time in a professional career and have no intention of slowing down for at least seven or eight more years. I also don't intend to stop eating meat! Hamburger or rib eye, I don't really care. I'm also not going to compromise on that.

I have been carnivore for 14 months. I initially experienced positive health outcomes but in recent months my gut issues have returned. I am now starting GAPS no plant. There are no real guidelines with carnivore. Some say organs some say not. Some say high fat others say higher protein. Some say dairy others say no dairy.
For people with chronic autoimmune conditions I believe they need more guidelines. There are too many new Carnivores declaring victory after only a few short weeks! That can be discouraging for those who have been doing it longer and are still unwell. There is not enough emphasis on healing and sealing the gut. It’s very trendy to be carnivore and brag about weight loss and healing but there are many silent carnivores who are struggling.

Starting a carnivore diet would kinda be similar to starting a keto diet in terms of the “keto flue”. I personally find you shouldn’t do a hard start or hard end because of blood sugar. If i cold turkey my processed sugary food I think my blood still has to much insulin in it so I feel horrendous - its not the salt thing - I got a continuous glucose monitor and saw that my blood sugar was just very very low.
Conversely Ive been on Keto and straight up decided to indulge in sugary birthday cake and its the first time in my life I have vomited from food. I never understood why parents at kids parties always warn you that you’re gonna get sick if you eat too much sugar - if your baseline carb intake is closer to keto or carnivore then you will.
so just TAPER in to or out of any diet but especially one with radically reduced carbohydrates

    • @yay-cat
      @yay-cat 5 месяцев назад +1

when I got the CGM and started a keto stint I saw my blood sugar was low for about a week. i could see that I would have say 3 extreme dips in blood sugar in the night and the timing lined up with when my smartwatch said I was waking up. Usually i try keto and then after a week I crack and steal a soggy piece of toast out a toddlers hand in desperation (that only happened once haha), but then provided I dont mainline sugar and just have a small amount of low GI carbs, I can normally “get into keto” on week 2. So for me its better to do week 1 still has some root veggies and low GI carbs but no sugar. or like only 1 single sweet before bed. then I get progressively stricter.
obviously I realise mainlining sugar is not fantastic but sometimes I want to take a break from my ADHD meds and then sugar is my old crutch. I think with my particular flavour/ presentation of ADHD I need to have some carbs and can never go ultra low carb - think my brain struggles to process ketones as well as it does sugar

So many people share these successful carnivore stories which was one of the reasons I became carnivore. I went all in and it has been a bit over 5 months now. I don’t feel all the amazing benefits everyone talks about. I do have some though, but some days are just so frustrating that really makes me want to go back to keto but I don’t want to. I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of just eating meat when you’re hungry. I have tried everything. High protein, high fat, no cheese, heavy cream, no sweeteners, no coffee, I drink my electrolytes, and take care of my circadian rhythm, but I still have horrible restless nights which continue with horrible days as I am so tired my mood is the worst and I have to push myself to make it through the day. No energy etc. I have no idea why. On top of that, I have gained SO MUCH weight my clothes won’t fit and I didn't have that issue my weight was just fine. Dunno, I guess I'm just frustrated tbh as there's so much conflicting info out there.

Magnesium is very, very helpful to eliminate restless nights. However, I must ask, did you take the nose or arm c-19 vaccines? If so, that is a whole other situation.

