Why does Honda explain his plan to the crew? What does that accomplish? And why does he want that 2nd Gen egg? If the 1st Gen bugs are all anti-human due to genetic memory, how could he possibly control these new bugs? And if his goal was to retrieve the egg, why did he lie to all but two of the crew about the mission's goal? He didn't even need to tell the crew he wanted to create super soldiers. If he just said "I want the egg to study it because i'm a scientist" then it's unlikely anyone would rebel against him!

He didn't want a second gen egg. The second gen was improvised by the woman controlling them; she didn't want to go find their nests to get an egg and so she made them copulate. That was not planned by Hondo. As for his plan with the others, he wanted them all to die fighting so he could collect fight data as he states because apparently that is valuable. He was doubtless going to kill the other two when they got back with the egg, and I'd imagine his plan was to give himself the control ability but that is speculative.

The fact that the cockroaches became the terra formars through rapid evolution is actually more terrifying that most people would think On mars, the cockroaches faced no competition and no threats, asides from the inhospitable atmospheric conditions. This means that if they were to evolve, they wouldn't remain as just one species of cockroaches, but would instead turn into a vast array of unique species of cockroaches, which would get to the point that they would become each other's natural preys and predators. There should've been an entire ecosystem of cockroach-like creatures, but instead, we only have one species of cockroaches here; the Terra Formars. One way or another, the Terra Formars have evolved far above the rest of the other creatures, achieving levels and strength, speed, and intelligence that we couldn't have imagined to be achievable by mere cockroaches. But why did they evolve such greatness? In the world of nature, things don't just evolve stronger traits just because they can, they evolve stronger traits because they have to in order to survive. This would mean that other species of cockroaches had also achieved similar levels of strength, speed and/or intelligence, which led to the Terra Formars to evolving even greater abilities just to even survive, as per the rules of Natural Selection. But this begs the question: Where did the other cockroach species go? My theory is that through Natural Evolution, Terra formars had become so powerful, that they were able to successfully eradicate any other species of cockroach across the entire planet, so that they could have the entire planet to themselves. Terra Formars aren't just a product of rapid evolution, *they are the monsters near the peak of evolution that cockroaches could ever achieve, and they're still evolving*

The mamga this movie is based on is notoriously racist. The mutated roaches are made to look like black people wearing gold chains and holding guns like gangsters, it's shocking.
