Oh that clip stash is grande. Very good view and explanation of all the details. Little Roo Pollo is so silly but cute! Love his mottled coloring. His voice is deeper, I bet he’s practicing crowing.
Thanks a bunch for posting this! I had to take off panel to replace mirror. You made it so easy! Panel off, mirror replaced, and panel reinstalled in less than 30 minutes!
Thank you very much for this video. My window fell out of the track and you just saved me a good deal of money by making an easily to follow and well shot video of how to take care of the issue
Thank you so much for this Faye, you are a godsend for this! I brought a 2011 TRD sport (Crew Cab in Silver Mica) that was used and the previous owner neglected it quite a bit. It's missing a few things, and I am slowly doing repairs and what not on it as far as the interiors go. I've been looking online on eBay for the Passenger luggage compartments that go behind the backseats. The previous owner put a stupid subwoofer box in it and Jerry rigged the wiring throughout the floor of the cab! It took me hours to carefully remove! Worst part is that the previous owner had a dog, so there was fur on some of the upholstery, I detailed cleaned the interior to the best of my abilities. I'm thinking if I should just replace the interior material instead just to save myself sometime. Tomorrow I do the coolant flush for it. Thanks to your vids, it's helping me learn some more and saving myself some money for to modify this truck later down the road. Please do some more 2nd generation Tacoma vids! I created a playlist specifically for it for DIY maintenance.
I miss those simple door panels. These newer car panels have a lot more going on than I think they should. Lol also love your chickens they are such great pets.
Faye if you ever retire please consider being a community college auto tech instructor or even a guest instructor. The industry needs more happy talented people like you. Also Roo is very chill rooster in my book
Great video! So informative. And Oh my gosh! I never realized those pop clips pushed in to release! I've broken so many of those prying them out! I knew they pushed to lock, but release? Mind blown.....
I have a 2015 Tacoma and just noticed that pop clip as you call it is missing on the driver side door. This is the only video I came across that addresses that piece. Thanks. 👍
I had no idea those little clips with the post in the center could be removed like that. Super helpful. I knew they had the piece in the center that pushed in, but my method, or lack thereof, for dealing with them was not nearly as graceful as your technique. Looking forward to trying it your way.
Had another success from you coaching ,fog lights in and functioning with dash switch, all wires were there like you said :) Thanks again .Next up if mirrors are power ????
Today is Tuesday. TSB... oh wait. Hmm. Enjoyed the video. I now how to remove the door panel and carefully removing those darn clips I tend to break. I gotta say. Mr Pollo got more than just a cameo. He got some love.
Gold Master Faye oh my holy clip stash!! That drawer is amazing!! Another fun and informative video. Thanks for sharing! Oh how come your Roosters dont crow and make interruptions as much as Samcrac's do? :)
girl you freaken rock!! cool that your a libra!! my bday is on the 28th of sept!! love all girls garage and all the videos and content! watching from missouri!!🖖👍🤘
Interesting about the phillips screwdrivers. Info many don't know. In 1975 my 74 Ford F-250 was broken into in Yucca Valley California by prying open the vent window. Toolbox behind the seat was opened. All I could see missing was one #3 phillips screwdriver. Why nothing else, I don't know. The police officer doing his report had no idea there were such descriptors for phillips screwdrivers. Other vehicles were also broken into. I always watch your videos. I see I just missed your birthday. Happy Birthday.
Nicely done. Easier to Watch then those other ones. yes a coffee can or drawer of retainers are a must. cars that A/C condensers came with Brake Master cylinders. Power steering Pumps ETC. All good for R&R. Diagnosing. you are Passing on great Info. Thank you.
I miss the good old days when door panels were attached with just plain philips screws and manufacturers weren't afraid to leave exposed screw heads showing. I've always found the cheapie little plastic clips almost impossible to remove so that they're re-usable. Oh, well...
Medical insurance is great, pay is flat rate which I think is kind of a lousy system. That's most places, but I'd prefer an hourly base salary with a flat rate bonus.
Great vid, Faye! Any chance you can do a video on a door lock actuator replacement for Toyota? As you know, it's a common failure on the older trucks. Ie, press lock/unlock on the fob but the door lock doesn't actually work.
I actually have a no. 4 Phillips head and have had to use it for plastic fasteners on fire trucks cause the no. 3 was way too small and stripping it out… using the tight tools make mechanicing so much easier
Hay faye, nice job on the door. This maybe in the wrong video but i just saw this vid seeing how i am on my way to work. I have a 4gen 4runner and the seat is not comfortable. Can I put a tacoma seat in from around the same year?
Question how do I repair the arm rest the one that has cloth material. I leaned on it pretty hard and it cracked. Does it come apart like the window controls or it's all a part if the door panel.
Question-looking at buying a higher mileage Toyota 4Runner to Tacoma. What should I worry about and look for? Looking at vehicles north of 150K miles. Thanks.
Hey Fay I'm a mecahnic of 14 years and I have a apprentice, Millie and she is probably my best apprentice yet how do you think I should help her to be even better?
Hey Faye. I got my dad's 93 toyota sr5 truck.. I don't know much about trucks so I'm going to ask you. The battery doesn't hold charge really well on this truck. It got a new battery and alternator. Still don't hold charge. My you help me out please so this old truck can be driven with out any worry. Thanks in advance..
Great content but all I have to say is cargo shorts are awesome I like the extra space for tools and parts maybe u could let my wife know they are dress cloths joking keep it up u work so hard
Faye, how is that broken clip called? My Suzuki has the same type and in all God's honesty, don't know how they're called(upgrading interior from grey to black so the old ones are useless)
Would you be able to tell me of a good mechanic for transmission here in San Antonio Texas, I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner SR5, I already rebuilt the transmission but it gave up on me. I don’t want to sell my truck 😞
Shoot, I have no clue, I am so sorry. It took me a while to find someone to help me with my VW transmission, and he worked out of his house down on the South Side! I don't think I still have his info....
Haha you're so right, I've been told that before. But as someone who uses RUclips a lot to learn things, I want to make what the at home diyer or shade tree mechanic needs - even if that means less views for me. It's ok. But I really appreciate the feedback, and I know you're right 🙏🏻
The best friend of a cars painter it's the flat screwdriver; i broke so many clips (= 'grapas' in this context, in spaniard) that every time i've to take out a door pannel i get really angry, some times i burn so much in wrath that i grow two sizes and God help you if you talk to me while i'm working on ya fuckin' car. Disclainer: I never said i was a good person or just sane at all. Another best friend of a cars painter it's the car's manual, it's better than the Bible; the answers are there and check this out, it have drawings!!, the Bibles that i readed didn't, and i'm kinda glad about it.. .

