I blame the Bengals coach. I feel like he takes very little criticism. Every single thing that happens in philly is blamed on Sirianni. Same with Shanahan in SF. Why is Zac Taylor not getting blame?

Having your starting QB (@ least) hurt just about every year leaves a lot of leeway.
I blame it on ownership and management. Any Bengals fan could see this coming. What turned about the Bengals is 2 off seasons ago, they let 3 of their secondary players walk. This included Jesse Bates III, arguably the best safety in the league. Then this off-season they let DJ Reeder walk, the anchor of the d-line and their best run stopper. Hendrickson is the playmaker at d-end, but Reeder was the soul of that d-line. The defense got gutted, and it shows.
This year has shown most well rounded teams are winning even with average qbs. And Qb focused teams are struggling.

Taylor calls a conservative offensive gameplan that does a disservice to the team's talent... also the offensive line is never in sink no matter how high a caliber personell they get in the offseason, eventually it's not the players on the oline and it's more how they're being coached... the team also gets a lot of stupid penalties.. again.. coaching...
There should be a cap on % of time that Nick speaks. We are here for all 3, not just Nick.

Of course Burrow is one of the biggest reasons they're winless. He wasn't special in week two and awful in week one. They don't pay him top shelf money to run an above average offense. And stop with the excuses about the bad defense. We never let that fly for Peyton Manning or other elite QBs. Joe Burrow gets nothing but special media darling treatment from the media because he's somewhat good against the boogeyman Chiefs and he had a miracle SB run. It's maddening to see the double standards at play. He doesn't get the same scrutiny as other QBs in the league. Coming into this year I had to hear about how bad Josh Allen was going to be and that he's overrated, or how Lamar isn't an elite QB. But Burrow can be an injury prone, slow starting, and at times inconsistent...sure.
KC has also played to the level of their competition. Every game they have had, came down to last play. Eighth grader comment! So weak!

Nick's defense of the Cowboys makes him look silly and like he's trying too hard to defend them. There are easily 7 teams better than the 1-2 Cowboys. It makes him look more like a character playing a role than a serious analysts. I also feel this way about Brou and the Ravens. And Wildes with the Patriots.

Yeah it seemed like every year NE showed started week one 6-0. You go 5-5 the rest of the game you're 11-5 and fighting for a number 1 seed. If you get 6-4 now, you're 12-4 and. Not saying NE wasn't good. But NE could have been average team and still been a number one seed almost every year. But to be pretty much gifted 6 wins every for 20 years there helped a lot. The division was horrible almost every year he was there for 20 years.

If you blame Trevor Lawrence for the Jags being 0-3 then you can blame Burrow for the Bengals.
If you actually watch the games then you know that context is king.
The difference is that Burrow himself has played well enough to win two of those games. In any reasonable world, if your offense scores 33 points and has zero turnovers or punts, you win the football game. The Bengals' defense played down to competition.
And then in the Chiefs game, if the defender didn't call the most blatant DPI possible except perhaps the Chiefs one vs the Falcons, then the Bengals win again.
TLaw was awful against the Browns, against the Bills, and while he wasn't the *sole* reason for the loss against Miami it's pretty clear that the Dolphins have a pretty bad defense so he _shouldve_ won that one (but of course ETN was probably the bigger part to that)
