Hunter Guide is up next!!! Subscribe to check it out when it goes live! EDIT: CONTROLLER players: turn off your vibration, because you’ll be annoyed of the constant shooting of risk runner in 5 minutes. ALSO: I do use Levi’s breath on PC, but I give alternatives in the video. (For those that don’t know, you’ll see a slight bump in damage if your frames are super high on PC (mine are at 59 and my capture card moves it to 60, so anyone who is saying in the comments that my damage is more because I'm on PC is mis-informed) The point of the build is smooth, consistent, safe phases! This also doesn’t require a ton of swaps, just a few, and ALL of them of very doable in controller/console. Thanks y’all!!
Well people have specific call-outs, like Pizza, Divide, Dots, Pancake, Burger, etc…. So you’d type those. Just type what you would normally call the symbol.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way you make your guides! So specific and detailed, yet easy to follow (even for my scatterbrain). Please don't stop making these! ❤
Absolutely awesome guide. Arc and riskrunner definitely carried me through this dungeon. The only thing I changed for the final boss was using Fire and Forget in the heavy slot for the final boss. I had it in both loadouts when swapping so I didn’t lose any ammo. It was a 5 phase
I use snap load finisher instead of melee kickstart it only uses 1 armor charge when you finiish a ghost. It frees up your melee and it’s usually pretty easy to get a single armor charge back at anytime.
Very well laid out! I hadn't thought of using the Stag at the final boss, but that makes a lot of sense! I'll be trying mine over the long weekend. Thanks for the loadout recommendations! At about 14:20 in...yes, I had to up my mobility a LOT to make that backtrack run for the catalyst. I ended up doing it twice (to help another) since I knew the way.
Instasub, thanks for speaking clearly and not as quick as possible like some ppl and takjng the time in the beginning to explain why we're using certain abilities :)
100k views and just 3k likes?! Mano, it certainly isn’t due to poor content, because this was a damn good guide that I just used when stuck at the second encounter not wanting to ruin my flawless. I’m on to the last boss now with flawless still in hand!
thank u sm!! i just finished the solo gotd dungeon after weeks of struggle ur guide was and is the best for us warlocks, took me 300 mins and alot of fails but i soloed it!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video! Just want to mention...in the first encounter. If you guys have Xenophage...it LITERALLY one taps the witches as you go from symbol to symbol. Risk runner is great for the rest of the dungeon but Xeno demolishes that first encounter. Thank me later :)
Made this before the folks on Reddit discovered it, and every other RUclipsr copied the Vesper Build. TBH it’s fine, but I like the movement better for this, especially since it’s not about placing random wells and sitting there - it’s about more movement. Lots of folks misunderstand this build because they don’t realize the amplified on command (without getting a grenade kill) is Goated. But to each their own! Hope this helped!
@@TheManoDestra agreed on the mobility. My preference is just mine, and for me having a grenade + regular arc soul, in addition to the jolt from the rift makes it more survivable. But the exotic armor is the only change I made here and this is a very helpful guide. Much appreciation for the video.
Such a detailed guide. Thank you for explaining why you are using these mods. I would have never known to use 3 solar damage mods with armor decay and melee kickstart. That makes so much sense. I would have wasted mods in those slots not giving me enough damage. As stated by others, well done man!!!
Thank you so much for this. Awesome video and you give great details man! Way more helpful than any other dungeon guides out there! And it's nice seeing warlock solo instead of just bonk titans lol
This dungeon guide, and the titan as well, are fantastic. Though, I would like if you had one loadout for each boss, and then just had the loadout swap as an option.
This suggestion is possible for both bosses. However, risk runner and arbalest make those encounters a lot easier and less stressful. That’s why 2-3 loadouts would be needed: 1 for riskrunner, 1 for arbalest, and 1 for damage heavy weapon.
@@aaronjett6122 I just got my solo flawless the other day, with one loadout for each boss, so I know it isn’t a requirement to use two loadouts. Swapping mid fight is of course more optimal, but some people don’t got hardware that’s fast enough to swap, and some just don’t like it, like myself.