@@RepentOnlyJesusSaves Actually, God didn’t do this for me. I follow Jesus true doctrine and God doesn’t do things for us; WE OBEY HIM. If we remain spotless and blameless and are faithful till the end, then we’ll be able to enter heaven (1 Cor 1:8/1 Cor 6:9/Mt 7: 21-23). By grace we are saved THROUGH FIDELITY (Eph 2: 8-9). Grace G5485 means the divine influence upon the hearts (the leading of the spirit). We are not saved by the works of Moses' law, but through OBEYING the Holy Spirit which will guide an honest heart into all truth (John 16:13). This is when we deny ourselves, ungodliness, and worldly lusts and eventually reach perfection (Titus 2:11-12/ Mt 19: 16-22).
The mark of the beast is not about the vaccine, that is deception. The mark of the beast is on sinful men who have fallen from God’s glory, who are carnal-minded and follow their fleshly lusts and desires instead of giving up their lives to follow Jesus (Gal 5: 3-5/Rom 3:23/Mt 16: 24-25).
The mark of the beast is the mindset (forehead) and the actions (hands) of disobedient people who think that God will allow sinful men into heaven. This mark is on everyone who follows false teachings about Christ and who believes that He is a cover for our sins and that we have been given a free pass into heaven even with sin still in us. This is the doctrine of the false church which has created a corrupt image of our perfect Jesus who did not sin, and we MUST be like Him to be acceptable in God’s eyes (1 Peter 2: 21-22/Rom 1:23/Rev 13: 14-17). The mark is on everyone who rejects the truth about God and the way to salvation which is to repent, stop sinning, and reach perfection. If we are not like Jesus, then we are not acceptable in His eyes.
I urge you to reconsider as it seems you’re referring to the false doctrine of the false church which revelation talks about. The false churches are referred to as the harlot/prostitute. The waters are the false doctrines (people, multitude, nation, tongues), and the drunk ones are the deceived ones who are listening to them because they do not want to lose their lives (Rev 17).
Revelation 13: 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name (character), and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

@@lorenasarabia653 Amen and well said. I don't disagree with what you have spoken.
The only thing to realize with the marked ones is that there is always a physical fulfillment of spiritual things and a spiritual fulfillment of physical things. We hear the Lord Jesus and obey Him in the physical world. Those who don't hear or hear and don't obey physically (the Holy Spirit, not the law of Moses) are most definitely marked spiritually. But as we are at the end of the age, all flesh is being corrupted, just as it was in the days of Noah. The marked ones also are being marked physically.
Once their jean-etics are changed, they have 3 strands of dee-enn-ay according to the patents. This is not longer a true human as God created. This is not longer something made in the image of God. This change is carried forward to children born. It won't be long now that there won't be any flesh remaining (true humans) unless Jesus returns very soon. May Jesus bless you my friend.

There's no one fit diet; sometimes, with a change in diet, people's bodies recover from the prior addictions. Fasting, that is, water fasting, is incredibly healthy. Or even a juice fast, once a week, or a beef broth fast works.
The vegan diet, which I was on for a while, can be difficult on the body after a while. It's just that I've tried that Keto diet, and it doesn't work for me.
SUGAR is a problem in our world, so giving that up helps.
    Carbs overloading is a problem.
A fast cleanses us out and revives our willpower.
The fast helps with arthritis and other wonderful things.

I went to a holistic doctor and she said my liver isnt working properly. I dont know if that was from the carnivore diet or something I had before. Long story short after a 4 year absence of not going to the dentist, I had 2 infected root canals and cavities. Im very hopeful that once I get my teeth healthy I can try carnivore/animal based diet again and get results.

Animal products are too good. Fruit is pretty good. Most other plant 'foods' are nasty. I think the idea that plant foods are cleaners is interesting because it seems that our body is trying to clean the plant foods out of us, which is why digestion gets so messed up. Maybe it takes some other toxins with it, but I think animal fat solves that problem, too, in a better way.

Most carnivores will not consume honey. I did carnivore for 3 months with honey & by the end, my adrenal fatigue was through the roof. When I tried zero carb, I was unable to sustain it as I suffered from low blood sugar episodes because my body was not able to produce its own glucose. Using stored glucose is an emergency response when the body senses it might be in a famine. But my body was too stressed to do that. My health has improved significantly since reintroducing fruit, honey, & maple syrup - more animal-based rather than carnivore. I've shared my experience extensively on my channel & why I don't believe carnivore is healthy in the long-term. It's far too stressful for the body, not unlike veganism. Of course, there are people who thrive on it & I won't disregard their experience but in my opinion, carnivore is just another bandaid. My gut suffered after carnivore & now I have to completely rebuild my gut flora.
