@@angelocp yes there is I watch it the other day. I was responding a big baitcast real and wanted to leave some of the old mono on and that's what I used to tie my braid too.
With #1 I think it only works with mono and fluorocarbon, if remember correctly I had issues with braided coming undone too easily. Thanks for the great Vid Skipper, keep it up
Awesome video! I've seen that first knot called an Arbor knot. It's used for securing fly line backing to reels....and I never would have thought to use it on a swivel! Thanks!!!!!
Thanks Hey Skipper awesome video, knots 1 and 3 are new to me. Have you ever had issues with the dropper loop knot breaking under moderate pressure? I can't figure out if it was the brand of fluoro or the knot itself, the fish weren't toothy and the location of the break appeared to be right at the dropper loop. I plan to switch over to Seaguar because I think the Maxima Fluoro may have failed on 20lb and 30lb.
However I grew up fishing the surf in California, and did not ever use a barrel swivel, and never had any problems. So now I will test using one just to see if it makes difference.
Hey Skipper. I'm relatively new to your channel been following for a few weeks now and noticed you talk a lot about your super salty squidy bits. Im from South Africa so it would be difficult and expensive to purchase so I have actually been trying making my own. still working on the technique though but so far good results. The idea is brilliant, no fluids to worry about and the flavour is still there and is a great convenience and easy to use. Besides that have been using all your rigs with success. so just want to say thank you!!!
Hey skip you should make hey skipper visors i think they would be a big hit with summer coming up and with my hightop haircut haha love the videos keep it up cant wait to try out my new tackle box and clamy bits in Daytona Beach fl
You should learn the improved facet knot it is killer. Look it up on how strong it is. It is so fast to ty, way way faster than the improved clinch knot. And much stronger. Check it out!
OMG That was a pain!!! But my eyesight is not good so it was really hard for me. What kind of line and size are you using? Youre knots look bulkier than my 15# mono knots? With practice I will learn to control the length of my loops. You look like yours are about 1 - 1.5 inches. Mine is like 4/4 inches long. lol
I so love your tutorials! But, I have a request if doable. I'm left-handed! Lol Therefore the steps don't really resemble exactly what yours do in the stages. Atleast for me! Are you amdexerious? Just wondering...think it would push me thru to completing the knots with more accuracy. I have yet to come across any of tutorials done left-handed so I'm sure I'm not alone! Thank you so much for providing the tutorials you do, as they fascinate me!
Just purchased some salted clam... But get this, I receive emails from you guys and I had trouble logging in my account. I could not reset my password, nor register again. Weird... Please help!
Dang! Email info@heyskiplerfishing.com and we will figure it out. We can put things on your account or maybe help you out in some way. Thanks for the support! 🙏🏼
Your first two way swivel knot, the very simple one. Couldn't you use that on a hook, too if you put the line through the eyelet first, then tied the double knot, then tied the second double knot.
That first knot is very similar to how you’re supposed to tie your line to your reel. On very light line, the knot at the end will slip itself undone. Wouldn’t recommend it.
Never heard of or seen the 1st or 3rd knot done, interesting I’ll have to give them a try, but let’s not forget the almighty polomar knot!
@Emmanuel Goldstein palomar on the other side too. fit the entire rod & reel thru the loop. lmao
Hope you have a nice day man
Same to you!
Love the Palomar and the uni knot as well. With the uni I like to pass through the eye twice.
Thank you for you showing how to doo these knots you make it so simple
Dude I’ll never forget number one. Just blew my mind. Showing my sons how to fish he is two and this will be the first knot I show him.
Great one. Now i need the braid to leader knots tutorial...this should definitely be the next one
If I'm correct he has one on it. Can't remember if it's the last video he did or it's further down the list.
Look for his tutorial on the Uni knot it's a great knot to tie braid to any other kind of line, even braid to braid.
@@charlesc2281 It is not. I have been waiting for that a loooong time. I use albright or double uni.

New to fishing 🎣.. now I’m always going to remember that Asian guy who showed me how to tie a fishing knot 👏 🫡

Have you tried going through the loop two or three times? It makes the knots a little bit bigger.

i found this helpful too
Thank you buddy very helpful and I love how you slow it down and really show move by move
Got my shrimpy and squiddy bits the other day... thanks! Can't wait to use them when I go to the Outer Banks! Thanks for this video as well!
This was actually the best tutorial on knots I've seen. As a beginner it's the first one i learnt something haha
Thank you!!!
Skipper can you do a video on fish sauce and if they work I think it be interesting
Time to tie the knot 😁
Thanks Skipper
If I've not yet connected the swivel to a leader line, I'll just tie a Palomar knot. Quick, easy, and strong. I can also tie it in the dark.
Love the video I was raised using number two and it's held up against every freshwater fish I've caught
Thanks for the tips
Sure!
Looks easy will it work on braid tho.
Liked your knot video.
Nice! Thank you 🙏🏼

That 2nd knot I literally use for everything. Not sure if it's supposed to be for everything but it's easy and strong
What is this knot called?
This is gold, thank you 👊🏼✌🏽
Great tutorial! Short and informative just like we need em!
Brenden, thanks for the nice tips!!!
This is awesome! I'm going to do more of this too.
G'day mate your doing a great job teaching the new comers to this great sport 🍻
Knot #3 is a Figure 8 on a bight hitched to the swivel with a Cow Hitch. The Figure 8 is a very strong knot.
Knot #3 is called a "figure 8 with a bite". We use that knot in the fire service and some use it for climbing. Great knot
Very nice👍👍👍
Missed a key part to tying ANY knot... Lubricate your line/knot before pulling tight. Do this to avoid line burn and risk weakening the knot.

It should help reduce line twists

Can those knots work on single loop swivels
All these knots work with braid right?
Can you use the first knot for hooks as well?
Heyyy buddy 😁
Hey!
First knot is an arbor knot btw
Yes!!!!, got here early
Thank you so much I just tied my first successful knot! My boyfriend says he wants a real fishing girl so here I come!

Was the 3rd one a double surgeons loop?
If your dad was fishing on the beach just south of Guana I think I gave him my left over sand fleas this past Tuesday. Looked just like him.
Can this knot be used on a rig

Hey Skipper. In the eyes of a climber Knot #3 is called a figure 8 knot on a bite. Can't wait for striped bass season to start in NYC.🎣
Thanks!
Mmm......not sure that is an 8 on a bite.
I always knew it as a surgeons loop attached to the swivel with a cow hitch
👍👍👍👍 thk
Sure!
Knot One is the Arbor Knot, Knot Two is a Locked Half Blood Knot, The loop for Knot Three looks very much like a Figure of Eight Knot.

Arbor knot is what it’s called
Your first two way swivel knot, the very simple one. Couldn't you use that on a hook, too if you put the line through the eyelet first, then tied the double knot, then tied the second double knot.
Tha adventage of the 3rd knot is that you can change swivels without cutting the line
Your bait I got from you don't work in In arizona by laughlin and lake Havasu
4:03 I berly know that knot
Found my new favorite knot to tie swivels and hooks…. 30 seconds to cast lol
i personally would (knot) use a double loop knot for swivels, its kinda over complicated and i would much rather just us a palomar knot.
I never see the first knot
Flip your camera so we are looking at your hand positions as we are holding our knots.
That should say Davy knot

If you listen to this at 0.25 speed it sounds like he's wasted. It's fucking hilarious.
This is a reel knot. The first knot you ever use just to put line on your spool.
Yha professor Brandon the fishermen... what about going really fishing videos clips you stopped the real things
Will be back fishing next week video!