The tips and notes helped me confirm a lot of stuff that made my own Solo Flawless possible! I really appreciate highlighting Getaway Artist as well; it was a good reminder that they're extremely fun to use. The loadout swapping stuff was also a revelation, and something I never would have considered. It made my own run even easier. But, I'll be honest... I didn't do it on Arc. Tried it, but my damage was lacking and I died due to a chain of missteps that made me reconsider my approach. I got 3 cycles into Ecthar, still needing 3 more, and chose to change it up. So I stuck to what worked for me when running it before and used Sunbracers Dawnblade. If you can get the loop down and practice it, the only way you risk death is getting absolutely bursted down from 100 to 0, and that's kind of the beauty of it. Plus, it doesn't count on Artifact Mods, and most of it is accessible to everyone else! My own loadout is, obviously, Dawnblade with Sunbracers. Solar Grenade is a must, but the Class Ability for 99% of the run is Phoenix Dive. The 1% where it isn't is for DPS against Simmumah, which I'll get to later. Use Incinerator Snap for the melee, as it's far more consistent with Sunbracers. Aspects are Touch of Flame and Heat Rises, and the main Fragment you need is Ember of Empyrean, where you can extend Restoration by getting Solar final blows, either by ability or weapon. The rest are flexible, but my picks are Ember of Ashes for extra Scorch stacks, Ember of Resolve for even more healing and safety if Restoration runs out, and Ember of Singing to keep Phoenix Dive available whenever I need it. The key to the loop is getting Restoration active. Heat Rises allows you to consume your Grenade, giving a strong Cure for burst healing in a pinch. What it also does is, on Phoenix Dive activation, activates Restoration x2, which heals incredibly fast. If on controller, I highly recommend changing the input from long press to short press to get the dive to activate quickly and make it consistent! You want to be in the air above your enemy with Heat Rises active, use Incinerator Snap - aim at the ground since the projectiles have splash damage and spread Scorch, because Ignitions off the Snap activate Sunbracers! - and immediately Phoenix Dive afterwards. The 3 second timer for Restoration gets extended by the Snap kill, and Sunbracers is ready for you to throw up to 5 Solar Grenades! Drown enemies you need to kill in fire and keep the loop going: Being in the air keeps your melee charging faster as you get kills. If you can get the Snap into Phoenix Dive combo down, then you can effectively be immortal, and your only risk comes from a swarm of moths - which you should be destroying! Sunbracers is a World Exotic Drop, and from the Red War, meaning no expansions are necessary to have it available! The only requirement is to have a Legendary Primary Solar weapon in the Energy slot, and there are a bunch of options. CALUS Mini-Tool is probably going to be the popular pick, but some other options are the BxR-55 Battler from the 30th Anniversary, which is craftable with a highly synergistic combo for the build in Pugilist and Incandescent, the Ammit AR2, another craftable weapon, or even Epochal Integration, which comes curated with its own good PvE roll in Stats for All and Incandescent! If you want a direct replacement for CALUS Mini-Tool, try for a Bug-Out Bag. Unfortunately, it's not craftable. This opens up your loadout to need less loadout swapping. For Ecthar, I skipped out on gear swapping and kept my Exotic Heavy of choice on the entire time. Ecthar is also a fantastic place to practice your build. If in a group, if you're someone who's not diving into the water to hit the runes, get the loop down! Enemies won't be as plentiful in the Simmumah fight, so get to practicing and recognize how you'll survive. Simmumah is where I got a little more crafty. I did use loadout swapping for this fight, but had only two loadouts. The first phase loadout, and then the DPS loadout. Since I didn't have Riskrunner on, I kept Arbalest equipped the entire time, meaning I could go straight to DPS without worrying about having to swap mid-Deepsight activation. Drop the Well of Radiance, put the last symbol in, and pop the shield with Arbalest immediately! A quick reminder that Arbalest has Disruption Break, so I like to empty the entire Arbalest magazine before swapping to the DPS loadout. It's the same as the one Mano describes, except with my Solar loadout: The Stag helmet with Leviathan's Breath, and make sure Phoenix Dive is swapped for Healing Rift in the loadout! Well of Radiance will run out mid-DPS, so drop that Rift down when it's about to run out! This gives you more safety and will let you DPS the entire cycle. Then swap back to the Sunbracers set afterwards. Only needing to swap between 2 loadouts instead of 3! All the same tips apply, but just be more careful that you don't get drowned by the Arc damage.
