I break down the terrible pack odds. With the pack odds being so bad, only players who spend thousands of dollars will be able to get the best cards in the game as it is super hard to make MT. I hope this helps your no money spent, budget or god squad.

They want to inflate the AH so people buy VC instead and buy packs with VC.
That argument only works when the best cards are 100-200k MT
Right now to buy a PD via packs is like $450 (figure you need to buy ten 20 boxes with 0.5% odds) whereas a million MT is $70
When the imbalance is that high people are willing to risk being banned so it actually _hurts_ VC sales
I don't think 2k cares at all about AH prices because their strategy is the same as last year:

I feel like they released Pink diamonds and Diamond cards way too early their only should’ve of been Sapphires, Rubys, & Amethyst cards
I thought the same thing about the pacing
It was all apart of their plan to make the people who spend thousands on the game a HUGE advantage
If you actually look at the PD cards they are very similar to diamonds from last year.
The power curve issue is more about WHO is being released
But you can introduce 97's mid season two then 98's with updated sigs in Jan and DM's starting at All-Star.
Although I agree the game is more fun when it's like 2k22 and you have good sapphires, rubies and amethysts throughout the fall
@josemejia9831 they need to make money. Nobody ripping packs for sapphires bro. The illusion of getting PDs is enough to get the addicts. The chance of you getting PD is so rare too.

Bro 2k has obviously made it clear they not gonna increase odds. You either buy the packs or don’t it’s not changing it’s been like this for the last few 2ks.
I didnt buy the game this year, i spent over 300 bucks the first half of last year. I wouldn't be so quick to assume they are doing better than ever, but yes its possible they are. Lets wait for the data tho.
I used to spent $300 on a Friday drop on packs; I don’t anymore but I know there’s others like me and spend even more than that. I’m sure they are doing just fine unfortunately lol

Yup they took out packs in South Korea too, because SK law required them to disclose pack odds. Wish we had the same law here in the US
Since the game came out I bought 50$ each Friday to open 20 box and haven't pulled any amethyst or diamond of course no pink from the set bro not even lying plus on a Tuesday drop put down $20 and nothing... 2k out here taking money
yeah it was the same in 2k23 then we bought mt. then they put crazy cards in packs that were too expensive like yao and who knows what happend after had to be there.I hope its not gonna be the same this year
They made it more fair for non payers but made it more of a rip off for the payers. I don’t mind it. I stopped giving them extra money long ago plus the my career season skip exists right now. Do it once and you get a 20 deluxe pack lol 😂
True, it’s very fair for f2p players and somehow people will still complain. Matching with a guy who has PD in a team (other then Tmac ofc) is nearly impossible.
There is a ton of budget cards. The only problem is majority of them are gems of the game and there is no packs to pull them to help make them accessible. Also how is nobody really running emerald thybull easily best budget 3-D in the game and probably is a top 5 3 and D wing.
Yep buying mt on a new account. I’m willing to take the risk of getting banned if it means I can get the cards I want with out having to be gambling my hard earned money

maybe up the odds on the free packs idk im tryna be a budget player but like you said i feel the need to buy packs to try and compete
So it's great I saved my money this year and picked DBZ instead. As a person in finance it makes sense. I make it harder to get the top cards which incentives' kids and or people who can afford it to spend more money on packs so they can have a chance to make enough MT. Then make it harder for people to get cards in the AH ie with the checking system and or waiting the 4 hours to get them. So now you want to pull the card so you can have it instantly
Tuesday drop is 1 percent for 6 cards and the rest of the cards emeralds, Safire cards basically worthless. Include cards from previous drops shareiff went from 23 to double his price. Barros price is ridiculous. I want Derrick Coleman no way he should be plus 200000

At this point...unless you're a snipe god....the only option is to spend money on packs hoping to get something to sell to make MT. I wish they made the final breakout board more lucrative than it actually is (87 Gems of the Game unsellable is the best I've gotten)

At the beginning of this year, I thought the idea of these Hidden Gems/Gems of the Game was a great concept, more variety for team building. But with these insanely awful pack odds, the lack of good rewards for grinding and also the impossibility of making MT from grinding, this game is in a bad state…and I’ve been optimistic but not anymore.
This is crazy Gems of the Game has duos but the Auction House is so locked up you can find one or the other madness!!!??
& it’s no way all these good cards going for over a million so everybody just got a million mt it’s bs it’s 2k inflating the bids
