They were the most influential band in history. They changed the face of music. Even today, with two of them dead and the other two in their eighties, they have still put out better music than anything produced today.

As a 15/16 year old in 1961/62, I was a regular in the Cavern Club at the lunchtime sessions watching John, Paul, George and Pete before Ringo joined and I loved them since then.
They had this aura around them.
I was also there the day Mr Epstein came to see them and John made a fool of him.
We all knew they were going to be big, but we didn't realise they would be this big and now 61 years after the 1st release, they release their last song......a fitting epitaph to the memory of "four lads who shook the world"
I'm no aged 78 and still living walking distance from the Cavern and love them more today as I did when I was 15.
    Best wishes from Liverpool ❤

Great reaction! My wife never really listened to anything Beatles related. Then we saw the Beatles show "Love" in Vegas and she was "I didn't know they had those songs!" When we got back home, she grabbed my ipod (that had 90% of their albums) and I never got it back. She would have gotten emotional if she was here to see "Now and Then".

This song started out as a demo in 1977 by John Lennon. He sang it while he played his piano onto a cassette. Flash forward to 1994, The remaining 3 Beatles Paul, George, and Ringo got together for the documentary Beatles Anthology This song along with Real Love and Free As A Bird was given to the remaining 3 by Yoko Ono to be finished as Beatles songs. Only Real Love and Free As A Bird was finished because they couldnt with the techology at the time lift Johns voice from the piano. Flash Forward again... Peter Jackson was working on the Documentary for Get Back. Where he used a sort of AI program to seperate tracks. Paul sent him the demo tape to see what he could do. Once that was finished they took parts that they attempted to do in 95, did new arraingments with Ringo and Paul. added Georges accustial guitar from 95 and Bingo.. You have the final original Beatles song.

As Paul McCartney left the Dakota in New York City on Saturday, April 23, 1976 after a visit with John Lennon, his former bandmate patted him on the shoulder. “Think about me every now and then, old friend,” he said. These would be the final words John spoke to Paul in person.

I was fortunate to have seen the Beatles live at the Cave4n club in 1962, I was docked at Liverpool and was introduced to the Cavern by a Liverpudlian shipmate. Nostalgic memories for me, but very sad knowing that George and John are no longer with us!

This song & video gives me such nostalgic vibes. I grew up with the Beatles music as a young girl. This also makes me a little sad since John & George are no longer with us (John was murdered in 1980 & George died of cancer in 2001). But I like the video showing them all together. I am sure Paul & Ringo loved doing this tribute & it must have brought back a lot of fond memories for them. The Beatles had a great sense of humor that is shown by some of the flashbacks & like seeing the costumes from Sgt. Pepper's album.

Its a very long story. You'll have to read up on how this came about. This is a song John wrote and it was on an old cassette. They used modern technology to bring John and George back and they are together one last time..makes me tear up

    • @RobertDavisAdman
      @RobertDavisAdman 6 месяцев назад

Basically technology (AI) was used only to separate John’s voice from the piano on the cassette that he recorded in the late 80s by himself. This was long after he had left the Beatles. Then around 97. I believe the anthology project was done and George Harrison recorded, acoustic and slide guitar. They tried to produce the song, but gave up because the difficulties and separating John’s voice from the piano with that technology available at the time so during the production of get back a little over a year ago, AI was used to successfully separate vocals from guitars and pianos, etc. Peter Jackson team enable this and developed a software program called Matt named after the Beatles Rodie, who was shot and killed by police. So using this AI technology, they were able to find produce the song now and then.

The roadie was called Mal Evans who was shot dead by police in 1976.
      John was murdered in 1980.

Also, look up how much beatles created and changed culture, the music industry and much much more. For instance, they refused to play segregated shows in the south when touring America in the 60s.

This is their last song. Lennon started writing this song but never finished it. His wife Yoko gave it to Paul and said, please finish it cause she said i know you will do it justice. So Paul got George & Ringo in the studio to finish the lyrics and music. George did not live to finish it with them. George died in 1997. That leaves Ringo & Paul to complete it them self's. When done it hit number 1 after 2 weeks of the release of it. The end of music Icons the last song. R.I.P John & George.

You should do a reaction to the 12 minute video describing how this song was created. I've seen a lot of other reactors do it as well. Just a couple notes. One is the Beatles consisted of 4 members, John Lennon on vocals and rhythm guitar, Paul McCartney on Vocals and Bass, George Harrison on vocals and guitar, and Ringo Starr on drums. The other thing is John Lennon was assassinated, shot multiple times in front of his NY City apartment by a crazed fan, and George Harrison died of cancer that many believe was brought on from a knife attack from a crazed fan 2 years earlier in his house .
Here's a link to the video:

Much of the old clips in the video are from the Hello Goodbye song promotion film, and outtakes not used in the official film, made in late 1967. the Hello Goodbye official film [not video tape] was 1sr seen in America on the Ed Sullivan Show in January 1968 when the song went to number one. Both the official and outtake versions have been seen floating around RUclips for quite a few years now, with the complete song for both on it, which is totally consuming to new folks and older fans who's memories are failing lol. But what is annoying to me on those is history is being rewritten by the confusion. Older people saying "I remember that, I saw that" when, nooo they didn't, they saw snippets of the original film combined with the outtakes not used, just now. Proper use of outtakes is in a video like this for fun. It is my belief that Lennon did NOT necessarily write this song for Paul, but as a new love song he might record, period. People say crap all the time and it becomes fact with no verification... people claiming he wrote the words "for Paul" on the cassette tape in 1977...oh really?...How do you know it wasn't Yoko years later? Were you there when he wrote it? How do we know ANYONE wrote anything on that tape? Okay I'm done here lol...

The bow at the end is from their 1964 movie "a Hard Days Night," however in the movie they did NOT fade away. Watch the movie for yourselves, fats cut, funny and you learn about what Beatlemania was like, how impactful they were even with simpler songs they started out with. they transformed rock and pop music, busted down the door for future bands.

Think of how overly saturated your world is with Taylor Swift, and understand that she doesn't have 10% of their fame. They couldn't even tour, due to Beatlemania. They couldn't play live, due to the screaming girls drowning out the amps. Those little girls are the reason modern amplifiers exist, and also what followed from turning those guitar amps up too loud.

John was referring to church attendance in Britain at that time, and he was right. British people knew exactly what he meant. Today, it's much lower. Only those fake religious lunatics , mainly in the southern states of America, ( realising the truth, that their illgotten fortunes were at risk, deliberately set off a mass hysteria ,that their young victims followed, by destroying who knows how much, in value, all their beloved records etc, of the beatles. Shades of the Nazis destruction of Jewish ART and books etc I've often wonderd what those 'victims' thought of their actions, later on, once they had matured.