you can do the risk runner tactic or you can just use trinity ghoul to clear out the mess with less effort and strategy alongside sunstar helmet to keep having that ark energy all the time charged and the bow with it
in the ecthar encounter if you biind your jump to scroll wheel up or down and spam it, you can easily outrun ecthar underwater pretty easy. i use it for warlock ledge skating but it works for all characters when underwater.
am i missing something? everyone always runs electrostatic mind and the fragment spark of ions, but the aspect builds all of the functionality of the fragment anyway, right?
thank you for this video, it helped alot and i will be attempting this as my first ever solo! Im not gonna try flawless but will defo try not die but if i die i wont be upset :)

Very good guide. only changed final boss damage class to 3 Root weapons for bonus damage with briars was a solid 4 phase first try. didnt get flawless. died at first boss so im going to have a look at other weapons instead of lament like legend of arcius. would highly recommend this video thought. even with the 4 different loadouts it was very easy to run on console. Gonna try again for a flawless before the end of the season
One thing that might be useful to note is that the arc soul you get from getaway artist and the rift with the aspect do the same damage, getaway just gives an extra way of generating arc souls
A few things here: 1) For Coldheart vs. Riskrunner - The difference is you don't get the added benefit of arc conductor which helps to protect you (which helps significantly through the whole dungeon) 2) For Fallen Star vs GAA, there are some fundamental misunderstandings of the differences: Getaway Artists offer - - Instant Amplified (instead of picking up Ionic Trace/Ability Kill) - Extended Timer for Arc Souls (14 vs. 20) - Instantly overpowered arc soul (5 shots versus 3) When you're amplified, you do basically make an arc sould that will shoot 5 shots, but you can't get the extended timer, and you cannot instantly proc Amplified. When using the artifact with Shock and Awe, (with this build) you essentially jolt everything with your arc soul, and then get zillions of ionic traces. Fallen Sunstar has some great value proposition - The difference is that it requires you to get a kill or generate those ionic traces, and also, I find that it's harder to easily (which is the key word here) proc the interaction of amplified and the arc souls. I haven't tested using a different aspect instead of arc soul (which is a potential benefit here, you can proc Arc Soul with GAA without the aspect) but I don't find that the sliding-melee to really have a ton of uses in PVE, and honestly gets people into MORE trouble than less. In addition, not everyone has coldheart and Fallen Star, whereas EVERYONE has riskrunner, and could probably get Getaway artist. I find that world drops are plentiful whereas you'd have to do a Lost Sector and pray that you'd get Fallen Sunstar. With the exotic engram changes, I think it's still a more accessible build than Fallen Sunstar. So the value prop of GAA vs. Fallen Sunstar: 1) Easier to chain 2) Amped on command 3) With the artifact, jolt EVERYTHING 4) extended timer to jolt 5) as many or more Ionic traces/orbs as Fallen Sunstar For folks struggling to get into Solo Flawlessing content, it's a far more accessible build, IMO. But again, you all do you! I plan to test out a bunch more builds with this dungeon, and running more, so I'm definitely going to see what vibes with me.
