NO, that will not change the society we live in i'm afraid. You need to stop humans for feeling the need to steal from others, that is how you stop this from happening. A cure and prevention is better than an after thought of rage and boot camps. The banking system is the problem here, most of us humans have to live in poverty for the banking system to work, so those who have nothing will steal from others who have, its in our nature so its inevitable its going to happen and it does. So lets change our society so everyone can have whatever they want, no one should need for anything.
You be looking like a alien from space being in Newcastle with technology like that. They only just introduced kettles a year ago and are still confused how to use them. Good job getting out alive, that angels there for a good reason
hehe, yes Matty, they do ask you, but the problem is regardless of if you get your bike back or not, you're still putting in a claim and that's all they care about. Some give big discounts for proactive protection, like locked garages, certified anker bolts etc, as with those your bike stays put and you're less likley to claim on someone trying to take your bike. Some do offer a discount for things like trackers, but they're only using them as a calculation mittigating the cost for them, when getting the bike back as a write off. A tracker provides little for an insurance company at the moment. Thats not to say trackers aren't worth having installed, as this video proves. I'm sure the owner of the bike in the video will be more than delighted that he managed to get his bike back with not too much damage done to it. It could have been worse, joy ridden across the fields all night long and set on fire/ditched into a lake... even finding the bike dismantled, but complete would warrent it a write off by the insurance companies.
Just to add none of the stolen bikes we have recovered to the best of our knowledge have ever been written off, the majority of customers didn't even claim on their insurance for the broken locks, cut off discs or scratched panels as that would damage their Insurance claim profile for 5 years. Insurance hikes are really something to try and avoid. In our opinion motorcycle insures are way behind on the savings that can be made from approval of theft recovery systems and applying proportionate discounts. Carol Nash contacted us to test our services over 10 years ago with Northampton Police, we passed with flying colours but then Carol Nash was sold off to Groupama. They dropped any interest immediately in security initiatives and made circa 10 x Carol Nash specialist security engineers that were fitting kit to bikes redundant. Insures make money they don’t innovate solutions to lower premiums. We would always support preventative measures but a determined thief will not be stopped.

The Super Small is a cheaper wired solution but it has the same location technology as our self-powered Automatrics MTrack Proactive unit. Unlike our battery unit where you can add the optional remote control to arm the motion sensor presently we cannot detect a theft in progress with the Super Small, as it has no arming system although that will come later this year when we put it through new Thatcham certification. If unsure just call us for an update.
So coppers are allowed to drive one handed with no seatbelt while on the radio with other hand when there’s a cop in passenger seat ??? I wonder what the points/fine would be if I were caught doing that, And u guys at amtrack are awsome, love your videos.great work your doing.
My bike mate, and yes 450 quid it came to getting new ignition barrel and headlamp and fuel cap. No wires were tampered with so am guessing they had a van on stand by to take the bike.
Up to a point. The problem for these portables is that longer gets unwieldy. I don't think the copper driving would appreciate a poke in the back of the head. In any case, yagis are sensitive to "things" around the antenna (within 4-5 wavelengths). It detunes them and skews the directionality. More than a 4-5 elements on a portable rapidly runs into the law of diminishing returns. Longer antennas tend to be attenuators, not gain devices, and the directionality nobbles initial signal acquisition. If you want directionality you'd be better off using some form of cubical quad or parabolic, once you have a rough bearing. The quads are portable (but longish - you can slot 'em together though),but parabolics are what they are.

We don’t really have any statistics on that, but the UK prisons are overcrowded so they do try to avoid that penalty unless it involves burglary. We understand they are made to pay in terms of community service and possible fines for damage and inconvenience in court.
So did the crime victim have to pay for the bike to be recovered . Was the bike kept by the police for prints etc. What an excellent service thanks for the upload may well consider this
