Now you see that the emboshure mask of every player is complete different. So when you trumpet teacher says to you "make it this way or that way" it's pure nonsense.
I agree that different players can have different embouchures leading to good performance (this movie proves it....) but why consult a trumpet teacher if you say that he speaks pure nonsense? He should take your physical being into account, and give you advise (= teaching you!). This can involve that you have to (try to) change things in your embouchure ;-)