@@chrisharris7903 I totally get people running Sunstar. But calling GAA a waste is missing the point of the build: GAA allows you to instantly get amped, and most importantly, creates a SENTIENT arc soul, which shoots much faster and deals more damage to enemies. Along with that, it also jolts all the targets, which means that combined with the other parts of the build, you basically get the benefit of Sunstar, BUT ALSO have enhanced ways to be amped, and a better damage dealing buddy. It also means you can infinitely spam the enhanced version of Arc soul, meaning more traces, more orbs, more health, more rifts and more life. The problem with FSS is that if you are stuck without getting ionic traces, you are stuck without your abilites, and potentially in a spot of danger. Higher end players might be able to negate this, but this guide is for everyone, and offers the safest way to get this done. Also, some people may not have farmed lost sectors, whereas the GAA is a world drop. (Although, I'd argue that you should be able to do lost sectors as a practice to doing a solo flawless dungeon!) Totally understand if you prefer FSS though. You do you Boo. Thanks for watching :)
Very well done guide. Although, something extremely important to mention in Echtar is that Lament is used for damage as well as healing. Falling Guillotine will not work with this build, at least not for average players.
Not really, it just helped me shuffle my stats a bit. There are lots of other ways to focus armor that can spike higher than artifice. You just can’t move 3 points around. That’s all
I was wondering why bother with Getaway Artists. Look, I like these mitts as much as the next guys- they look cool (nice ornament) and I got a great roll on one- but you’re amplified all the time with Electrostatic Mind and Arc Soul gives you Arc Buddies. So, these have felt redundant. But, after watching this, I see it’s nice to have an Arc buddy AND a Healing Rift in your pocket.
Isn’t spark of ions redundant with electrostatic mind? You would get more benefits from a different fragment because you already create ionic traces from the aspect
Took a lot from this guide and managed to get a solo flawless in my first run! Probably helps I've already solo'd it) A fantastic guide that breaks down each encounter and build very well. Thank you for making this.
I was excited to see all of the arc focused mods this season. I have loved Riskrunner since I first acquired it. Came in extremely handy on Nessus during the black armory days. Anyway, good stuff my guy, thank you.
@@TheManoDestra 6 hours in today, got the boss down to half. Managed Echtar after a million phases after I fell on the last jump to get to him! I just need to learn the mechanics more, only done it 3 times so it’ll come to me!
I tried this dungeon once. Got to the second encounter and got stuck. I could get to the damage phase but got killed by the boss. Lament will prevent that. I didn't realize you don't lose ammo when you swap weapons.
Swapping isnt viable on wave 1 old gen xboxs, tried its not working...so ill have to rethink and rework the build for old gen friendly whether this build gets me through is a different story, wish me luck
It’s because these guides are basically for pc players who can change their frame rates. We can not do that on console and take way more incoming damage and also do not output as much damage. Maybe if you have an absolutely crap connection it might work but are more likely to just get kicked from the game. As for swapping loadouts…
i could be wrong, but i think he was making a joke about how the other melee for stormcaller warlock is so outclassed by ball of lightning, and it’s not a question of which melee to use, as you will only ever choose ball.
I'm always amazed how easy people make solo'ing these dungeons look! I've been trying to farm the first encounter just to get some good weapons but his video acually gives me hope, hadn't considered using Risk Runner, was a favorite back in the day, I look forward to giving this a try when I get home from work tomorrow. Thanks again for your video, I'll comment and let you know how it goes :P Also, I noticed you didn't mention your stats, are they not as important? I mean I did notice the 100 resilence and I mean obviously lol, but are the stats not as important as the mods and weapons?
haven’t kept up with any of the changes since light fall dropped, but do armor charges grant some kind of passive effect (without a decay mod) and that is why you use melee kickstart to hold onto the charges? you mentioned using that mod to hold onto charges, but idk the reason to hold onto charges without spending them. i might’ve missed you mentioning it in the video but if you reply thank you!
That, was far and away the most comprehensive dungeon guide I’ve ever seen. Fantastic; well done man

Yup, would rather use crown or the spikey helm, and if I'm being honest.. I use cold heart and not risk runner all the time.