Great video! I had to do this exact thing a week ago 😁 You make it look so easy!!
Great video! So informative. And Oh my gosh! I never realized those pop clips pushed in to release! I've broken so many of those prying them out! I knew they pushed to lock, but release? Mind blown.....
Thank you Faye I really needed that since I am having problems with my passenger door window so now I know how to remove my door panel.
I have a 2015 Tacoma and just noticed that pop clip as you call it is missing on the driver side door. This is the only video I came across that addresses that piece. Thanks. 👍

Does Toyota have good pay and good medical insurance?
Medical insurance is great, pay is flat rate which I think is kind of a lousy system. That's most places, but I'd prefer an hourly base salary with a flat rate bonus.

What are the plans with the air cooled VW engine parts? I just started watching so forgive me if everyone knows.
Good idea having a bunch of those clips around. I always break something when i remove door panels. Old plastic clips ugh
Faye, how is that broken clip called? My Suzuki has the same type and in all God's honesty, don't know how they're called(upgrading interior from grey to black so the old ones are useless)

Very sad the read door panel removal isn't shown.
I love your videos but honestly your titles are way too specific if you just left it generalized for any car i guarantee youll get more views

You got strong nails dude every time i try using my nails I always get super unlucky and bend it. Then follows the obligatory cursing..
I would put all those plastic body clips in a storage bin and put tools in my tool box.
Ah, but are they really Phillips or JIS? lol.