A few things here:
1) For Coldheart vs. Riskrunner - The difference is you don't get the added benefit of arc conductor which helps to protect you (which helps significantly through the whole dungeon)
2) For Fallen Star vs GAA, there are some fundamental misunderstandings of the differences:
Getaway Artists offer -
- Instant Amplified (instead of picking up Ionic Trace/Ability Kill)
- Extended Timer for Arc Souls (14 vs. 20)
- Instantly overpowered arc soul (5 shots versus 3)
When you're amplified, you do basically make an arc sould that will shoot 5 shots, but you can't get the extended timer, and you cannot instantly proc Amplified.
Fallen Sunstar:
1) Easier to chain
2) Amped on command
3) With the artifact, jolt EVERYTHING
4) extended timer to jolt
5) as many or more Ionic traces/orbs as Fallen Sunstar
For folks struggling to get into Solo Flawlessing content, it's a far more accessible build, IMO.
(Although, I'd argue that you should be able to do lost sectors as a practice to doing a solo flawless dungeon!)
Totally understand if you prefer FSS though. You do you Boo. Thanks for watching :)
just an fyi that thunderously retort is bonus damage when critically wounded OR amplified
Beautiful video!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great guide, very informative
Really really good guide, tnx
Best guide. Other guides i just end up at the tower for some reason?
Very well done guide. Although, something extremely important to mention in Echtar is that Lament is used for damage as well as healing. Falling Guillotine will not work with this build, at least not for average players.
True, but with this build you potentially can just use your rift if you need to.
Man that was a great video!!
nice i got it too, thank you so much
You also can play Karnstein :D with the Season mods its very nice!
I haven't had the time to play this season due to my jobs but maybe i can do this
Haven't managed to flawless the Necromancer yet... I'll be back when I do.
hi, thank you for the guide. best one out there.
@ 28:22 for breaker loadout why are u having void scavenger when u dont have any void weapon yet?
Amped up mid is an absolute must if you want to be able to just stand in your rift as shown in the video.
That’s the benefit of running Getaway artists - consume grenade, instantly amped.
This would be good an all but for not having artifice armor still makes this completely challenging.
Having to switch between multiple load outs makes me head spin - amazing video though!
Isn’t spark of ions redundant with electrostatic mind? You would get more benefits from a different fragment because you already create ionic traces from the aspect
keep up the good work man!
Thanks, will do!
Hopefully this build works I don’t use warlock, the titan build worked until ectar was not doing enough dps with hammer and tractor..
I get lost the second I finish the first vail wizard. Super frustrating
Boss is leaving this man to walk around but he’s on my tip 24/7
Thank you earned a sub
I don't have any Bipod heavy and purple bricks don't drop that much between phases. I keep going into the fight with 13 ammo on Lament :/
what i came up with when i did it.
divide
equal table
needle
U
3 dots
yay
eye
pizza
I would highly recommend spark of resistance, very op for this dungeon
Certainly is! BUt since the artifact for this season allows me to be more resistant when amped, I just use that and get other benefits elsewhere
I agree with Ions. I've tried both, and Ions is WAY more survivability.
Took a lot from this guide and managed to get a solo flawless in my first run! Probably helps I've already solo'd it)
A fantastic guide that breaks down each encounter and build very well. Thank you for making this.
I’m going to masterwork riskrunner today
Can you make a season 22 guide for warlock please? im getting blastet left and right with this build...
hell yeah, thanks mano!!!
Thanks for watching!!!!
Thanks for watching
Almost the exact build ive been using but i orefer coldheart. Ill give risk runner a try though.
Do have any. Video for. Titan. Dungeon run this new dungeon
Sure do --- I mentioned it in this video. Link: ruclips.net/video/1sKJ0Kld4-g/видео.html&lc=UgyQ808sj0UwNhW6T654AaABAg
I was excited to see all of the arc focused mods this season. I have loved Riskrunner since I first acquired it. Came in extremely handy on Nessus during the black armory days. Anyway, good stuff my guy, thank you.
Side note, I am convinced I am the only long time D2 player that does NOT have an eager edge sword. The shame.
Apparently my bro doesn't have an eager edge sword either, LOL. Don't worry, it's all good!
@@DEEVIL I got it today by using 3 deepsight harmonizers along with some older crafting progress I had.
@@BewilderBeast991 Guess I'll stop messing around and get on it after work today then.
So they finally fixed getaway artist? Because I remember the bad boy was the same as the amped arc soul when Arc 3.0 dropped
Assuming that need a +5 resilience on the exotic arms to fit the mods on? Loving the guide!
Thanks so much!!! Basically, just put on whatever is gets your armor to 100 resil!
@@TheManoDestra 6 hours in today, got the boss down to half. Managed Echtar after a million phases after I fell on the last jump to get to him! I just need to learn the mechanics more, only done it 3 times so it’ll come to me!
Damn, its so much more challenging to switch builds on console because it so slow. Wish we could adjust how fast we can scroll or something.
Looking forward to the hunter guide.
Soon!
That Ogre is definitely a Cyclop, who's to blame for naming that one, the incompetents from Bungie that have no clue or connection to their product
I tried this dungeon once. Got to the second encounter and got stuck. I could get to the damage phase but got killed by the boss. Lament will prevent that. I didn't realize you don't lose ammo when you swap weapons.
I've been having more luck with Vesper of Radius and Nezeracs sin.
Are this builds / arcstrats still valid in season of the wish? I am thinking of trying to reach GR 11, would be my first solo dungeon ever....
Swapping isnt viable on wave 1 old gen xboxs, tried its not working...so ill have to rethink and rework the build for old gen friendly whether this build gets me through is a different story, wish me luck
Mano, you should become a youtuber. You're great at it. Ha ha ha ha
Tried on all 3 characters exactly the way you said and I still can't even get pass Ecthar power level of 1826
It’s because these guides are basically for pc players who can change their frame rates. We can not do that on console and take way more incoming damage and also do not output as much damage. Maybe if you have an absolutely crap connection it might work but are more likely to just get kicked from the game. As for swapping loadouts…
good video, just a heads up there is a 2nd melee for arc warlocks, you said there was only one choice lol
i could be wrong, but i think he was making a joke about how the other melee for stormcaller warlock is so outclassed by ball of lightning, and it’s not a question of which melee to use, as you will only ever choose ball.
@@tylercarter9965 this is correct. I was being a little tongue in cheek, sorry 😅
Thanks again for your video, I'll comment and let you know how it goes :P
Also, I noticed you didn't mention your stats, are they not as important? I mean I did notice the 100 resilence and I mean obviously lol, but are the stats not as important as the mods and weapons?
Did you make it?
@@SMC4free what do u mean? I didn't finish the dungeon, couldn't do the second boss but I was able to TECHNICALLY farm the first encounter
@@tech9d Ok aight👍 Im trying to do it solo...
@@SMC4free yrp! It's possible, I'm just bad at the game lol
Everytime I have him in his last damage phase, I end up dying in the water. I hate this boss so much.
Thanks for this guide! FYI, it looks like your chapter/segments are off. It shows 3rd encounter while you're still fighting Edgar
Will check out here shortly, thanks! P
Edgar 😂
@@GetGwapThisYear fixed the time stamps, thanks for letting me know!
haven’t kept up with any of the changes since light fall dropped, but do armor charges grant some kind of passive effect (without a decay mod) and that is why you use melee kickstart to hold onto the charges? you mentioned using that mod to hold onto charges, but idk the reason to hold onto charges without spending them. i might’ve missed you mentioning it in the video but if you reply thank you!
hold onto the charges so that when you swap to your dps loadout you will have them up for weapon surge mods (on geomags) to work
@@trunganhtutran9723 ohh, that makes sense, not too versed with using multiple loadouts in a run so i didn’t think of that. thank you!
Swapping my loadout in Ecthar reset all my abilities. Have things changed? I thought it was just PVP that did that.
That means you have an aspect or a fragment that is different between your two swaps. Just double check those, and then you should be good!
Great vid 👌 never thought of doing dungeons, but you've made me think this is doable 😊
Wow it took me 10x to get the first part haha
